Description of Work: I used UNIVERSAL HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONINGSM - MARIETTA

Description of Work: The gentleman came out and told me what services they could perform. I chose not to contact the services but he did provide me with some basic information which proved to be very helpful. I felt that they were very honest and I was very satisfied with their professionalism and courtesy. They were very responsive and punctual. Once the small measure was taken by me, the issue ceased. I would recommend them in the future just based on their professionalism, honesty and kindness.

Description of Work: Had a leak in basement by water heater. Contractor dispatched by home warranty company. On initial call technician was there in timely manner, evaluated situation, and told us we needed to replace water heater. He replaced the water heater the same day. Later that night, when entering the basement, discovered strong smell of natural gas. It was too late for them to dispatch anyone that night, so I was told they would send someone out first thing in the morning. I spoke with someone at ARS a little after 7 the next morning and was told they would dispatch the same technician and that they would call me 30 minutes before the technician was scheduled to arrive. I received a call at 8:25 and returned home. Techncian did not arrive until 10:40 and told me that he had initially been dispatched to a different call and hadn't been directed to my house until almost 9:00. He determined that he had failed to tighten the connections and that's where the gas was leaking. He admiitted it was completely his fault and that he should have checked them before he left, but that he was in a hurry. Correcting the problem took him about 15 minutes, but I missed 3 hours of work because of his carelessness and delay in arriving. I contacted the company, explained what had happened, and asked about the possibility of a credit. I had spent $60 for the initial service fee, $1,000 for the new water heater, and 3 hours of lost work and felt that some kind of adjustment should be made for their mistake. I wasn't expecting a lot; something in the $50 - $100 range would have satisfied me. After being put off for two weeks, I was finally informed that they weren't going to make any adjustments because they weren't responsible for traffic delays. They wouldn't even discuss the initial reason for having to have someone come back in the first place.

Description of Work: We were given their name from our home insurance company. Two men came out and we didn't feel comfortable from the start. They would not give any type of estimate over the phone for replacing a simple bathroom faucet. There estimate (once they were here) was $300-$400. The company that ended up doing the job charged us $81. The main reason we did not have them return to do any work was their lack of proffessionalism. Hard to explain. It's never a good sign when they boast about how busy and on demand they are while putting down other companies. Their work should speak for itself.
