Absolute Sun Block

Owner Nick Karamitros came to my building, and he personally took all measurements of windows, then gave me a written, signed contract for the total job, requesting 1/3 down and balance upon completion of the job. I gave him down payment and he began job. On second day of installation (Friday 12/19) he sent text message that he would finish entire job by 5pm that day and wanted final 2/3 payment. As it got closer to end of day he requested check early so he could "get to bank before closing so he could do Christmas shopping". He never came back. Said he ran out of film and couldn't finish job that he claimed would be finished by 5pm that day. Nick contacted me the next day saying he had to order more film and I had to pay him nearly $500 MORE than the original contracted price IN CASH before he would show up to finish the job. If he measured wrong, cut wrong, ordered wrong or doesn't know how to use his own calculator, then he is responsible for the mistake, and no ETHICAL business owner would try to stiff a customer for his own mistake. He has been paid IN FULL the contract amount but left me with botched half-done job because I refused to pay MORE for his mistake. The really unscrupulous, unethical thing he did was knowingly walking out on a half finished job and getting his full payment early by playing on "the Christmas spirit". Shame on me for letting the "Christmas spirit" shield a scam artist. He knew before he weaseled the final payment early that he had no intention of finishing unless he tried to scam me for more money. NICK KARAMITROS IS A CON ARTIST WHO IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED!!!
