These folks are awesome! Replaced our garage door springs several years ago. This week, the opener quit and they came and fixed it in about 30 minutes. Great value! Great service! Great people!

One of the steel pull cables of my garage door had frayed and gotten jammed on one side during opening, causing the door to open unevenly and several panels to bend and buckle before I could shut off the opener. Overhead door folks came out the day I called to assess what was needed for repair. The particular model I had was discontinued so an exact replacement was not available. They had one in stock that was similar, and quoted the price to replace just the broken panels as well as replacing the whole door. The difference in price was very small so we opted to replace the entire door. We set up a day for them to come back and do the repair. They arrived on time and were very friendly and professional. The old door was gone and the new one was up in very short order. It's been working great for the past year. We are very pleased and would definitely use them again :)

My garage door failed to open all the way one morning, which precluded my wife from making a brunch appointment. Found this company favorably rated on Angie's List. Gave a call around noon, outlined the problem and were told that they would send someone out to fix the problem. So, within 2 hours, Mike arrived. He quickly diagnosed the problem and the solution. There are two springs on my door, one of them was broken. Mike said it would cost me $165 to replace one spring, but since the other spring was as old as the broken one, it would be wise to replace both. I asked what that would cost and he said $195. Well, it didn't take long for me to realize the bargain being offered. So, Mike quickly and professionally replaced both and I ended up with a repaired garage door. Very satisfied.

They did show up later than was promised, but once he got there he got to work straight away and was finished within about 30 minutes. He did a good job and left things as they were when he arrived. I would use them again.

My garage door would not open or close. I called the morning it happened to see if they could come out and check on the door and see if it was the opener or the door that was the issue. The gentlemen that answered the phone was very professional. They sent a technician out and he arrived at the time I was given. He was courtesy and professional and had my door repaired in no time. Wonderful job would use them again in a heartbeat.

They came to initially check the garage door as it was binding. They determined the wrong springs had been installed. They said it would be better to replace that old system with the torsion system. It would be safer and give us less trouble They gave me a quote and a time they would be back, they didn't have the proper setup on their truck. The arrived when they said they would and performed the replacement in no time at all.l Now the garage door is quite and no longer binds. Very friendly and professional. The actual price was a little higher than the quote do to the brackets being almost cut through with the old cables. It wasn't much and within reason. From the looks of the brackets the whole thing would have come flying off within another week of use - well worth the few extra bucks to get it done right. We've had had no issues with the garage door since. I waited to write this review as I wanted to see if their work was going to last; it has and continues to perform like the first day they installed the new torsion system.

One of the cables had become disconnected and some of the wheels came off the track. The representative fixed everything and replaced the batteries in our remote. Well worth it!

It went very well, I was not able to open the garage door and now it is functioning perfectly.

I needed the torsion spring replaced ASAP since I had no way to open the garage door. I called them at 8:30 am, explained to them the situation, they were sympathetic with the fact that I couldn't get to work, and by 9:30 they were working on the door. I cannot say enough positive things about this company, from the guy who answered the phone and reassured me that they would shuffle schedules around to solve my problem, to the two nice and very competent men who did the repair. A+

Initially my garage door torsion spring broke, which as I am finding out is a common occurance. Being that I have worked on airplanes for the better part of the past 26 years I decided I could change the spring myself despite the different warnings I'd recieved from many people (my wife at the top of that list) not to change it myself because it was and quot;too dangerousand quot; . Well, I did change the spring and had little difficulty doing so, although I do see the inherent danger with that task. Just as I thought I was about to finish is when the trouble begun. Both of my door cable scame off the drums and despite my best efforts I could not get them to stay on the drums anymore. That was last night just before midnight. This morning I called Overhead Door of Macon at a few minutes past 8 a.m. I told the gentleman I spoke with that I was at work and could leave to meet a technician but would require a 15-20 minute notice. He said they would try and get someone to my house todya, but if not then certainly tomorrow. At 1:10 this afternoon I spoke with Adam (technician) and met him at my house about 30 minutes later. In just about an hour Adam and his partner (didn't catch his name) had my door back in business and sounding, looking, and running better than before! I will say this, I am EXTREMELY skeptical of nearly all service providers on the market today no matter what the service is they are (attempting to) providing. However, from the time he arrived until the time he left, Adam (and his nameless partner!) were extremely courteous, helpful, informative, and PROFESSIONAL. I actually spoke with a friend of mine very shortly after Overhead Door had left and was telling him about the entire experience. The last thing I told (my friend) was and quot;I am extremely satisfied and would have absolutely no problem recommending Overhead Door of Macon to anyone I know of that needs that type serviceand quot;. Bottom line, if more companies were to emulate Overhead Door of Macon and technicians like Adam, I don't think our economy would be in the sad shape it is in. Great technicians, GREAT company!! I thought my door was a total loss and would have to be replaced. Mike from Overhead Doors in Macon, GA came out and repaired it for $85. I was so impressed with his honesty that I had him come back out the next day and install a new opener. I am very pleased with the service I got from them and would recommend them to anyone needing garage door services.

I had a very pleasant experience, from calling to request service, to the technician who was efficient and knowledgeable, to the bill that was very fair.

These folks are first-class. They tell you what they are going to do, then do it when they say they will, for the price they quoted. This is not the first time I have used Macon Overhead Door. Every time has been the same high quality work. Called them on Tuesday and service technician was at my house within two hours. They needed to order a part, and said they would come back on Thursday at 10:30am. They called to confirm, and showed up at 10:30. Completed the job quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. (Best my garage has looked in months). They quoted me a flat-rate price for the work on the initial phone call, and that was the price...no hidden costs. Every service company should operate like this!

The spring had broken on our garage door the night before. In the morning I called Overhead Door of Macon and was told that someone could be at my house within a couple of hours. Since I was at work I asked if they could call me when they were in route to my house so I could meet them there. No problem! A little while later, I received a call from Mike saying he was on his way. I left work and met him at my house. He knew exactly what we needed and he had the part with him. It only took him about 30 minutes to fix it and he even managed to make the system quieter than it had EVER been!! So, so happy with the whole experience! I would HIGHLY recommend them.

The job went great, I asked when they arrived it we should replace both springs since they were 10 years old. The suggestion was yes, but they never tried to sell us on anything. I am not sure what all they did, but the the door has never been as quiet as it is now, even when it was new!!! Awesome Job...

First let me begin by saying that I had called numerous companies for about six months to get estimates so I have some experience. Finally I turned to Angie's List and I'm glad that I did. I read a review on Angie's list and decided to give them a call. The reviewer was absolutely correct. THE OVERHEAD DOOR COMPANY OF MACON is a great company. When I called them one afternoon they (David Walton) came out the next morning to give me an estimate. I agreed on the price and the gate opener was installed a few days later. Not only did they do a beautiful job installing the gate opener but they (David and Scott) actually picked up the empty boxes and swept the dirveway. I mention this because we have had several workers at our home doing a variety of jobs and most people do not clean up after themselves. They were punctual, professional and courteous. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!!! I highly recommend this company.
