I received estimate Schwartz to get estimate , I approved of their price. Job was done on 1/16/15.

We just had a new roof installed on our 113 year old farmhouse-style home with very steep rooflines and a flat surface roof at the very top. We were more than pleased with the great job they did for us! The crew was the most efficient and thorough that we have ever seen! Without much conversation, they worked together with the precision of dancers in a ballet, each doing his own task so that no one was ever in the way of another and everything flowed smoothly and safely. I'll never forget the 'high-wire acrobats' walking the ridge and steep slopes of our roof while carrying plywood and bundles of shingles as though they were walking on the ground! The roof was done in less than 3 days and the clean-up was spotless! We selected GAF Timberline HD Weather Wood and TPO for the flat surface. The flat roof was finished off so perfectly it looks better than ever...possibly since the house was built! We couldn't be more pleased with our new roof and the GREAT JOB the crew did for us. My neighbor recommended this company when I was in need of a roof replacement. Upon contacting them I was really impressed with their professionalism and response time with estimates. After checking other local roofers, I found that Schwartz roofing had a very reasonable price. They set a date of service and an estimation of completion time and met both goals. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of roofing replacement or repairs. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the service they provided.

I could not have been more pleased with the service they provided me, I would highly recommend their services they were great and the price was very reasonable I went with them because they did a great job on my porch roof back in 2011 and it has never leaked since.

It was very successful & I was pleased with the work.

They understood my requirements and met them. Whatever was not right was immediately corrected. They sent an adequate number of workers to handle all areas on the project. Management was on-site several times during the job to check up on things. The total job took 4 days. The job site was kept clean daily before they left each day. They picked up all of their debris however the only negative comments was that they still left quite a few nails on the site that I was able to pick up with a magnet. Otherwise I was very pleased with the overall quality and look of the total project. .

It went very well. The day they started they were still on the roof working when I got home at 8PM & left when it was dark. No debris was left. No personal drink cups ,etc. They did one very unexpected & very nice thing. They sent a thank you card signed by staff & a HUGE fruit basket.

They were okay. I thought of using them again. I had to call them back to finish some of the stuff that the workers had left. I had some stuff inside the house that they removed without my authorization but they came and took care of it. The workers did not speak English so it was difficult to communicate with them somehow.

Completely happy with the expereince. We contacted five roofing companies in the area and requested bids. Eventually we received two bids for our job. Schwartz was not the lowest bid but we felt they were the best. It was easy (one call) to schedule the bid. The Estimator came as scheduled and provided me with all the information I requested. The bid was submitted via email within a couple of days. A week or so later I contacted the Estimator and asked him to return to discuss the job. This time he met with me and my wife. He answered all of our questions and explained the process to our satisfaction. We selected the shingles and signed a contract. While we discussed several add ons, we were not pressured to add things to what we wanted. The work with the estimator was a pleasent experience. The job included removing our old roof, inspecting the deck, repairing any problems noted, installing the new roof and a ridge vent. This included sealing the openings from the old venting system. Within a day or so we were contacted by the office and given the date the job would be done as well as the name of the supervisor. That evening we received an email containing a description of the process and the names and phone numbers of all the persons we might need to call if we had any questions or if problems occurred. We were told the job would take one or two days. The supervisor arrived as scheduled and met with me. The crew arrived at 8 AM and immediately got to work. This crew was excellent. They began work and stayed on the job all day. They took one break at lunch time of about one hour. Otherwise they were on the roof working. They were very careful to tarp the house as they removed the old roof. A truck was brought on site and placed so that the old material could be off loaded directly into the truck. The supervisor left the job after a while, after making sure I had his number if I needed him. I felt the need to speak with the crew twice during the day (other than pleasantries) and had little problems comunicating withy them. They were focused on making sure I was happy with the job. As the work progressed several old repairs were uncovered that needed replacing. The new patches were well done. Extra patching cost me extra and I was told to be careful about this. No problem here, the patches were well done and carefully made to use the minimum material needed. As the day wore on, the supervisor returned to inform me that they believed the job would be completed in one day. We were surprised. I was told to expect the crew to work until dark. Around "quitting time" the supervisor came by and gave me an update. The crew would finish the job, and clean up this evening. I could expect them to work until dark. Again if I had any problems call him immediately. There were no problems. The crew finished the job, cleaned up and let us know they were leaving. The next day the supervisor returned and went over the job with me. Later in the day two members of the crew came by and double checked the clean up. Summary, great job, as promised, no problems. Beautiful new roof in one day. Wow!

I dealt with Steven Poloncic and Wendell Brewton. They and the entire staff at Schwartz are very professional. My house was difficult because of steepness of roof. They did the whole job in 2 days plus small part of next. Cleanup was fantastic! Never saw a nail in my yard. Recommend and will have them do work for me in the future.

I was impressed with the communication before the work began, specifically during the assessment and negotiation stages. During my initial phone contact, the receptionist, Paula, was very kind and thorough. She asked how did I hear about the company. she made the referral to Wendell to come out an assess the roof and provide an estimate. Wendell called be back immediately, the same day or the next day. He scheduled a visit and I advised him that I would not be there. He promised to email me the details of the assessment, which he did in a day or so. the estimate provided material options & costs, quality assurance, pictures, length of time to remove old roof and install new one, which he said would take one (1) day. Once I selected a roof color & option, I was advised that they could begin the work within 5 days; I just needed to pick a day. I then received a very thorough logistical email advising me of the day, time of arrival, crew chief leader, assurance of clean-up and follow-up contact name to complete the financial transaction. The guys arrived between 7 & 7:30 a.m. and worked consistently until the new roof was completely installed around 8:00 p.m. The crew chief, Mark, conversed with me throughout the day to make sure everything was going well. When he left, her referred me to the person who was second in command. They cleaned up thoroughly. they sent me a completion package within a 5 business days that consisted of a nice "thank you" card signed personally by all involved in my project, an evaluation form, invoice (30 days for payment) and warranty certificate. I am very pleased with the level of professionalism of L.E.Schwartz & Son.

It couldn't have gone better! I called for a quote and the lady who answered the call was friendly and professional. She scheduled an inspection within 3 or 4 days. The man who came for the inspection (Wendall Brewton) was a few minutes late but he called and let me know that he was running late. He inspected both homes and gave me a quote within within 4 days. One home needed special work so it took a couple of days to get that quote but it only took 2 days to get the quote on one of the homes. While working on the quotes, he kept me informed via email. Meanwhile, I had another company working on quotes as well. The other company came in with a quote a few days after I got the Schwartz quote; and the Schwartz quote was slightly higher (less than $500 difference for both houses). I went with Schwartz for several reasons: the other company had mentioned putting it on my insurance as "wind damage" and it was not damaged due to wind. My roof was nearly 20 years old and it was time for a new roof. I did not trust a company that would cheat an insurance company. Wouldn't he cheat me as well? Also, I thought Mr. Brewton was more professional. The quote from the other company did not include as much work on the damaged home. The Schwartz quote included building 2 "crickets" whereas the other quote only had one "cricket" listed. Finally, by electing the Golden Pledge Warranty at Schwartz, I got a 25 year workmanship warranty and lifetime warranty on the shingles. I believe I made the right decision. My neighbor was using the other company and they sent word that they were very unhappy with that company. It took several weeks to get their roof done and they have a smaller house and less complicated roof. Both of my roofs were finished within 5 days! It rained on one of the days and the roof on my nephew's house stated leaking. A Schwartz crew came out immediately (I believe it was even on a Saturday) and immediately fixed the leak. They had not finished that roof yet and the leak actually came from an area on the house where they hadn't started yet. After repairing the leak, the supervisor on the project (Steve) called me and informed me on what had caused the leak. He even apologized for the inconvenience. In short, I have never been more pleased with any company that I have used. I would recommend this company without any reservations!

The Schwartz rep. quote we got to replace our original 3 tab shingles with 3 tab shingles MATCHED the insurance allowance we received 2 days LATER , so we knew the quoted price was fair. The Schwartz rep. also described in detail several upgrades we could make to our original roof and specified the price for each. This was the most straight forward, understandable and reasonable of four quotes we received - it was also the lowest. Three different Warranty levels were offered that were matched to the upgrades we selected. It was all understandable and reasonably priced. We choose the highest level of upgrades and Warranty - "Golden Pledge". It wound up being about $3000 more than just replacing our roof to the minimum spec. (to match the insurance allowance). This was VERY reasonable. One quote we had from a supposedly reputable roofer was double this price for the exact same roof and warranty level. Schwartz was very attentive to our start date needs and coordinated with us when weather forced a delay of two days. The crew showed up on time and you could tell by their actions that they were experienced and had worked as a team before. They followed many obvious safety practices and made short work of removing the old roof, removing two power roof vents and replacing some rotted decking (all within the original price). They draped our landscape in vinyl sheeting to protect our plants. During the roofing process they were fast and efficient. They worked as a team that was a delight to watch. Our job was finished on time in a professional manner AS PROMISED. Clean up was also well done. They noticed a "popped" spot in our vinyl siding and a loose shutter fixed both without comment. There was a supervisor on the job site almost the whole time. He left to get materials and to attend to other matters from time to time, but was there for each stage of the job. When not at the job he was available on the phone (but never needed). I really cannot say enough GOOD things about our roofing experience with L.E. Schwartz. We are very pleased with the job from quote to finish. You owe it to yourself to at least get a quote from L. E. Schwartz. I think you will be very pleased and you will learn a lot about the roofing process just talking with the rep.

Removed old shingles and replaced. Took care to protect shrubs around the house and did a super clean up. Very pleased with the work and price and quality of materials. Highly recommended!

Our roof started leaking & we contacted 3 roofers in our area. We decided to go with Schwartz & have never regretted it. They came out, inspected our old roof, gave us an estimate & explained how they would go about replacing the roof and repairing some areas of the underlying plywood. They did an excellent job! They did exactly what they said they would do for the exact price quoted.

Provided high quality roofing with very good prep work done before laying down new shingles. All employees were very professional and courteous. Definitely came through with everything that they said they would and went the extra mile to please the customer!

Thorough inspection. Careful timing of repair with weather. Unused materials stacked neatly for my future use and placed under cover.

Wendel who gave me the quote was very professional and always responded to my calls. The cost of the roofs was double the other estimates, however I went with schwartz because I had such bad experience in the past with these roofs and wanted a good company which they have the reputation of. With the cost and the reputation of the company, I had high expectations. It took six weeks to complete the job, granted we did have unusually large amounts of rain. They did not keep in contact to let me know when they would be returning to complete the job, unless I called. They left material on the job so long that there are large rust staines on the roof from the material as well as a six by six area in my yard where the grass died from the trash being left there so long. I recently called to have them come and caulk some seams that I noticed had not been caulked and to inquire about the negatively draining drain. They did response with in a timely manner and Joe did seem very knoweledgeable and did assure me that I should not have any problems with the drain, but would need to periodically clean it out.

Very responsive company. Great workmanship, professional, & thorough construction. We decided to go with the Golden Guarantee; just for piece of mind. Good product & guarantee for the price.

The experience went very well. From the detailed quote, which was exactly as billed to the follow-up when we had questions. Not to mention that the quality of the roof seems to be great as prior areas of roof leaking has been dry every since. We are very pleased with Schwartz and have already referred them to 3 other friends that are either in need of a roof or will need one within the year.

It went okay. Because of what he said, I'm not going to get the roof done now but I might in the future. He gave me 3 different ways that I could do it. The price was between $8,000 to $11,000. He gave me 3 levels and explained what each one meant. He said I could do it now or in 1, 2 or 3 years. He was very nice. He took pictures and a video. I left a message and he called me back the next day. We set up an appointment and he came when he said. I was glad that I didn't have to do it right this minute.

The price was a little high but still reasonable and it was great. He's very friendly and honest.

We felt that the quote came back pretty quick and it was a fair quote.

The company is so easy to deal with from the initial phone contact to the actual roofers. They did everything they said would. The crew cleaned up after themselves to the point that you would never have know they had been here if you didn't see new roofing. Their prices were a little higher than other companies in the area, but it was worth not having to worry about the kind of work they would do. If you need a new roof call Wendell, he is the best. They even sent us a fruit basket after the job was finished.
