AEM did a wonderful job! They were responsive to my requests, provided recommendations along the way, and ensured the job was done to my expectation.

Excellent! I would like to hire them again, but they are not responding to my messages. Im guessing they are busy. I have reached out to quite a few contractors and no answer from them either. May just be a busy season.

Arnoldo's crew showed up on time. They always do great work. They always have ended up doing more than what I pay for. I am hard to please, but AEM construction exceeds my expectations every time. This is not my first time hiring and it wont be my last. I have no idea how they are able to do such great work for such little cost. Jennell is always patient when I talk to her and change my mind about things.

AEM did an incredible job. We were very pleased with their work and their integrity. Arnaldo was very professional and very prompt, he came early to give us the bid and gave us our bid two days after. They gave us new ideas and always had our best interest in mind. They would do little things to improve the basement without us asking with no extra cost. For example, when they put in the new window they immediately painted the outside trim to match the rest of the house. They were also easy to work with when we made last minute changes. We felt very comfortable having them in our home. We would not be surprised if they won another service reward from Angies list.

They returned my call very fast and beat other quotes I already had. The owners and workers were very professional, they took very good care of my house (very tidy). Not only did they deal with the water damage, but also took care of repairing the drywall, crown molding, and painting. Will definitely use again.

It went so well and fast. And I was super pregnant and tired so I really appreciated that. Communication was very important and I could always get ahold of someone. I upgraded the new foyer lights with no problem and even had them install a dimmer. They matched my new and existing carpet well and even fixed my baseboard that was slightly higher than the rest. And I really appreciated them installing the window treatments because if I had done it, I'm sure I would have broken something. They also prepped the downstairs walls to be painted even though we ended up painting ourselves. I can't wait to work with them on our next project!

They showed up when scheduled and completed the project within a few days, and did a great job. They covered everything and were very neat.  Their crew was very professional, and did a great job.  The company was very easy to work with and very responsive with any questions I had.  I only hired them to sheetrock, mud and tape, and was planning to prime and paint myself, but I am considering hiring them again to do the painting as well. 

AEM Construction and Restoration went above and beyond my expectations for the renovation. The owner, Arnoldo, his wife, Jennell and the workers provided excellent customer service. AEM was always available and responded in a timely manner to my questions and requests. If Arnoldo saw something that compromised my safety he let me know.  For example, when I asked that they remove a door off of the master bedroom (which was in the back of the house). Arnoldo told me I needed that door in case I needed to get out in an emergency. He was correct.

AEM was always professional. I would recommend them. All of the work that was done was quality work. I love what they did to my home.

They did an amazing job.  The ideas we had on how to maximize ceiling space around the duct work were OK, but their suggestions allowed us to have the most high ceiling possible without having it look strange.  They created trays and really made the basement look amazing.  I cannot stress how challenging the situation was in the basement and how it amazing it looks today.  I would recommend these guys to everyone.

Jennell managed the whole project and provided all the necessary information and paperwork to my insurance company and my mortgage company.  She coordinated all efforts for my return home including picking replacement cabinets, fixtures, paint colors and hardwood flooring.  Arnoldo and his crew did an excellent job replacing my floors, cabinets, sheet rock and paint.  I would highly recommend this company.  They met all minimum requirements specified by the insurance company and went beyond to insure I was satisfied.  Thank you for making my return home a pleasure!!

Arnoldo came out as promised to view and confirm quote we had been given previously, he showed up on time to start the job and had his tech here regularly to carry it out. They ran plumbing, fan vent, installed 2 windows, kitchenette, put up and finished sheetrock, paint, and flooring. They completed all work in a timely manner, made a repair to our deck above that was causing a leak to the basement, came out the day it rained to confirm it was done properly prior to continuing finishing work in basement. We asked him to add on some trim finishing that was incomplete from a previous DIY project and he went above and beyond to make it look great and touch up surrounding area for a beautiful finish. We are thrilled with the outcome and impressed with the sheetrock finish and paint; the walls look so much better than the original sheetrock in our home. Arnoldo regularly discussed the project with us and answered any questions I had, he never made me feel like we were pestering him even though I asked for a lot. He was very personable and made suggestions when asked but never forced us into anything and left final say up to us. He saved us money on materials by letting us know if he could get something somewhere else as compared to what we had purchased for him to install. As we completed this project we immediately scheduled exterior paint with him and are currently scheduling new flooring for upper floor of home.

Arnoldo and his crew did an excellent job on our basement..  They went above & beyond our expectation.  Arnoldo met with me quickly and gave me an estimate within days.  They started work the next week.  His crew was nice & professional.  They worked diligently and came to work when they said they would.  I could tell they took pride in their work.  Arnoldo and his crew worked Christmas Eve and New Years Eve to complete this job on time.  There was heavy rain & flooding accruing in the area at that time. Arnoldo and his crew located the source of water entering my garage and waterproof the area.  We are extremely pleased with the finished product.  Our basement looks like a new build.  I would recommend AEM to anyone and I will use them again.

They did such a nice job and it was done quickly with little down time. Pricing was great and they went the extra mile by resolving unexpected issues that arose on my end. My ceiling was perfect even with a sheen finish. Great to work with and cleaned up afterwards!

The people who built my home placed the washer/dryer alcove in the hallway across from the thermostat. It was hard to regulate the heat/air in the house when the dryer was on, so we decided to have doors built into the alcove and an exhaust fan added. The hallway also needed some drywall repair and painting.

After getting several estimates (including talking to one person who asked me to send him some pictures and he would quote from that) I chose AEM.

I can?t say enough about how pleased I am with their work. The job was done well, and on schedule. The workers were polite, and very considerate of my home. (They put down plastic all the way from the work site to the front door, so they wouldn?t track dirt on my carpet.)

They did all the nice things that make a job look elegant. They painted the hallway antique white, and all the doors and trim gloss white. They painted the shelf inside the alcove. They replaced the linoleum. They even found doorknobs to match the ones already in the hallway.

I would strongly recommend you call AEM for your next repair job.

AEM came through big time for me after my house received storm damage to the roof. They showed up the day I called them to do temporary repairs and demo, and then did a great job not just fixing the roof, but doing all of the interior work with new carpet, drywall, plaster work, and paint as part of a home renovation project, and not just for the storm damage as I had originally called them for. I would use them for any project without hesitation, and greatly enjoyed working with them from start to finish.

They did a great job.   Arrived on time and worked diligently.

Arnoldo came in and quoted within a day of calling to schedule the quote. He was on time and so super nice to work with. He had great ideas and I appreciated that he wasn't trying to just sell me on things. He provided excellent input and it was so nice to work with someone who felt like they were actually on my team. The crew was scheduled to begin work within the week and actually built it all within one day!! They also were on time, cordial, and worked so hard!! I was shocked when they built it all within 1 day! They were a super nice crew and made me feel 100% comfortable in my home. They actually went above and beyond. They know how to finish a product and you can tell that they take pride in their work. It was a completely different experience to turn something over to a contractor and have the finished product exceed expectations?! I'm so sold on these guys they are now painting my house!! I just realized I never left a review and I knew it was overdue as these guys are blowing past expectations yet again! I'm new to ATL so I use Angie's for everything and figured I would post a review because it's tough to weed through the not so great ones!

Arnaldo and Jenelle were very easy to work with.  They were fast to respond to any queries and were absolutely flexible with change-orders that are inevitable on jobs of this magnitude. Everything was upfront with no hidden expenses or fees. They went above and beyond in taking care of the customer.
After the nightmare of dealing with my original contractor they were a breath of fresh air.

AEM was the lowest estimate by far of 5 bids we received. The work was performed on time (before expected), on budget (no hidden cost), and they actually provided more than expected. They provided design advice that was much appreciated and the crew kept the work area cleaned each day. They were responsive to any issues noted during and after the project. 
Items to note: Crew does not speak much English (this had little impact on the project as a whole). If you want any networking e.g. cat 5 cable run you may want to hire your own electrician (one of the only issues we experienced). There were a few times when scheduling the crew was a last minute exercise with little notice (this is common in construction). 
Overall: We were extremely pleased by the finished product and the experience with AEM and would recommend them for this type of work request.

AEM went above and beyond our expectations.  They treated our home as if it was their own.  They are honest, hard working and VERY pleasant to work with.  They actually did more than we had hired them to do and at no additional cost.
We never walked into a contruction hazard or a messy work sight.  AEM cleaned up after themselves after each day.      
AEM covered all of our floors (Hardwoods and Carpet) during the entire process.  The floors looked flawless when they left.  They covered/closed off rooms as needed as well.  Arnaldo (the owner) is a perfectionist and will not leave a job or project until it is completed to his standards.
AEM was given a 130 item scope of work - most line items were multiple parts - to tackle.  This list can be overwhelming as I have a tendency to write very exact details and have a very opinionated idea of what good looks like in home renovations as I have done many of these in the past.  In hindsight, the scope was not as required as I thought due to AEM wanting to do it right.  I have hired over 40 contractors in the last 3 years.  AEM is by far the best contractor I have found.  
When we initially got the quote for our house from AEM (among others), they were the only ones who said it would take an extra month to complete as they had a fair bit of work.  My opinion is that the contractors who aren't busy are that way for a reason.  To my surprise, they did begin work on certain items immediately.  The Monday after signing the contract, they stripped and replaced the shingles on our house!  Additionally, we found the initial contact with Jennell was not as responsive as some very eager (bored) contractors.  Again, this is a product of being good at what you do.  Jennell took and extra few hours for the initial contact and was very responsive once the work began.  She treated us like we were her only clients at the time and that very much appreciated.  I know that most people want their questions answered in a timely manner during a project, and rest assured, Jennell is very responsive during the project and will put you at ease if any issues do arise. 
AEM takes pride in completing the project on budget and will do everything they can to make that happen.  During the course of our very large prject on a 60 year old home, they only found old cast iron piping that required an additional $1900 to repair/replace.  Less than 2% deviation from a quote is world class in any industrial/commercial project, not to mention the standard deviation in the unpredicatable residnetial construction arena!!! 
We have hired MANY contractors in the past to work on our previous homes and AEM is the ONLY company we have trusted and the ONLY company we will use again!!!
Their prices are very fair and extremely competetitive.  The results of their labor are worth much more than what they charge.   We would recommend this company to all of our friends and family....And actually, our parents plan on using them next!!!

They installed drywall in the kitchen and master bath, and patched several other walls.  I was very happy with the end result and I'd certainly recommend them!
