December 2022 post new American Standard furnace installation update: Discovered that my attic stairs will not close anymore. It appears during the installation damage to the brackets that fold to allow closing of the door were damaged. It had to have been quite forceful damage because the brackets are not fixable by hand and screw that holds the top brace is ready to fall off. Both springs now improperly aligned. Photos posted of damage to steps. If I had been told that the attic steps was damaged, I would have felt better with the honesty. Now, I'm less trusting because I wonder if my new furnace was damaged too. December follow-up: Emailed A-Team Services about the damage to the attic stairs/ladder and let them know the photos are posted here. Reply on December 28, 2022 was "We will speak to our technician and get back to you tomorrow. However, it is very common for this to happen to stairs just from opening and closing them." Really?! Common for attic ladders to be damaged like this just from opening and closing them? I will contact the major attic ladder manufactures/distributors to verify, because I don't believe that claim based on past service problems: 1 - Despite different techs for years pointing out TXV defect and a class action lawsuit about faulty TXV defect, Rodney said the problem was a leak and used Stop Leak but the next year, the same problem occurred. After close to $700 charge for the Stop Leak "fix", Andre advocated for me that the TXV was defective and when it was replaced, the problem stopped. 2 - No T-connection for the condensate drain pipe when my new furnace was installed in October leaving me no way to pour vinegar to keep the drain free of slug. Marcio returned to install one. 3 - This damage to my attic stairs/ladder being called "common from opening/closing" is incredible. Another poster (believe it was Rodney's neighbor) of a low review, saying problems are "normal" or "common" to dismiss them is unacceptable. I will give A-Team the opportunity to respond as they promised to in their "get back to you" email before filing a BBB complaint. Result of "get back to you": Rodney left a voice message that Marcio claims the attic steps/ladder was not damaged and he would have let me know if he did damage them. Rodney said that 60-75% of ladders for homes they service have the same problem. That's a high percentage and I have to wonder if 2 men plus the furnace on a 275 lb limit wooden attic ladder was the cause by exceeding the ladder weight limit. Routine maintenance is only as good as the technician who does it. Accuracy and promptness of problem solving is the most important factor in who services your HVAC system. Rodney approves warranty service and major repairs and he is batting 100% error on my units that are under warranty and, in one case, under class action remediation. October 2022: New Am. Std. furnace in attic was installed by Marcio after Andre, who regularly does my semi-annual maintenance advised that by the color of the flame there is a leak but not bad enough to require replacement of the 20 yr old Ruud furnace, yet. Decided to replace the furnace due to age. Marcio did the new installation alone and was very thorough using mastik instead of flimsy foil tape. Marcio noted that the condensate drain pipe was clogged and he cleared it. Only question I had afterwards was where the condensate opening is to pour vinegar to keep the drain clear (Andre recommended that practice after using Swoosh to force the blockage out). Marcio returned to install the opening in the pipe. But the drain line installed by a previous company was not angled to drain. Simple DIY to angle the line properly and the drain now flows freely. Original 2021 post: American Standard A/C units less than 4 years old but were leaking R410 each year. Notes on maintenance since 2017 kept mentioning a problem TXV, but Rodney said it was the compressor which is under warranty and ordered a replacement. Rodney came to fix problem and discovered each A/C unit had a leak somewhere in the coolant line and applied Leak Stop. Both A/C units worked fine through the summer (2020). Leak Stop should seal leak for life of A/C. Update 2021 summer: Turns out the TXV valve was a defect and a class action lawsuit would have covered the repair, if it was filed by 2020. Lesson learned is to believe what the technicians diagnose the same problem multiple times and research for manufacturer defects.

They didn't show up at the scheduled time. Missed it by over 4 hours. I waited 4 hours (1pm to 5pm) and had to call them before that window ended for them to tell me it would be another 30 minutes to an hour and a half before someone arrived. This is not acceptable. It was not a 15 minute wait when I gave you a 4 hour time window to arrive, and then you choose to not only miss that window but ask me to accommodate for an extra hour and a half of my time. The part that angers me is the business owner posting the personal details of my past and future appointments online, in an attempt to shame me into removing my negative reviews. Reader beware: this company will post your personal details and appointment information online. I was recommended A Team Services Heating and Air from my realtor, but that has clearly turned out to be a terrible recommendation.

Arrived on time and completed installation within 4 hours. All went well. The men were very professional.

Great! Came home from work to find our A/C out. Technician arrived within 30 minutes (I called at least 10 local companies) and was extremely friendly, professional, and efficient. We were so impressed that we signed up for a service plan!

They did a good job. I would use them again.

I had my upstairs (bedrooms) HVAC unit replaced yesterday with a 2-ton 16 SEER American Standard A/C unit and a variable speed furnace with 2-stage cooling from A-Team Services. They had the best price of the four quotes I got and offered 36-month no interest financing. The new system is quiet and will surely cool better than the old one in the 80s+ temps we'll have soon. Cost (including 5" media filter and $300 wireless, programmable thermostat) was around $5300. There were a couple of minor issues along the way, but that can be expected with any company. What's important to me is how they respond, and A-Team addressed and resolved the issues to my complete satisfaction.

The professional service given to us by the owner and his crew was above and beyond. The old central HVAC unit we had finally gave up. Within a couple of hours a senior member of the company showed up and honestly discovered the dead compressor issue. Our downdraft system isn't a common type any longer, but he sat with us and made calls to find a replacement. In less than an hour arraignments were made and a unit was placed on order. It took a couple of days for it to arrive and in the interim the company brought to us and loaned us a window unit to get us through the hot days until the new central unit was installed. 6 Stars rating! These guys are GOOD!

They came in, helped us sort out what needed done on the vandalised home we bought, and were able to do the work really quickly. They are friendly, professional and honest. These are some of my favourite people to work with.

Orignally we had requested an estimate for rerouting a dryer vent. When the salesman came he noticed something about the heater in our crawl space. We asked him to check it out more thoroughly and discovered that pipes were starting to rust and the heater was running efficiently. We asked him for a quote for the dryer vent, heater, and air conditioning. The quote was very reasonable and they were able to install it within a week. The workers were very professional and arrived on time. I would recommend this company to anyone. I will call them anytime I need HVAC work done. What a great group of people to work with.

They have been really good. They call ahead of time to let me know when they are coming to service my unit. Every tehcnician I have dealth with is very nice, knowledgeable, and very prompt.

The price was reasonable and the workers were prompt and professional. I have used this company before at my rental property to replace a unit there as well as service. For a local Atlanta area outfit, these guys are pretty good. There was one small issue after installation. I notified them of the problem and they came right out and handled it. Service and installation issues occur in every business. It's how you respond and correct them that sets you apart. I will use these guys again.

A-Team Services has performed work for me in the past at my rental property and when I needed to upgrade my 2nd story A/C unit at my house, I called them first. I also received quotes from several other companies recommended in Angie's List but as I expected, A-Team offered the most for my money. They are friendly, professional, punctual, knowledgable and seem truly concerned about customer satisfaction. There was one minor issue with the installation and they took care of it right away. No one is perfect, but it's the response and willingness to make things right that sets them apart. Additionally, when other A/C companies try to make their entire year on the warm season, A-Team remains competitively priced year-round and doesn't gouge customers who need emergency service on weekends or late nights. This is a great group of folks and engaging them will be worth your consideration.

Whenever the owner, Rodney, comes out things get done. He's really good. But sometimes the guy he sends aren't near as good as Rodney. I've been using them over the years and what I've found that is if I really want something done right I request Rodney. This problem I had - the first guy came out and said everything was broken and we'd have to spend $3,000 to fix it. Then Rodney came out and we discussed options and it turned out we could fix it a lot cheaper rather than buy a whole new system. I got the feeling the first guy was just trying to sell me something. Their prices are reasonable. If it were just Rodney, I'd rate them an "A". I use them all the time. I got to know Rodney at first, after that when other guys would come out if I wasn't happy I'd get in touch with Rodney. I figured that out pretty quickly.

Rodney and his team did a great job! I called them after they were referred from our Realtor who strongly suggested I call them and I would be very pleased with their response and work, And we were! They made it to our house in less then 3 hours on the same day, with the new units that were needed (Outdoor compressor and indoor A-coil) both were very good quality units. They tore out the old units and found several installation problems, pointed them out and quickly fixed them, at no extra cost, since they warranty their work they want it to be right the first time. The quality of the work was outstanding, I will be calling them again and refering them to everyone who needs any HVAC work.

We were really pleased. I think they came out and gave a fair estimate for the work that needed to be done. They didn’t try and replace the whole unit just to sell us more than what we needed, so I thought they evaluated the situation well. They did a good job on the installation and getting it up and running.

I called A-Team and the owner came by within a few hours. The owner is a professional and honest man. After checking all of my gas lines thoroughly, he informed us that he had found no leaks. Then he asked me if any paint thinner or other chemical had been spilled close by. I then realized that the gas-leak smell had become apparent only after my husband, who at that time worked as an industrial painter, had returned home from work that day. My husband confirmed that he had spilled paint thinner all over himself that day. The A-Team charged $60 for a service call and told us there were no repairs for him to make. For all I know about gas lines, he could have told us there was a giant hole in one of them and the line would have to be replaced from one tee to another, and charged me hundreds of dollars for a phony repair, but this company is honest and it is this kind of honesty that will keep me as their customer.

Service was prompt. Professional. Fully explained what was done and also new thermostat. This service was prompted by my existing furnace going out and being without heat or A/C to the second floor. Called the A-TEAM who came out and surveyed the situation. Made recommendation, estimate. After okay from me, returned the 2nd day with new furnace. Well pleased with work and cost.

I initially called several HVAC companies in order to do some price comparisons. When I called A Team, I talked to Jean. When she couldn't answer all my pricing questions, she gave me the cell number of a technician (Rodney) to ask. I called him and he answered all my questions. In my brief survey, I found their pricing to be competitive. I scheduled a visit for repair of my furnace and I got an appointment for the next day. The technician (John) showed up on time and diagnosed the problem right away. The office coordinator (Jean) made several calls to locate this part (induced draft motor) and sought my approval prior to proceeding. I was very happy with the level of communication that I received from everyone at A Team that I spoke to. They gave me a comfort level with the work they performed. I would definitely use A Team again. I gave a price rating of "B" instead of "A" because the diagnosis fee was $69 and at least one other company that I called was less.

I've used this company on several occasions in the past few years. My first experience was repairing a heat pump that two other companies had serviced, but neither corrected the problem. After the initial visit, A-Team didn't correct the problem either, but instead of avoiding my calls or admitting they couldn't correct the problem, the owner came out (at no additional charge), identified the issues, and repaired it. I've been a customer ever since and use them twice a year for A/C and furnace tune-ups and minor repairs. They're very courteous, prompt for appointments, and don t suggest unneeded maintenance and repairs.
