+ -1 moreYou can barely tell where it was repaired. Which is exactly what you want on an antique. It was very well done.
Description of Work: I had the footboard of a 200 year old antique bed repaired. Where the bed rail hooks in had cracked and come apart.

Description of Work: rrefinished front doors and later repaired damage to one done by others. most recently completely redid, stripped and refinished kitchen and laundry drawer and door faces that had paint popping off. look better than they did when new. you cannot get a more professional or competent company. also had them buff out some scratch marks in a dining table. again perfection.

Description of Work: Repaired a broken wooden dining table....looks good as new. I had shopped around for years and had given up hope of getting my table fixed because the estimates were so expensive. Several "craftsmen" told me there was no guarantee the table could be repaired. A family member referred me to Whitley's. Whitley's did an excellent repair of my table at a surprisingly low price....so low I couldn't believe it was possible. From the moment I walked in the door, they made me feel like part of their family....this is a family owned business. They showed genuine concern for the care of my table and assured me it would look great. The whole experience far exceeded my expectations. I highly, highly recommend this business. I wish blessings return to them tenfold for the blessing they were to me.

Description of Work: Whitley's replaced the rocker on an antique wicker rocker that had belonged to my grandmother. One other "repair" service that had tried to repair the broken rocker said they had done the best that could be done. Whitley's said that it would be best simply to replace both rockers so that they would match and rock smoothly. They were right, and it rocks perfectly. Whitley's representatives were friendly, helpful and prompt, and I surely will use them again.

+ -1 moreBarry Whitely came to pick up my antique bed, which had a cracked headboard. While he was here, he reglued parts of two chests of drawers and a secretary desk and touched up the finish on sofa legs. He clearly is experienced and knowlegeable. All pieces of furniture looked great after his efforts. He repaired the headboard and strengthened loose joints in the bed frame. He now has my dining table for refinishing. I highly recommend his work. As to price, his work doesn't come cheap, but the prices are fair.
Description of Work: Repaired antique furniture: Reglued knobs, molding, veneer, or various innards on two chests of drawers and a secretary desk. Repaired cracked headboard on a bed and strengthened joints in the bed frame. Reattached top/handle of cake stand. Touched up finish on sofa legs.
