Description of Work: They worked with our insurance company. We had a lot of damage done throughout the area, but we did not have leaks in the house, so it took them about 4 months before they could get us. They put on a roof and got the job done quick and efficiently. We have only had the roof done for a month and it looks beautiful so far. They were also very sensitive, due to a tragedy that we had a couple days before.

Description of Work: Replaced my shingles/roofing and in the process damaged my air condition line while putting the roofing on with air nailing guns, several nails were nailed into my low pressure line loosing all my freon. This occurred the first day of the job, also two window screens were damaged. The owner (Richard Crosby) came out because of my conservation during a phone call I had from his estimator (Lee). I advised Lee no foreman came out on the job during the roofing repair process. Needless to say I was disappointed. It was hard to communicate with the crew leader who spoke very little english. When Richard arrived I told him of my complaints, two damage window screens he tool with him to repair, also advised Richard I had lost air the first day the job was started, he advised he would take care of the damage if his crew was responsible, he called a friend who owned a Air & Heating Company to come out and check my system. It was concluded a couple day later by the Tech of the Air & Heating Company it was the fault of Crosby Roofing. There were nail holes in my low pressure line in the attic of my home. I had spoke with Richard less than an hour to get directions to his office to pay my bill for the roofing job. Un-be-knowing to me the Tech was at my home replacing the valve and during a leak check to fine out it the system still wouldn't hold pressure. After I arrived home the Tech needed to go up in the attic to do farther checking/testing and that when he discovered the holes in the low pressure line. The Tech called Richard/His Boss to advised of his findings the holes in the line. I called Richard direct several times with no response. I placed a stop payment on the bill, contacted my attorney who send the company a letter of intent with no response to this day. It's been over 38-days since the incident with no response from Crosby to me personally. | I would not use him again. I feel I have been taken advantage of being new to the area for only 2-1/2 yrs.

Description of Work: Crosby Showed up when they were supposed to. The reachable gutters were cleaned but another team was supposed to come later to attend to the higher soft gutters and we were never sure if they took care of the soft areas. I paid them but still not sure if the job is done. Nice work men, very polite. No one returned our calls to affirm the 'part two' of the gutter cleaning was completed.

+ 0 moreI contacted Crosby Roofing on the recommendation of a neighbor who had recently had his roof replaced by them. Mr. Crosby came out and inspected our roof and recommended that I contact my insurance company as there were signs of hail damage from a recent storm. The insurance company agreed and Mr. Crosby quoted me a very reasonable price , contract was signed and work scheduled for the following week.Everything went as scheduled from the delivery of the shingles to the arrival of the installers. The crew leader was very courteous and explained the process and gave me an estimated time of finish. They went right to work and completed the job the same day as promised. The crew did a great clean up job and were very thorough in picking up loose nails. Mr. Crosby came out to walk the job with me to be sure I was satisfied. The roof looks great and we have not had any problems with it. I would recommend Crosby Roofing to anyone and will call them again if I am in need of a roofing contractor.
Description of Work: Roof replacement- removed and hauled away old shingles. Replaced damaged decking , installed new eave drip, roof vents and shingles. Final clean up of my yard and quality inspection.

+ -1 moreMr Crosby was very professional, courteous an friendly during the assessment. I did have to wait for several weeks before they were available. They began at noon and had to come back the next day to finish up. The new roof looks great. I've not had any problems, but I'm sure Mr Crosby would promptly return if necessary.

Description of Work: Crosby did an ok job on our roof. They didn't replace some of the rotten wood as promised under the shingles. They left off the flashing around our chimney. We tried for two years to get them to come back. Three times they made appts to come back but never showed. We finally had another contractor fix the problems. The work they did do was good. That is the only reason I didn't give them an F.

Description of Work: They removed the old shingles and replaced any bad wood on the underneath. The chimney was plaster and they painted that with a matching paint color. They cleaned up all nails and debri around the house and hauled it off after the job was complete.

I wasted all that time because my roof is still under warrantee, and I was hoping that the problem was still covered. I understood that the damage to my roof was an "act of God" as a result of our last tornado. I was OK with that and asked him for an estimate. He was very courteous and supplied a reasonable estimate for the repairs I needed and he agreed to do the work - that was more than a month ago! He has not answered any of my calls or e-mails. I will not be following up with this unprofessional individual.

+ -1 moreI called the company to have someone check out a minor leak in a rental property. Roofer called to schedule and then rescheduled for the next day which was no problem. He gave me an estimate to replace 3 vent pipes and I contacted him that afternoon (31 May) to give him the green light to replace them. I called and left a message on 11 June to find out if the work had been done and had no return call. I texted the roofer on 19 June and asked if he was going to get the job done and he said that they could do the work the beginning of the next week (week of 23 June). I never received a call back that the work was done and there was miscommunication on where the bill should be sent so I was left to believe the work had not been done. After leaving a review on Angie's List, Mr. Crosby called me right away to rectify the situation and I discovered the work had been done on 25 June after receiving a call from the office staff. I was happy to have a resolution to the problem and happy to hear the repair had occurred. I was also happy that Mr. Crosby cared to solve the problem right away after he found out what problems I was having.

Description of Work: Crosby Roofing did an excellent job replacing our roof, they were punctual and worked with us and our insurance company in replacing our roof damaged by hail. Our cost was approximately $2000 the remainder was paid by our insurance company. The total job was around $11,500. + -1 moreDuring my contact with Mr. Crosby when I requested he repair the defect he became very unpleasant and insisted the problem was my fault. Other roofers I contacted who inspected the roof indicated the problem was without a doubt an installation problem. I have subsequently had the roof repaired at a minimum cost. I could not recommend Richard Crosby or Crosby Roofing Co. under any circumstances for any work. The written warranty provided by Crosby Roofing and Seamless Gutters at 2972 Castlewood Dr. Macon, Ga. is absolutely worthless.
Description of Work: At the recommendation of the insurance adjuster we contracted with Crosby Roofing to replace the roof on our home in April 2009 at a cost of $15,700. A significant installation defect became apparent at the first sign of cold weather. I contacted Mr Crosby 12 times over the last 2 years to request repair of the roof. He visited our home twice and told me "the problem was my fault" and refused to repair it.

Description of Work: I have a roof leak in my den that was “previously repaired” but is still leaking. I used them in the past (2 years ago) and they were so bad I did not pay them and they only sent me one bill. They dropped off two young teenagers to repair a leak in my garage who had no clue what they were doing. The next time it rained the water came right through.

+ 1 moreThe overall experience was wonderful. I have my home and a rental property and have dealt with some sorry companies in the past but Crosby is by far one of the best I have dealt with. When they left on the first day the yard looked like they had never been there. The second day they cleaned so good you could not tell anyone was doing any work. The quality and attention to detail was outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone.

We called several roofers to get estimates and in the meantime, the man from Crosby called my husband to say that they would replace our roof for what the insurance company would pay, if we would let them do the work. He got my husband to agree without talking with me, then called the house to schedule the start time. My husband and I discuss major decisions regarding financial expenditures and projects on houses, cars, etc. The fact that this company used high pressure tactics lost them our business and assured that I would share my unpleasant experience with anyone who asks my opinion of this company.
Description of Work: Crosby Roofing @ 478-743-1444, 478-328-9999 or 478-741-4988 came out with the insurance adjuster after a hail storm and went up on our roof to "assess" the damage and give us their estimate on replacement of our roof. At the end of the assessment of our roof, the man from Crosby wanted to put their sign in our yard before we even agreed to have them do the work on our roof.

+ 0 moreI needed a straight 33' run of gutter, one downspout, & gutter/leaf guards installed. I called around & priced doing the job myself. Most companies gave me $1k plus estimates! On the suggestion of my neighbor who had has Crosby install his gutters, I gave them a call & left a message explaining what I wanted. The next day I promptly got a call back from the company & he quoted me a very reasonable $450 installed. I verbally agreed & they were out to install them within 4 days. The work they did was excellent, looks great & is a great product. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Installed one 33' straight section of seemless aluminum white gutters, gutter guards & one downspout.

+ -1 moreCalled two weeks prior to company visit to have missing shingle replaced on roof. On the appointment date, I had to call them to ask if they were still coming as they were over one hour late. They didn't want to come out & wanted to reschedule because "his father was coming to visit later that day". They finally agreed to come after I said I'd call someone else. Owner arrived, full of excuses, and looked at roof from the ground. Gave me an estimate of $9,300 to replace roof even though I said I simply wanted the one shingle replaced. He told me to call my insurance company and see if they'd cover the roof replacement. He said he couldn't replace the shingle as he didn't have a ladder with him. We talked about the upcoming weather forecast of rain over the next few days and I said that I had a ladder. He wasn't going to replace the one shingle and he never followed up later.
Description of Work: Roofer was supposed to replace one shingle. Instead, he provided an estimate for a new roof that wasn't needed.
