3/9/2013 - Most recent update After someone else cleaned the tile yesterday, I have to change this score to an F. Seeing it clean now, it is painfully clear that Jeff made no effort whatsoever to clean the tile. A woman with clorox did a better job and charged a lot less. The black areas that he told me were permanently stained are now white. The deal I purchased here was a complete waste of money. 3/2013 - Update December 2012 - Scheduled about a week in advance. Jeff just said, "First thing Tuesday morning." There was no confirmation call to arrange a time. I began watching for Jeff between 8am and 9am. At 9:15, I called and learned he had called me at 7am. Because I didn't answer, he went to another home. January 2013 - Jeff called 15 minutes after the appointment time to say his truck was in the shop. Would have appreciated a call the previous day, as I had rearranged my morning for his visit. He said he would call back to reschedule. March 2013 - Jeff finally called to reschedule. This time he called the night before to confirm and provide a time frame. He said that the Angie's List deal covers 300 sq. ft. of tile, but he charges $25 to move his "equipment" to an additional room. When he arrived, one of the first things he said was that he could make the carpet look great. I explained that I was not interested in carpet cleaning that day, but I did want some pricing. I also stated that I only wanted spot cleaning to avoid saturating the carpet. He kept pushing the carpet cleaning - suggesting I do the high traffic area in the living room. I said the only area I would consider would be the bathroom, and I only wanted spot treatments. Later, he asked again if I wanted him to "mix enough for the living room," and I said, "No." Upon inspection of the bathroom tile, he said he would not do the sealing because of the age of the grout. He spent about 5 - 10 minutes with a paint brush slapping some liquid on the tile in two bathrooms. He started bringing in equipment from his truck, and I thought this was the tile "equipment" and the reason for the $25 additional charge. Then a strong perfume began filling the house. I realized that he was shampooing the carpet in the bathroom. When he returned to the living area, I said that I had not agreed to have the carpet shampooed and that he hadn't even provided an estimate - which was all I had requested. I asked how long the carpet would be wet. He said that depended on the air flow. I became very upset and said that was why I didn't want the carpets done in the winter. There's no ventilation, and it's too cold to open the windows. It was an additional inconvenience because I couldn't return the litter boxes while the carpet was wet. The bathroom carpet is about 5 ft by 6 ft. He asked for $20 for the carpet cleaning, and he added another $25 that I still don't understand. He spent about 10 minutes on the tile, and he did not seal the grout, which was included in the deal Not only did he not discount the $89 original cost, he ADDED $25 for carrying a bucket and paintbrush from one bathroom to another. Ultimately, he charged $70 on top of the original $89 coupon. This definitely was no deal, and I feel ripped off. The worst part is that the tile "cleaning" didn't even remove the basic soap scum and superficial film. The carpet was saturated. I had to leave for work. When I returned that evening, I placed a space heater in the bathroom overnight. It was well over 24 hours for the area to dry. One of the stains was missed completely. Jeff is very polite, but his communication skills need improvement. It means the difference between repeat business and dissatisfied one-time customers. ------------------------------------- 12/2012 (original notes) - I have spoken with Jeff a few times and have found him to be very responsive and courteous. I am upset to see reviews to the contrary and think they are more of a reflection of the individual writing the review than of the business. I had to reschedule my appointment, but I will update this with more detail following the service.

The only comment I will make is that there were a lot of costs that were not mentioned in the Angie deal. If the quality of work wasn't great, I would be complaining about the price.

He is very dishonest, I called him based on his reviews. I texted him pictures of my carpet per request. I didn't receive a return phone call or response for that. His secretary later called to set up an appointment. When he came out my husband was at home as I was at work, and he said it would be $12 extra per room. He said he had discussed this with me though he had not. He said I was lying and I knew of the up-charge. He left without doing the work and now I'm getting a refund through Angie's List.

Jeff arrived right when he said he would and everything went very smoothly...he clearly knows what he's doing :)

They did not return my phone calls, therefore I chose to cancel. I would have appreciated them calling me back.

Very professional and puntucal. Knowledgeable about his work. Provided a very clear description of his work and did an excellent job. Our carpets and furniture look great after the cleaning! I will use him again.

Carpet was heavily stained. Our old dog towards the end lost control and peed frequently. Now our old cat ( still kicking) forgets where the litter box is. Plus current dog and cats are bringing in mud and dropping fur constantly. So it was a big job. The carpets look great and the sofas are dirt and cat hair free. Overall happy with the experience. Jeff explained the need for the extra treatments and he was right.

They were unresponsive and never followed through on promises to call back. They had too many prerequisites to do the job. They even asked me to fax or email pictures of the rooms that need to be cleaned.

I was in contact with him three times, once on the phone, texting, and email. He was rude when I spoke with him on Thursday morning. He said he was in the hospital but was being discharged that day. I have not heard anything since then. He told me to text pictures of the carpet, but I was not comfortable doing this, so I emailed them to him. I have hear nothing, an no longer want to deal with him.

Jeff did a most impressive professional job on the tile and grout on sofa. He's friendly, concerned and very professional.

Jeff Jones is honest, upfront, and does a high quality job from start to finish.

He became very agitated with me because I could not send him a photo of what I wanted done because I do not have a camera phone, and he sounded very belligerent.

They continued to call me many times. I wasn’t able to schedule the work with them when I needed it done.

He had to come back again and again. I eventually just left it. I would not recommend them or use them again. When he first did the service I thought it was wonderful, but as it dried I could see spots. It took a whole lot to get his schedule and my schedule together. It still wasn’t as good as it should have been. I also had a Groupon which he did not honor it when I thought that he would.

It went very well. There was a strong after smell in the house for a few days. I was hoping for less chemicals used but the service itself was really good

I originally purchased a Groupon for A Atlanta Rug Scrubber's to clean 7 rooms in our home. We have cream color carpet throughout much of our home. The carpet is approximately 14 years old, and was so dirty and nasty that I had planned to replace it with hard wood flooring and throw rugs. However, while we investigated the best flooring options and waited for the new flooring to be installed, I thought that I would at least have it cleaned one last time primarily to not feel like we lived in a pig's den. (We had had other highly recommended carpet cleaning professionals out to work on the carpets before to see if they could be salvaged, but they would inevitably leave us with large stains and carbon markings still glaringly obvious.) My experience with A Atlanta Rug Scrubber has been significantly better than any other carpet cleaning service group that we have hired! To start, I needed to change the date and time for the cleaning several times, and the one man shop was amazingly accomodating!! Each time I changed the appointment, he would patiently work to meet my scheduling needs. Finally, the day arrived for him to clean our carpet. We had changed our minds about cleaning the whole house. We thought that it would take him the better part of the day just to clean the family room and stairs. And if that were mostly clean, we would be thrilled. In other words, based on previous ?top notch? carpet cleaning services, we had LOW expectations. I?m thrilled to report?HE WORKED MIRACLES!! Our carpet looks like it did the day we bought it!!!! He was so incredible, we quickly scrambled to have him do every floor in the house: tile and carpet! The black carbon streaks are GONE! The old dog stains: GONE! In marveling at his handy work, I asked, how did you do that? His reply explained it all. He grew up working with his grandfather, who was the head of Service Pro for the area, several decades ago. He loves doing what he does. And, he felt so passionate about getting it right that he invented a tool that would work on stains more effectively. Having created that tool, he can tackle the hard stains and win. I could not be more pleased with A Atlanta Rug Scrubber?s professionalism and attention to the details! Jeff Jones is an incredibly skilled carpet, apolestry and tile cleaner. And, with that said, I was even more pleased about the bill. He charged me significantly less that any of the previous carpet professionals that had worked in our home. This man is on my list of top notch professionals! I would highly recommend him to anyone! I can guarantee you that he is permanently on our speed dial for home maintenance!
