Atlanta Roofing Specialists is a full service roofing contractor. We can handle all of your residential and commercial roofing needs, from the smallest repair to the largest roof, no job is too big or too small! Atlanta Roofing Specialists was incorporated in May of 1993 by Kevin King and Mark Rutherford. Prior to starting the company Kevin, who has a business degree from the university of West GA, had worked with an insurance repair contractor and had extensive knowledge of estimating and the "Business" side of the industry. Mark had served in the U.S. Army and worked in the industry installing roofs since 1987 and had learned that quality workmanship and attention to detail was the key to a successful business. Since then, ARS has grown to be one of the largest and most respected roofing contractors serving the metropolitan Atlanta area. We set the standards of quality that other companies can only hope to achieve. Our goal is to provide our customers with the highest quality, most dependable service available. Excellent! We were worried the problem was going to be more serious, and were relieved by how quick, inexpensive, and effective the repairs were. Their employee (Rictor Vipond) arrived early and completed the repair before he was even due to arrive.

About a year later, I noticed a missing shingle on the corner of my roof and called Atlanta Roofing Specialists again....it turns out one of the guys that had worked on my roof from Atlanta Roofing Specialists (no longer works for them) had done one part of the roof incorrectly. They immediately sent out a team to fix it correctly, and added a new drip edge all around my roof at no charge. When they left and I looked at my new drip edge, I noticed that the galvanized metal did not blend well with the rest of my 1923 cottage, which had white painted wood. I talked to the owner and he sent two gentleman out again who primed and painted the drip edge so that it now nicely blends with my home--all at no extra charge.

When I called to request the estimate of repair, they were very efficient in getting things taken care of. A couple of days later, the estimator showed up as promised and I was given an estimate for repair. The estimator also checked the rest of the roof for potential problem areas, pointed out some issues that were included in the quote. Having the repair scheduled by the company was rather problematic. While the weather provided a couple of days interference, I was okay with that. However, the office did not do a very good job of communicating when the repair would be scheduled, nor did they call back with the schedule as promised. I can understand that they are busy. However, they still need to communicate, no matter how busy they are. Once we did get a schedule, with a three hour window, the crew showed up as scheduled. They completed the job as described, actually touched up the paint around the repair, and cleaned up after themselves completely.

These folks were wonderful. The gentleman that did the estimate was on-time, polite, and took digital pics of my roof issues to show me what the problem was and left me an estimate. They were within $30 to $70 of the other 2 estimates I received, but the others had add-ons they wanted to do too. I felt like the others were simply up-selling me on stuff I didn't need. Atlanta Roofing Specialists gained my trust quite frankly with the couple of folks I dealt with throughout the process.

We were given a very reasonable estimate, a list of references, proof of bonding, and an offer of 6 months same as cash financing. No one tried to up-sell us. The workers were efficient, courteous, and professional. We were extremely satisfied with the quality of workmanship and the price, which was on par with the estimate. Kevin King, the owner, came out and personally inspected the work after the job was completed. Outstanding job!

We called during a slow period. I got an estimate within 1 week of phone call. After we accepted the proposal, they kept us informed weekly of scheduled install date. Installation was within the month. Crews arrived early, worked until dusk and finished in 2 days. Clean up was good. There was a communication gap with the bay window roof, and that was not installed for almost another month although response was quick once it was called to the company's attention.

The work was performed well or at least it appears that way. The real quality will show after the first big rainstorm of course. Their front office needs to get their act together. The work was done weeks after the original scheduled date. The promised invoice was never sent to me before the inspection (this is what tells you how much money to bring or have available). The day of the final inspection, their office called me to tell me my roof was going to be installed that week.

Overall the service was very good. ARS set an appointment a week from the day I called. David Bishop was the salesman who gave me the estimate. Although he called first, he was about 30 mins late. Once he showed up, he was professional and courteous. He walked me through the steps of roof replacement. He explained all the regular charges and about any additional charges for extra work (such as replacement of the roof decking). After I deciding on ARS, David worked with me to find the brand and color of shingle I wanted. We set a date to begin work a week from the date I signed the contract, however rain pushed the work back another week. When the work did begin, the men were polite and respectful. They completed the work in the 2 days I was told it would take. They were thorough in cleaning up after themselves, particularly given the debris that was created. My only complaint was the lack of communication when the work was delayed due to the rain.

They arrived precisely on time for the estimate and the job, and kept us informed throughout when they would be there. We have six skylights that all leaked since we bought the house and since our roof was replaced in August we have not had a single leak with the frequent heavy rains. Their very talented carpenters extended the roof overhang over a window and it looks like it was built with the house. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone. They did a beautiful job.

I picked this company because they had such a good report. On the whole I was pleased with the company and the work. The representative came promptly and was very knowledgeable about the problem. He did think the work could be started sooner than it was since the skylights ended up having to be ordered and the actual work took longer than expected. The people in the office and doing the work were very nice, polite and helpful. The skylights look great. My only criticism was that the first day they were suppose to show up, nobody came and I had to call to find out one of the workmen was sick and they couldn't do the job with one person. I felt they should have called to notify me so I wouldn't have bothered to cover everything under the skylights. The other problem was the workmen had to leave to go get supplies and left the skylight opening uncovered. Naturally, a bird flew in the house through the opening! They did help get it out. The company was very receptive to my concerns.

EXCELLENT, AWESOME and FABULOUS.....The replaced a ridge cap and fixed the problem caused by a different roofing company. We have already called them to set up an estimate appointment for a new roof. I also called 5 other companies at the same time that I called Atlanta Roofing and two of them called back after the repair had already been made.

The crew worked very hard and did an excellent job. The estimator claimed it would take 1 day, but due to weather, the amount of boards/sheets being replaced, and the actual size of the job, it took 3 days, including much of a Saturday. I absolutely do not fault them for taking longer than 1 day, I just wanted a quality job which we got. The crew chief gave me his home phone number in case the tarp did not hold the rain off of the roof during the night.

They answered the phone call right away, were courteous, and scheduled an appointment. David Bishop came to give me an estimate. He came an hour earlier than scheduled but had called to let me know that he was available to come earlier. The repair crew came when they were scheduled. I paid a premium for an emergency call ($300), because I did not feel comfortable waiting for the 2 weeks that I was originally quoted. This emergency fee allowed for service on the same day that I called. I worked with Christy to set this up, and I checked with her periodically throughout the day to determine the estimated time of arrival. The crew contacted me when they were on their way to my house. They repaired the leak, due to blistered shingles, in about 20 minutes. The crew indicated that I needed to contact the manufacturer of the shingles to get reimbursement for the shingles because the shingles were blistering prematurely. I will follow up on this. I was pleased with the overall experience and would hire them again.

THE COMPANIES WORK WAS SUPERIOR, GOOD PRICES TOO, VERY GOOD QUALITY WORK FAST TOO. THEIR GOOD REPUTATION SHOWS THROUGH. THE MINOR PROBLEM WITH THE "CHANGE ORDER" SHEET WAS CLEARED UP IN 15 MINUTES.
