Description of Work: The provider sent some out to look at my water heater and they gave me an estimate of 3400.00 to replace. Then AFC called me and said that they couldn't cover it because it was an 80 gallon water heater and they only cover up to 75. Also they said because it was 14 years old it had depreciated so much that they wouldn't give much even if they did cover it. The general manager "Kristen Lewis " was rude and dismissive. Sorry I ever bought this policy. Buyer Beware!!

Description of Work: Denied claim on basis the HVAC units had not been maintained. When told I had the receipts for annual inspections and service for every year since they were new, I was informed the only thing that could cause a 16 year old compressor to fail was inadequate maintenance and they would not pay for replacement of the unit. BIG ripoff...

Description of Work: They sent American Plumbing Co. to repair my washer. They were great...very busy and takes a bit to get an appointment, but I have been really happy with Choice Home Warranty and its' providers.

Description of Work: I subscribe to them, but I haven't needed to file a claim yet. Their rate is less expensive than American Home Shield for the same coverage.

Description of Work: Just purchased our home and the seller included this home warranty. Had one of our AC units failed so we called. The technician came out and diagnosed the problem and provided info to the home warranty company. They responded with "it was a pre existing condition and not covered". Despite the fact that the home inspection had checked both units and they were in working order. Don't waste your money for a worthless warranty program.

I think the service was great and used it quite a bit but when I inquired about purchasing an additional year the purchase price had gone up to $600.00 and I decided not to buy. Very satisfied with the service but not the price to renew.

Description of Work: This is purportedly a Home Warranty service I was stupid enough to purchase. when my heat went out, it turned out that their 24/7 phone line was untrue - eventually, three days and numerous class later, (still no heat) someone from the answering service called me back and informed me that they would decide when it was cold enough (40 degrees/55 in my house) to send someone out to work the furnace. Fortunately, I has used American Express and was abler to successfully dispute the charge. No matter what the smoothtalking sales people, DO NOT use this service.
