I hired Wallis Landscaping to do weekly lawn maintenance. During the initial visit the landscaper pointed out that he could add pinestraw to the front landscape bed to make it look nice, he also pointed out an area on the side of the house where grass didn't grow that could used some pinestraw as well. I agree to have the pinestraw put down in those two places. In the backyard up against my fence where trees. He pointed out that he could edge those nicely and place pinestraw around them to make them look nice. Again I agreed. We didn't discuss putting pinestraw anywhere else! When he came to put it down , I came out just as he was finishing up (so I thought) and he had pinestraw all throughout the front yard. It caught me off guard because we only agree to two areas in the front and he had it everyone HE deemed necessary. I didn't make a fuss because it was already down. I left went back in the house and a day or two later I noticed the back yard had pinestraw everywhere. I texted him immediately and asked that he do not put down any more pinestraw. I told him that we never discussed putting pinestraw all over the yard the way he did now I am stuck with picking it up. Later I received a fat bill for all the pinestraw I didn't APPROVE. My frustration was the hard time I had getting the bill reduced to a fair price. I wasn't even trying to get out of paying it I just wanted it reduced to something appropriate. When I said to someone that I never agreed to have him put pinestraw everywhere so why must I pay their response was "he put the pine straw in the places that were needed". Seriously? I know they have all A reviews but they didn't not bring their A game to my house . I have picked up most of it but attached are some pics where it still remains .

Wallis Landscape did an excellent job with everything they did. From meeting Brian for the original estimate to completion of the job I was 100% satisfied with everything. Brian was a pleasure to work with. It was refreshing to do business with a company that did what they said they were going to do for the price they quoted.

I had major water pooling in my back yard. The yard had become a mud marshland. Three to four years ago, I had installed a French drain with a neighbor landscaper. The French drain never worked and I had spent $3-4000.. I feared I was going to have foundation problems since the water was pooling close to my house. My son-in-law suggested that I hire a real landscaper who deals with drainage issue to repair the water problem. Bryan came to give an estimate for my project as scheduled, the first time. The same day as the estimate he drew up a couple of different plan options. He took his time explained things to me, and he even spoke to my son-in-law and repeated the same information to him. I did not feel that he was rushing to get through the information and I did not feel that he was rushing me into making a decision. After scheduling a start date, we rescheduled dates twice, one time due to a conflict in my schedule and the second time, Bryan called and told me he would be starting Wednesday instead of Monday. The call was made well in advance, so I did not feel I was being thrown off any schedule.. Mr. Wallis and his crew came out, early in morning and stayed late into the evening. Things I liked most about Mr. Wallis is his work ethics. He gets out there with his guys (about 7-8 of them). He gets dirty and puts the sweat in, just like his employees. I really respect that type of work values. Plus, it makes me feel like he takes an interest in what he is doing. How much I LOVE the end results, I can't express it enough. We had a heavy rain this evening and there was no more rain pooling in my backyard. I would and will hire Wallis Landscaping again.

Quick response to quote request. Quote performed quickly and without need to meet onsite. Due to potential freezing rain moving into the area - kept me updated on the status of the work date/time. On date that work was to be completed, owner arrived promptly and was very courteous. Walked the property to discuss the scope of work and explained how the work would be completed. Crew arrived as I left for work. Upon returning home at the end of the work day, I almost didn't recognize my property. Everything discussed with the owner was completed and I can once again feel good about my yard! I will be calling Wallis Landscaping again soon on my next project - removal of English Ivy :(

Fantastic! The wall is exactly what I wanted. They took care to make sure no damage was done to my plants and yard. They were punctual and professional. There was a supervisor on site at all times. I will definitely use them again. The only downside was the price but that was mostly sticker-shock. I did enough research to realize that's what retaining walls cost and that the price was fair.

This is the second time we have used them. They put sod in our back yard 2 years ago and it is doing beautifully. This year's job was removing a tree, planting sod and putting in a new island. During the quoting process, they were very prompt. They always do what they promise -- whether its to come by for a quote or when they are actually coming to do the work. They arrived on time and with a crew of men to take care of the job. All were very nice and we could tell they all like working for Wallis. One of the men helped to put in our sod 2 years ago. We highly recommend Wallis Landscape.

We met with Bryan Wallis in May and had our retaining wall replaced in August. He wasn't the cheapest bid and wasn't the most expensive either. We liked the way he explained everything he was going to do. On our scheduled day he was onsite with a full crew. They worked hard, were professional, and did a fantastic job. As for payment, we paid each day the team was onsite. The job took three days but they weren't consecutive days due to heavy rains. Before and after photos of this project are on the Wallis Landscape Facebook page, dated August 24., 2015. We are very pleased with the work and will definitely contact Bryan for future projects.

I have been working with Wallis Landscape & Maintenance since February 2015. They have been an invaluable partner, terra-forming my yard and creating curb appeal for my new home. Their communication and promptness has been exceptional. Brian really cares about helping customers achieve their desired goal while exercising great attention to detail, great recommendations and creating magnificent visualizations. I wanted options for my new home landscaping; Brian expediently created and presented three different proposals that would give curb appeal and add value to my home. He meticulously explained each proposal then made a great recommendation. The staff members are effective and responsive when coordinating schedules for the work. They addressed and resolved immediately all my concerns with no push back, fighting nor haggling. Since completion my home value has grown by more than 20 % in less than 6 months!! I can honestly say my home is "magazine perfect" in it's curb appeal. The company seems to be very strong financially and has an excellent reputation for timely completion of its work. Needless to say, I consider the Wallis Landscape & Maintenance one of our my most valuable partners. So it is with no hesitancy whatsoever I am recommending that you consider Wallis Landscape & Maintenance for your next project.

They did quite a bit of work including a little patio in the back and stuff. It turned out pretty good.

They do excellent work and their pricing is fair. Main thing was that they knew what to do about the drainage problem. I had several people out here to tell me about the pricing and how they are going to solve the drainage problem. But nobody gave me any details or a correct price. But he told me how he would do it and how it would work and he gave me a quick price to do it.

I have a low area in the back yard where the ground had sunk about 2-3 feet. There was also a dry stack block wall behind my shed which was built by the previous owner but was starting to fall apart. Brian came out and inspected the two areas and made some suggestions on how to regrade the area to control the erosion. On build day, he showed up with his crew and all the materials necessary for the job. For the area behind the shed, they build a low wall, about 18 inches, and laid landscape fabric and river rock around the shed area. In the back yard, they compacted the low area in the yard and installed a large fire pit surrounded with large river rock. A half-circle retaining wall was built on the right side of the fire pit. I think they did an excellent job on both areas and I am very happy with the work that was done.

Calling in to set up the first appointment was easy with Nicole setting things up to work around my work schedule. Estimate process with Eric went very smoothly and was detailed. Discussion of options and focused on what outcome I was looking for and how I planned to use the space. Work team was on time everyday of the three day project. Friendly, professional and cleaned up the work area each day. Explained the process as they went along and asked for decisions as needed. The first day we realized a change that was discussed on the phone required more work/materials than planned. Bryan figured out how to make it work within the existing budget which I really appreciated. Even though he had a project lead (Marco) on site the entire time, Bryan (the owner) was on site every day more than once and often working with the crew. There was only one small tweak to make with the steps leading from the retaining wall into the wooded area and that was completed in a timely manner. The entire project exceeded expectations and all the neighbors and family who have stopped by cannot believe the difference it makes in the usability and attractiveness of the yard. I would not hesitate to call on them again and in fact am already planning the next project!

Overall, we're satisfied. Pretty basic service that they're providing. They probably could do a better job of weeding, but everything else is very well done.

They arrived on the day scheduled and almost on time. When they got here, the first thing they did was put down boards over my llawn so the dump truck wouldn't tear up the grass in my yord. Then they loaded a VERY large debris pile and cleaned up the area very nicely. Bryan cut the top out of the Leland cypress tree to take some weight off the tree and with the help of two of his other employees was able to stand the tree back up and stake it. The crepe myrtle was wrajpped with a chain and hooked to the dump truck which easily pulled it from the ground.Great job on all three projects and very reasonably priced.

He did it right. He came through and followed up whenever we asked. He was a johnny-on-the-spot provider.

The back yard is beautiful. Bryan knew just what should be cut, removed, filled in -- I didn't. He also knew what would be appropriate for the slope of the yard, created a variety of textures to ground cover, while bearing in mind the level of design that is appropriate for the neighborhood-- nothing fancy or fussy, but very good looking. I knew I needed to trust the landscaper I would choose for the project, because I have no sense of design or proportion or appropriateness. Wallis was one of four companies I contacted. I knew from the way Bryan explained, and even anticipated my concerns that Wallis would be my choice. When I received the estimates and descriptions from the other companies I saw they didn't "get" what I was asking for. Even more: their plans were less descriptive and extensive, yet those plans cost more.

First of all, we were very late in trying to get our sod done before winter. When we made the call, they were out to measure and give a quote the very next day. Their pricing was in line and we were definitely impressed with their customer service. We changed our minds a couple of times -- from fescue to soysia -- and the office was very helpful and patient as we made our decision. On the day of installation, they arrived exactly when they said they would. They called the day before to confirm the timing. During the install, my husband was very impressed with the way they prepared the soil and the attitude of the entire crew. The owner and our initial contact also came to assist and make sure things went to plan. We would highly recommend them.

My experience was great. I received a return phone call within minutes of contacting the office and had an appointment for an estimate that same day. Eric was able to find all of the plants I needed and made some suggestions for alternate plants that were less expensive in some cases. The job was scheduled that day to be done in 3 weeks. I called during that time period to make some changes, which were implemented. A large crew arrived right on time and completed all work in about 4-5 hours. The plants were all very healthy and are thriving now. Everyone was very pleasant and professional. I would definitely utilize their services again.

Very satisfied with the entire process in dealing with Wallis Landscape & Maintenance Co.. All scheduled task were completed on time and on budget, new tree is beautiful and customer service during and after the process was of the highest quality.
