They came out, diagnosed and fixed quickly.

Jeff phoned me when he was a little delayed by construction traffic near us. Was courteous and professional. Had the part needed on his truck and fixed it without a hitch. A fine job and I'm very pleased.

didn't show up with the correct parts the first visit, and then came back a second day with correct parts, but charged me twice for the same service

The whirlpool was installed incorrectly. The tech looked very hard for the breaker throughout the 4 story house and we could not find one. I learned a lot and I would use them again.

AAA was very reliable and professional. They took care of the problem quickly and professionally. They also shared advice on what to look for as signs of filter failure in the future.

Showed up on time and replaced the old pool pump very quickly. They also had to replace some PVC pipe to make the new unit fit.

Called before arriving. Arrived on time. Offered advice about water quality issues. Also offered to mail water maintenance instructions later (which they did). Helpful, professional and courteous. Would use their services again.

Jeff came out at the appointment time and diagnosed the problem quickly. He ordered the replacement pump and returned the following Friday to install the new pump. He is punctual, dog friendly, and in general a very nice guy. He even carries dog treats to give to the dogs he encounters. He was in and out in an hour, after waiting a short time to ensure the heater was bringing up the temperature. This is the second time I have used him for a hot tub issue, and I would absolutely call AAA Pool and Spa Service for my future needs.

After I submitted the report below, I received a call on Friday night while I was having dinner with friends from someone named Brad from AAA who was harassing me about the partial payment AAA received. I think he was trying to act like a lawyer, as he was grilling me about whether the spa worked and how it was likely my own fault if it didn't, and I should pay. He didn't ask if it was a good time to talk, and I had had a drink already, so I had little patience with him. A memorable line was "We want you to be a satisfied customer, and we want you to pay your bill." I responded, "So just pay and be happy about the fact that my hot tub doesn't work?" and he said, "Well . . . " and went back to how if there was a problem, it was likely my own fault. I did say that if the hot tub started working, and stayed working for 10 days, I would pay the rest of my bill. Then he started asking the same questions over and over, and I (admittedly quite rudely) hung up on him. When I returned from a 10 day trip over the holidays, the spa was working again, and it has worked for 10 days. I sent in the remainder of the bill to AAA Pool and Spa. As Brad told me AAA would not return to the house without billing me again, I'm not sure if Jeff did fix it while I was gone (he usually leaves a bill when he comes, and there was none), or if the hot tub is just quirky, and I'm not going to ask. But I am finished with AAA Pool and Spa. ___________________ Jeff has serviced our spa for a year, and it has never worked more than two weeks. We kept hiring him because he came so highly recommended. He is a nice guy, and very professional, but he can't fix a hot tub. Over the year, we've paid him over $1500, and our hot tub still does not work. He always has an excuse for why it doesn't work. Conveniently for him, none of these "reasons" is covered by any guarantee or warranty. Finally, this last repair was estimated to be $500, but the bill was $875. Again, the tub wasn't completely fixed, which he had an excuse for, and it didn't run but for two weeks before dying again. He also had an excuse for that ("If you ran it, it's because you had a short, and if you didn't run it, it's because it was cold outside") and is demanding full payment without any further service or repairs. We will, after being fooled for a year, find a real hot tub repair service.

I was concerned, as I looked up the pump on the internet the night before. I could not find that pump and pump prices were a couple of hundred dollars for material alone. When I scheduled the appointment, I was a little apprehensive about the hourly price. My concern quickly disappeared when he told me he could save the pump and impeller. He really brought value to the service, and I will use them again in the future.
