Description of Work: I had water damage from a faulty water heater. They removed all the wet insulation leaving a mess that I had to nag them to get fixed. They took care of the moisture problem in pretty good time. When it was time to replace the damages to the interior, the sales rep became overbearing & rude. The majority of job was 600ft2 of prefinished hardwood & it took 14 months, plus a call to their corporate office in Atl, to get it completed. I was hounded the entire time for complete payment for all services, even those that they never even sent a contractor to do & those that were not done to code. During one payment discussion, the job foreman was hostile because I wanted to take their "profit & overhead" that applied to the parts that they never did off of the balance. They called to deliver materials with little or no notice & then showed up hours after the appointed time. The whole experience was a nightmare. The boards in my floor are now cracking after just a few months. This was present at punch out but they blamed my children, except now the same cracks are appearing under very large area rugs. There is not even a remote chance this is related to my children or pets. I know I should report this but there is not much hope they will fix it since I no longer owe them money so I guess I will live with it or fix it at my own expense. I was taken advantage of by this company.

 + 1 moreThey were very undependable, would say they would be here at 8:00 - 8:30 and show up about 10 or 11, took several weeks to do a job that should have taken a week. It was during the holidays, but still should have been completed more quickly. Shower turned out nicely when it was all said and done, price was cheaper than other quotes I received. May possibly use again not sure due to punctuality/dependability problems.
Description of Work: They did bathroom remodel after a leak. Previously had marble slab insert in shower, had it redone with tile.

 + 1 moreParker Young is a good outfit and, by and large, you will be pleased with their work. I was only unhappy because -- toward the end of the job the workers started getting in a hurry and cutting corners. For example, when painting rooms, they promised me that they would be careful and cover everything with a drop cloth and use the blue painter's tape to cover things that were not supposed to be painted -- they did not. They just wanted to finish up at the end of the last day. The drywall work they did was excellent, though.
Description of Work: Repaired drywall in house and repainted several rooms after we re-plumbed our house.

 + 1 moreThey were very competent and they did things on time as promised. They were not inexpensive but their work reflected that. I would use them again in a heartbeat. The insurance paid $7,000 and I paid $3,000 for some upgrades.
Description of Work: They did some work because there was some flood damage in the kitchen. I had water damage from a flooded water line from a refrigerator. They replaced/restored new flooring and did all upgrades. They repaired any cabinet work that was needed. It was basically restoration work and they did the cleanup.

 + -1 moreCompany representatives were very nice, professional and easy to work with. My initial call was answered by an actual person instead of an answering machine. They took all the details of my project & had I was called back by the office in my area within 15 minutes of my initial call. This company was also on the preferred list for my insurance company & I received a longer warranty period for the work. The estimator came to look at the damage to my house within two days of my call & explained all of the work that would need to be done as well as the approximate time that the work would take. I was contacted by the project manager assigned to me the next day to schedule a time they could start work. They moved everything out of the closet & garage and put everything back when the work was done. My garage was cleaner & better organized at the end of the project than before they started. The work on both areas was completed within 2 1/2 days to include painting & cleanup. I am very happy with the work done & will be using Parker Young Construction for future projects.

 + 2 moreIt went very well. They responded the next day after our phone call. The work was completed in under a week and the results were fantastic. They were very professional, courteous, friendly.
Description of Work: Roof repair was done on the exterior due to a fallen tree. They also repaired the water damage to the interior ceiling and repainted the trim in the ceiling tray of the room.

 + -1 moreI originally hired a different company, after they ruined my real wood floor, Parker Young not only fixed all the water damage but my ruined floor as well......they even went to court with me over the floor that was ruined! they are a fantastic company!
Description of Work: Had a major water leak...my insurance suggested Parker Young...they rock! excellent customer service, quick work, I can't speak more highly of a company than Parker Young! Professional and friendly! If you have a disaster....these are the people you want!
