He was a bit late, adjusted two knobs on the door and when I was ready to leave, it wouldn't go down at all. This all happened within 15 minutes of him leaving. Called him directly, he stated that the garage opener was cheap and that I needed a new one. I asked if he could come right back and fix it. He said no, he was in Kennesaw already and could come next week. I called the office to complain and they said pretty much the same.
Description of Work: My garage door won't go down, but will go up. I called to have them check it out.

They came in at the best price. The work took less than two hours to complete. The workers were nice and genuine. I was happy with them. Yes, they went through everything. They missed one thing, but its kind of minuscule.
Description of Work: I had my two garage doors replaced. I had garage door openers put in too.

We paid $20 for an estimate, that they then applied towards fixing the door. We were told the estimate was free, but ended up having to pay a little money for it ($20). We felt it was well worth it, and they were excellent. This was our first time using them, and would recommend them.

They made an adjustment on one side, but not on the other. Every time that they come out, they want to charge me money, for things that should've been correct the first time, like trim, labor, etc. Today they didn't charge me because you I raised such as a fuss.
Description of Work: They adjusted my garage doors because I was getting vermin in my garage ever since I had new doors installed a few years ago due to a gap that was left.

I contacted All Four Seasons after reading the reviews on Angie's List. The repair was scheduled for the same day. Anthony arrived on time and quickly replaced both springs and got our door working again before the coldest night of the season. Anthony was courteous and professional. I would definitely call All Four Seasons again.

A Cautionary Tale Last week one of the springs on our very old garage door (original contractor grade install from 1987) broke. On the coldest night so far this season, my wife was not happy about having to park outside. Her job requires her to leave at 5:00 AM so I was manually lifting the door for her when she left and upon her arrival as I work from home. I checked my local NextDoor neighbor site for recommendations and All 4 Seasons Garage Door was one of the ones that came highly recommended. I called and spoke to Dana who scheduled an appointment for the next day – Friday 12/9 to have a technician come out between 11AM to 1PM. Wray showed up around 10AM – bit early, but I’ll take early over late any day. He took a look at the door and the broken spring and suggested a spring replacement would be a few hundred dollars or we could replace the door for a few hundred dollars more which would include new springs or, more accurately, a torsion bar. The obvious decision to me, considering the age of the door, was to have them (both doors) replaced since that was sure to be an inevitability due to their age. Wray showed me the options available in the Amarr catalog. Our current doors are gray but Wray informed me the only doors in stock are White and Almond; he mentioned we could paint the door if we wanted. If I selected either of these color choices, the doors could be installed in a week. Any other colors would have to be special ordered and would take approximately 3-4 weeks and probably longer due to the holidays. Since I could not see myself manually opening and closing the door for several weeks, I opted for the quicker option and selected the Stratford 3000 in white. During this visit, my wife was not at home so I told Wray I would have to consult with her for final approval. He informed me that they would not have to put the paperwork in until Monday to meet any ordering and scheduling requirements and I could just call him and let him know of any changes she requested. In the meantime, I completed the single page (front and back) contract and gave him a $200 check as my deposit. For the record, the paperwork clearly states the deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. When my wife got home I showed her the catalog Wray had left with me and the door options on which I had decided. She informed me she did not want to go with the white doors and suggested we have someone else come out to see if they had other color and style options and shorter timeframes for special order. We had another company, which was also highly recommended by my neighbors on NextDoor, come out the next day (Saturday). I found out that I was not dealing with a technician or a sales person, but the owner of the company and that he had recently done an install a few houses down for one of our friends. Knowing this gave us a lot of security as I trust my friend’s recommendation over a stranger’s. The biggest selling point was he offered to repair the springs so that we would not have to manually raise and lower the door while waiting for our custom color (gray) doors to arrive. I appreciate when a company goes out of their way to solve my immediate concerns and problem. I guess you can do that when you are working directly with the owner of the company. I should also note that Wray from All 4 Seasons never offered to repair the door while we waited for the install – custom or otherwise. Due to these reasons we opted to go with “company B” to have the doors replaced. I immediately called Wray who had left me his cell phone number. He did not answer when I called so I left him a message letting him know I wished to cancel my contract with him and asked him to tear up the check as we had opted to go with “company B”. I did not hear back from Wray until Monday when he informed me he had received my message and was asking what they could do to keep my business. I explained the reasons why I chose “company B” over All 4 Seasons. It was only then that he offered to repair the spring while we waited and indicated they could have the door installed the next day (in the original white) – remember the original estimate was for at least a week on the “in stock” doors. I informed him that my wife wanted the gray doors which we both knew would take several weeks to get in and wish he would have made the repair offer when he was here, but he did not. At this point, he informed me that there was nothing he could do for me as I had signed the contract and I would be forfeiting my deposit. He said someone from the office would call me. Blake from the office called me back a short while later and re-iterated what Wray had already told me and that I was out my $200. I asked them if they could show some consideration for our circumstances and NOT deposit my check and to NOT put the paperwork through since I had expressed to Wray my decision to cancel within 24 hours of his visit to my home. Blake was adamant that there was nothing they could do and continued to remind me that I had signed the paperwork and the paperwork clearly showed the deposit is NOT REFUNDABLE. No amount of conversation was going to change his mind and he said he is not authorized to do anything for me. He said someone else (I suppose a manager or someone of higher authority) would call me back to discuss the issue further – after several days, I have yet to hear from anyone else at All 4 Seasons Garage. I’m not saying they are in the wrong. They are fully within their rights to keep my $200 because I did sign the contract and make the deposit. What I am saying is, apparently, they are not willing to take individual circumstances into account and are quick to stand by the letter of their contract. I have spent many years in the customer service industry and I appreciate a company that goes out of their way for their customers and takes into consideration the human-ness of their clients. What I was hoping for from All 4 Seasons was a little compassion and understanding especially right before the holidays. Money is always tight and a $200 hit with nothing more to show for it is very painful. So, my word of caution to any of you that may have taken the time to read this full review is to NEVER sign a contract or pay a deposit until you (and your spouse) are 100% ready to follow through. For the record, there is no 3-Day right to Cancel a contractor agreement in the state of Georgia. My final word of advice is you may be better served to work with a smaller company that is willing and able to show some flexibility and take care of you and your needs as opposed to a conglomerate such as All 4 Seasons. They may be family owned, but it felt like was I was dealing with a mega corporation treading through their levels of bureaucracy who could really care less about anything else but to pad their bottom line. You won, All 4 Seasons; enjoy my $200!

The tech called asking if he could arrive early, and when he did he was so professional. He briefly reviewed what was on his work order and was there anything that was not explained over the phone. He visually checked out the operation of the door, inspected the opener itself and came to the conclusion the spring could certainly use an adjustment, AND the opener needed a minor tweak itself. Very professionally he indicated the last vendor who installed the new spring should have shown me how with 2 dial adjustments how to change the "Travel and Force" of the door. He showed me that the changing the force dial allowed the door on closing to STOP with less force so as not to damage the bumper of a car and a child if they got stuck under the door. Bottom line this tech explained to me he'd prefer to go the extra mile and explain the operation so when he walks away we felt comfortable and confident...not to mention I already referred them to others for service. Wow, who would have thought a service provider would come out, repair the problem and not want to shake me down and up-sell me on things I don't need. JOB WELL DONE.
Description of Work: Spring Adjustment- my garage door after having the spring replaced 2 years ago was very herky jerky at opening. After doing my own few lubrication to the door parts I knew I needed a Pro. I'm a major DIY Pro but I know garage doors are better left to professionals because the spring can severely injure you.

Fine except for pricing. Was a quoted a price at the beginning and when the work was done and about to pay, I brought my Angie's coupon. Was told then that if using the coupon, the price is more negating more-or-less the coupon's value. That is a deceiving practice. In others words, with or without the coupon, the final price is the same.

One of our torsion springs broke on Thursday and the door was no longer operational. After researching companies, we called All Four Seasons since they had great ratings here and from other sources. Dean came out on a Saturday (we booked Thursday); no upcharge. He was very professional & knew what he was doing. We replaced both springs since the one that wasn't broken was 14 years old; no need to replace one and have another break. He also took care of a couple other small items at no extra charge & advised how to properly maintain. He was able to save us the expense of a new torsion bar even though the original installer had overtightened the springs and crimped the bar. Dean straightened it out in order to remove the old springs and assured us there was no need to replace it. Also, no sales pitch for a new door or un-needed services. Would highly recommend.
