Description of Work: Dean is very easy to work with and he is meticulous. He has so many skills which makes it easy to adapt/change things on the job if desired. I am a designer and have worked with Dean on several projects and have always enjoyed working with his company.

+ 9 moreDean Bires is a both a true professional and a genuinely nice guy. He supervised most of the work personally nearly every single day, absolutely always arrived when promised, and really cares about getting every detail just right to achieve a final result of impeccable quality. He kept in very close communication and could always be reached quickly for questions. The care that he takes to protect carpeting and furniture is very impressive, and daily clean-up thorough. The estimated time of 6 weeks turned into 8-9 by the time all of the fine finish work was done, but each of several very small delays seemed very understandable. The $24,000 figure is what was actually paid directly to Bires Remodeling for planning, labor, miscellaneous basic/rough materials, and overall supervision of the project. Major fine materials such as cabinets, countertop, shower doors, tile, fixtures, etc. and also the fees of a designer (whom he recommends) were extra and raised the total cost to about $50,000.
Description of Work: Gut bathroom completely, including drywall, trim, and one window as well as tile floor, cabinets, countertop/sinks, mirrors, shower and tub, and fixtures (wall, light and plumbing). Reconstruct walls, ceiling and trim, install new, smaller but better window, and paint all. Install new, better tile floor (including marble inlay), cabinets, marble countertop, undermounted sinks, mirrors (with trim to match cabinets), and wall, plumbing and light fixtures, including chandelier, sconces, and lighted makeup mirror as well as overhead can lights. Replace shower with larger shower, including seamless tempered-glass shower doors/walls, tiled floor, corner seat, decorative tile borders/moldings, large grab bar and three built-in basket fixtures on wall. In most of former tub footprint area, install extra cabinets and small cushioned seating area instead. Install new, better exhaust fan, with intakes both over shower and in toilet area, and vented through roof instead of into attic.

+ -1 moreThis is the second project Bires Remodeling has done for me. The honesty, good communication and trust worthiness of Mr. Bires and his contractors made the entire project a complete success.
Description of Work: Took totally gutted 1/2 bath and created a full bath with shower and no tub using homeowner selected and provided materials. Everything in the bathroom was new from the sheetrock to the paint.
