From first call all the way through to completion of the work, American Crawlspace Solutions was nothing but professional, prompt and kind. I was able to speak with both owners before we started the work and the one owner, John, was there every step of the process. They were on time the day of the basement drain work, worked efficiently and finished quickly making it such an easy process. John answered any question I had and never once try to convince me of any extra work that was truly not needed. In fact, he was honest that our sump pump might need to be replaced soon but didn't try to talk me into getting it done right then and there since it was still working. It, a few months later, did in fact need to be replaced and we then confidently had them do the sump pump replacement work. Since then we have sold the home the work was done on but I will definitely call them if in need of ANY crawlspace work in our new home. And I will recommend them to anyone inquiring!

They arrived as scheduled and the crew proceeded with the installation. I have been in the Construction Industry for 25 years, and seen my share of good and bad. My installation was seemless. Work was performed as expected, on time and at quoted price. Initially called to see if they could come out to give us a quote. After discussing our issue they provided a quote over the phone. They called the week prior to our appointment to confirm and then again the morning of the appointment. They explained the process and cost prior to starting work. Performed all work and cleaned up the area. Great customer service and professionalism.

Jeremy, John and their team were fantastic from start to finish on our job. They were responsive, honest, professional, courteous, knowledgable and altogether a pleasure to work with. We had issues with water seeping into our partially finished basement during periods of heavy rain and saturated ground. The guys from ACS were able to design and install a comprehensive solution for our particular situation and we are very happy with their work. This company gets my highest recommendation.

I called the Monday after Christmas. On Christmas Eve my garage flooded from the heavy rain. When I called the number listed I was redirected to his partner. He said that I would receive a call from him. I didn't so I had to call back. Once I had a conversation with the partner I describe my problem. My garage is partially underground and water is coming through the wall. I asked for him to check it out. He immediately told me that it sounds like I need a French Drain around the perimeter of my home and there is no warranty. I told him that I am fine with that and we scheduled an appointment for the following week. Two days later, on a rainy day, I received a call from them stating that they don't perform the work that I need. That sounds like they just don't want my business. Before I called them, I read numerous reviews. Many of them in relation to my exact problem. I was ready for work to be done out of emergency sake and they didn't want my business.

We found the carpet was wet in two places in our finished basement just after the November storms that dumped 10 inches of rain on us. I tried two "better-known" foundation companies and was told the earliest they could even come by to diagnose the problem was mid-December. Fearing the worst, I turned to Angie's List! I used Angie's List to identify great-rated local companies and called American Crawlspace Solutions: 60+ reviews - all "A's". I called the number listed and John Harman answered .... what a God-send he was. He gave me the name and number for a company that you would usually call for larger water-damage issues. At John's direction, I asked if the technician could bring an infra-red camera to aid in identifying where the water was accessing my basement. By 1pm that day, I knew the exact locations of the leaks, and had removed the dry wall to perform a visual inspection (per John's instructions). John was on site in the next couple of days and determined the most effective way to address the issue. He returned on the agreed-to scheduled date and performed the work exactly as he had described. Most interesting was his response when I tried to pay for the work: "We don't accept payment until the weather acts up again and we are certain the cracks have been sealed." Today, Christmas Eve, we're under a flash flood warning until mid-night and the basement is as dry as a bone. I hope I don't have to call American Crawlspace Solutions again, but if I have a need to I won't hesitate to call knowing how professional this company is.

Awesome. Called me three times before the service date just to verify, and re verify appointment and then to tell me he was on his way. Punctual! Had me worried for a while because he took so long to a**** the problem but he developed a plan of action, explained my options as he saw it and let me decide how or if to proceed. Immediately signed off on one of the options and the work was performed backed up by a guarantee I feel they would honor. Fortunately for me, the repair has been perfect to date - even with our torrential wet weather that caused the problem to begin with. Awesome job by true professionals. Will definitely hire again for a future project. Was even kind enough to give me some very thoughtful water proof pointers / considerations on another project I am starting this summer.

John went above and beyond to give help us find out what our problem was. And, even after he realized our problem was not something he serviced, he pointed us in the right direction so that we could our foundation issues addressed. It is honest service providers like John, that give us faith that our 1906 bungalow is worth all the headaches it is causing. THANK YOU JOHN!!!

I selected American Crawlspace Solutions based on their excellent ratings on this site and others. I also liked that they were a smaller, local company based out of Locust Grove in Henry County. John, one of the co-owners, came out to provide the estimate and returned at the agreed upon date and time to complete the work. I have some background and knowledge regarding waterproofing and techniques for drying crawlspaces/basements and found John to be extremely knowledgeable. He provided a detailed plan of action including the costs for utilizing different material thickness. The project itself went very smoothly. The two man crew, John and his helper, showed up on time and immediately got to work putting down carpet protection. The workmanship in the crawlspace looked very good with no apparent shortcuts or missed areas. They covered the dirt/sand "floor" of the crawlspace, sealed the walls, columns and air vents. The air quality inside our home has improved significantly. The musty smells that came through the heat/air ducts has gone away. We are very satisfied with the work completed by American Crawlspace Solutions.

It went excellent. Jeremy was honest, sincere and answered all the questions I had regarding the work. He never used high pressure sales tactics and just let me make my own decision. I got quotes from 2 other companies who tried to sell me what I didn't really need at twice the cost as American Crawlspace Solutions. Jeremy and the crew came at the exact time they said they would and did a great job! I highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed!

Jeremy was great to work with. He came out within a day of our initial contact to give us an estimate. The estimate was well documented and he was one of the most knowledgable people that we found. We contacted a few others afterwards, but nobody could really beat what he had to offer for us. After getting an idea of prices, and talking to another provider who would do the same work for a little less money, and he gladly matched the other quote. Overall, we were very satisfied with the work performed by him and his crew.

John came out within a couple days of the initial call and was very helpful. He gave me an initial estimate to dehumidify and insulate that was in line or cheaper than the other companies quotes but still more than I was willing to pay (for a crawl space). He worked with me to get the project down to a manageable cost and scope. Other companies would not even look at the smaller job, but American Crawl Space did it without hesitation and they did a great job. Very fast and professional. Very pleased with the work.

We recently purchased a home that has a relatively small crawlspace. We wanted to use the crawlspace for storage, but it was a little too dirty, dark, and damp for my wife, so we contacted American Crawlspace to investigate our options. Jeremy, one of the owners, quickly responded, came out, and gave recommendations on what could be done. He recommended encapsulation and explained it's benefits, costs, and options for materials used. We accepted the offer and a week later three of their employees came to our house and completed the job in about 3 hours. The employees were friendly and professional. I think they did a great job and we can now use the crawlspace easily and comfortably for storage. In addition the humidity level in the adjoining basement has improved. A week after the encapsulation work, John, the co-owner, came out to inspect the job and make sure it was up to code and satisfactory to us. The owners, John and Jeremy, were both very professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I highly recommend their service.

They said they'd come to my house on Monday, April 27, 2015 and then called later that day saying they weren't going to make it. So we rescheduled for the next day, Tuesday at 9:30am. The guy called me 30 minutes before he was supposed to show up at 9:03am saying there was too much traffic and he wasn't going to make it. So we rescheduled again for the following Thursday when he/they didn't show up or even call. What a waste of time.

I first called two of the big players in this area. One came out, talked more than he listened, and did not do a thorough job researching the issue. He already knew the problem, which came with a $5,000 price tag and involved a jack hammer drilling a hole in our basement floor and installing a pump. That was the least expensive alternative to fix what he was sure the problem - the other option was almost $20,000. The other big company made a big deal of both owners being at the home for two hours when their tech came. We rearranged our work schedules to accommodate this request only to have them call and cancel the day before because they just realized they don't service our area. I asked if they serviced our area when I set up the appointment and at the time they did. I called American Crawlspace Solutions who returned my call right away and had a tech out that day. He listened, researched the issue and told me what he was almost certain was the problem. Rather than fixing it right then though, he wanted to be sure and gave me instructions of what to watch for at the next heavy rain. I did this and he was exactly correct. He came back out and in less than an hour had the leak sealed up for $475. We've had two heavy rains since the repair and NO water has come in! Jeremy was professional, honest, and neat in his work. We would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I had been wanting to do this project for a while, and so I made a number of calls and got four quotes from crawlspace solution companies (large companies and small). Jeremy came out promptly and gave me a very knowledgable diagnosis of my problems and the best price of all the quotes. Furthermore, he was willing to work within my budget so that I could do some of the prep work and then his team could do the main installation and encapsulation. He did not try to upsell or do more than what was needed, and I deeply appreciated his clear explanations and experience. Since the encapsulation, the crawlspace feels and smells great! The mildew odor in our 1979 home has greatly reduced, and I expect it only to continue to improve now that the moisture and humidity issues (and that big patch of dirt floor) have been dealt with! We had standing water in our small crawl space that was causing mold and mildew in the house. It was especially bad during a hard rain, so we called in the pros. I chose American Crawlspace Solutions because of the great reviews they received on Angie's List. I am apprehensive about using contractors I'm not familiar with, but boy was I pleasantly surprised with this company! Not only was their estimate a few hundred dollars less than another company, I was really impressed by their customer service and professionalism. From my initial conversation with the project manager, John, everything was handled great: his friendliness, the estimate (which he emailed and the price didn't increase afterwards) as well as the online invoicing and payment options. On the day of the install, John and his crew showed up in big Dually trucks with professional-looking tools and equipment. After a few hours of work, they had the sump pump and French drain installed and then cleaned up after themselves neatly. Now, there is no more water in the basement and they even threw in a water alarm -- free of charge -- to alert us in case the system failed! Since this system has been in place less than a week now, I will wait until a heavy rain and update this review if we see any more water or flooding.

Each time John was exceptionally professional. He provided a very reasonable bid and was up front about the pros and cons of each approach. I actually did not end up using his company either time, because I ended up choosing an approach that his company did not do, but John gave me the best information to make my decision, and he didn't try to slant the information to convince me to use his company. The first time, I ended up deciding to cover a dirt crawlspace with concrete (which John's company doesn't do) rather than the less expensive option and more common option of vapor barrier (which John's company does do). The second time, I had a question about basement wall insulation, and John advised me that spray foam insulation would be a good option, even though this isn't something his company does. Again, he went out of his way to give me honest advice when he didn't need to.
