Harden Construction

I hired Harden Construction / HARDEN ROOFING LLC to replace my roof and install all new sheathing underneath August 02, 2020. We paid $6,250.00 and there is no outstanding balance. He did a negligent job. It has started leaking in several places, shingles are falling off, there are large leaks into the house and now my ceilings need to be replaced and possibly installation and wood replacement in the attic. My contract says I have a warranty with the company on craftsmanship for two years and a 35-year warranty on materials. I contacted him six months ago and explained the issues I am having. He said he would take care of it during the initial phone call; however, I have attempted to contacted him several times since only to be hung up on or ignored. He will not respond to my repeated attempts to contact him by phone, email, nor social media. This company is trying to avoid responsibility for poor work. I am currently seeking to file a lawsuit for Deceptive Trade Practices Act violations and also to make a claim against Harden Construction / HARDEN ROOFING LLC for breach of contract, negligence, and breach of warranty and whether I may be able to collect money from a state contractor recovery fund consisting of contractor licensing fees, or from a bond the contractor posted at the start of your project, which is required in some states. I have contacted several other local roofers to receive repair estimates and every single one has told me it will cost more to fix this companies mess then replace it entirely.

Terrible. The 2 day job took 3 weeks to complete and the new roof leaks in 4 areas where the old roof only leaked at 1 edge. Steve Harden rarely came at the days or times he stated, and only worked 2-3 hours before leaving without any notice. He will not come back to complete the repairs, although he was paid in full when he said the job was complete.
