Love it! I bought my house almost 12 years ago and the biggest thing I wanted to do was a kitchen remodel - unfortunately the new roof, AC, etc. was higher priority but I finally got my renovation and couldn't be happier! Of course, I had to add some practical projects too - replacing some of the exterior work that was rotting after 20 years! Dennis and I met to discuss and he was able to start the project sooner than anticipated. Dennis is a firm believer in getting the experts advice, so we met with the flooring expert to pick out the laminate and discuss options - we decided to install over the existing ceramic tile which was great - less time, mess and expense! First project - stripping wallpaper and prepping the walls! This became a chore since I have vaulted ceilings and there was a double border (yes, I papered over the previous border when I bought the house!) Penni and I met while she was stripping the paper and sanding the walls - Penni would prep walls and paint, cabinets, and install the hardware. She was fantastic! Dennis wanted me to pick the color but after meeting Penni and describing what I wanted, I left it in her expert hands - she didn't let me down! She actually gave me advise on the exterior color as well - she doesn't even know that I followed her advice! I never met the painters for the kitchen - but Dennis called me to make sure I wanted the color - and to verify I had seen it and ready to paint! I like BRIGHT! Great job and Dennis saw areas for improvement that I didn't! Dennis sent me to over to see the piece of granite that I would be getting to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and then the install - what a difference! Sink and plumbing completed in a short time and love the change! Floor install was next - ran into a slight glitch because of installing over the tile and the height of my range - but there was a solution before I even got to my house to discuss it with Dennis! My only thing would be to look at more of the selection - although I love my floor - it was a shock when I walked in and saw it - but then there was no furniture etc. but now I love it and wouldn't change it! I actually get more compliments on the floor! Penni finished the cabinets - I even asked for a roll top desk/ hutch be painted! All good in the end but had my doubts as if the roll top would function after being painted - it does just took a time or two to get it moving again! Tile backsplash was next - I had picked a border tile that was discontinued and was afraid I wouldn't have enough - but they made it work and you'd never know it unless I showed you that he used the other time to fill in the 1 inch of tile that was needed! Light fixtures installed and the kitchen project was completed! On to the exterior! Dennis recommend items with PVC to reduce the replacement for rotting wood! Always cautious to tell me the cost difference in my choices and additions. All through the project Dennis was very accommodating to my 'extras'! Change the location of the garbage disposal, add another light fixture, add the bay roof window paint job. I picked Dennis because he reminded me of a good friend that is a contractor in middle Georgia - and he didn't let me down as he focused on quality and details of the job! In the end, I think he even liked my Tibetan Orange walls! I would use Dennis again for any remodel projects - he coordinate the work and took the stress and worry away!

He indicated as a general contractor. He needed more information from his sub and he wasn't able to give me a direct quote without gathering additional information.

Dennis Delashmit came to our home and gave us a quote on remodeling our master bath. Regrettably, we had to put our project on hold and thus have not had an opportunity to work with Dennis.

Everything went smoothly and the bathrooms turned out beautifully. Dennis is great and very easy to work with. The team he has put together really works hard to get the job done right, on time and within budget. We gave him a key to the house and were very comfortable doing so. Dennis has a lot of integrity and we cannot say enough good things about him. He is also wonderful about keeping you informed throughout the process. His communication skills are outstanding. He returns calls immediately if you have to leave the rare voicemail message, and he is just an all around honest guy. We hired him based on the Angie's List comments, and we are glad we did. We needed to update our bathrooms in order to put the house on the market for sale. I have no doubt that the work Dennis and his crew did helped get our home under contract within five days of putting it on the market. We would enthusiastically recommend him to others.

We found Dennis Delashmit of Professional Home Improvement through Angie?s List and liked what we read about him, so we contacted him for help with our kitchen makeover. We had used a ?designer? from one of the big box home improvement stores, but had not really gotten any design help. We also weren?t sure if we wanted a kitchen makeover or remodel. (We wanted more cabinet space, but didn?t know if we should merely add more cabinets and refinish the old cabinets or buy all new cabinets.) Dennis immediately realized that we needed a designer, so he set up an appointment with a designer he recommended who helped us to design a more functional kitchen, which meant new cabinets at not much more cost than refinishing the old cabinets. From that day forward, we worked our plan and eventually came up with a contract that included everything we could think of from new cabinets to painting and tiling to moving the refrigerator. Dennis was great to work with. He understood that we were not early birds since we worked odd hours, so he and his subcontractors were NOT at our home at 7 AM every single day. Also, Dennis was patient when we thought we found mold under the old cabinets and had to wait for mold test results. Dennis?s subcontractors were great to work with; they were polite and cleaned up after themselves. Each of them worked with us to help us make decisions. For instance, the electrician helped us decide what type of lights to put where; the plumber gave us advice on how to keep the kitchen faucet clean; and the tile installer helped us decide the design of our backsplash. In addition, Dennis was always very responsive. For example, when we thought we had a gas leak after the range was installed, he came back over that evening to double check. We like Dennis so much that we will be hiring him to help us make over our bathrooms.

We were pleased with the quality of the finished project. Dennis was very professional keeping his word and ensuring that the project was completed according to schedule. There were no surprises in terms of the budget. His ability to organize the project and ensure that his staff completed various tasks on time was impressive. All debris and leftover materials were picked up at the completion of the project leaving behind a clean basement.

We were extremely pleased with the work Dennis did for us. He began and finished the job when he said he would. He was excellent in communicating with us each and every step along the way. We both work, but felt very comfortable with him in our home. He kept the area extremely clean. We appreciated his professional advice along the way since we had never done a remodel of this kind. He had very good ideas for our bathrooms that we had not thought of previously. We would highly recommend him to others.

We loved working with Dennis and his team! Our completed master bathroom exceeded our expectations. Dennis took the time to provide a very detailed cost estimate after initially evaluating our master bathroom. Because he provided such an in-depth estimate, there were never any ?surprises? when it came to costs, and we came in on budget. If there were ever any variances from the budget, he immediately contacted us for approval, as well as gave us suggestions on how to remain cost effective. He knew not only our budget, but our needs and made sure to find suppliers who would satisfy both. His legwork and research throughout the project was greatly appreciated and kept our stress level to a minimum. I stayed at home during the day with a toddler and always felt 100% comfortable with every member of his crew. They were all very friendly, polite, and helpful. I always felt in the loop with everything because Dennis worked at the house, stopped by to check in, or called me every day with updates. I was always aware of the status of the project, including any delays or changes of schedule. The project was completed on time as promised. I highly recommend working with Dennis as we plan to use him for future house projects!

Dennis was one of three companies to give us an estimate for repairs and his estimate was the lowest. Once we chose him to do the work and set a date, he began work promptly. We were on a rather tight deadline due to out of town company coming. The workers Dennis sent in were professional, prompt, courteous and careful not to mess up the rest of the house. At the start, we were only going to tile the shower and the floor, but with Dennis's reasonable pricing, we decided to do additional work after he got started. At each point where we added something to the work order, Dennis made sure he did a full work estimate to let us know the pricing changes so that we always knew where we stood, even as things changed. He was also very realistic about the change in time frames as we added items to the work order as well. Our bathroom came out much better than we had imagined it could on our budget and the time frame was reasonable for the work. We are very pleased with the outcome of the project. Dennis is very professional and easy to work with. We did have some problems come up (none of his making) and he was very good at explaining what the issues were and what our options were as well. He is not the type of company that does the fancy computer imaging presentations of what he can do, instead he is down to earth and straightforward. I will hire him again if we choose to do any additional remodeling.

He was on time, very professional, removed the rotten wood and cleaned up when the job was completed.

I called Dennis for an estimate after finding him on Angie's list. He scheduled me for a visit and gave me an estimate very promptly. The estimate was within what we discussed as my budget, and he even talked to me about ways that I could keep it down. I sat on the estimate for a few months, mostly because I didn't have a window where I could just give up my kitchen and not lose my mind. Then, probably six or eight months later I contacted him. My ideas had evolved slightly and so he took the time to do another in-home consultation and estimate for me. I was able to show him all of the changes in my ideas and talk to him about how I wanted things to go. What was awesome about working with Dennis was that he completely respected the fact that I was coming to the table with a design that I was really excited about and committed to. I never felt like he was pressuring me to change my mind about anything--unless it just wasn't physically possible. He was also really, really amazing about understanding my budget limitations and working within them. There were a few unexpected and unforseen bumps along the way (like when the plumber said that we had to build an entire exterior wall out 3 inches to meet code), and he worked really hard to make sure that they would add as little as possible to the bottom line. It was amazing, and really not something that contractors are known for doing. All of the people that worked with Dennis were extremely kind and courteous. They all seemed to get along well and did their jobs quickly and with skill. I was impressed by everyone. He has a great network of folks who he works with, and it is clear that they enjoy working for him. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying working with Dennis. He's extremely kind, patient, and honest. He was flexible and willing to listen to all of my unconventional ideas with a commitment to making them happen if at all possible. I can't say enough good things about Dennis. He's the kind of person you want to have behind whatever changes you are making to your home. He's just wonderful. Who says that about their contractor?

I told him I needed the work done relatively soon within a month. He emailed me a couple days later and said that he decided to not put a bid in because he couldn't start the work in time.

Professional Home Improvement's Dennis Delashmit was, as the company name states, very professional, courteous, reasonable and punctual. His workers were the same and did a very good job of minimizing dust and debris as they worked. I was very impressed with the overall quality of the work and accuracy of his estimate.

The quality of the workmanship was top notch. They were easy to work with. They provided great suggestions.

Dennis has been great to work with. His estimate was extremely detailed and comprehensive, including materials. His price was half the price of another company’s estimate. He’s been extremely attentive. He’s always responded to my phone calls, and he knows his business very well. I’ll be going with him for this project!

Bidding process was good, Dennis assisted us in determining the best way to meet our objectives. Completed on time.

I explained the nature of the job over the phone. We talked and we discussed. He was a general contractor and he didn’t do the work himself. It was a small job. He was honest and it was wonderful. He said that it was not in his ballpark. The guy was personable. He referred me to another guy. My experience with them was pretty good. You can’t ask for more.

Dennis responded to my email for a quote right away and his scheduling proved flexible right from the beginning. He came on a Saturday morning to give us an estimate and sent the final quote that evening. We made a few changes and had a signed contract four days later. The work began two weeks later as scheduled. We were thankful to find him willing to take our relatively small job for siding repair and replacement. Many companies won't even consider a small job such as that. As the work progressed we found additional repairs that would be beneficial to the overall condition of the home exterior. Dennis pointed out the additional repairs and issued an updated quote with the additions. Originally the quote mentioned two days for the work to be completed but the job ended up requiring five days. Dennis was very easy to coordinate the scheduling with. He is a very meticulous carpenter and he takes the necessary time to do the detailed work which makes the finished project look wonderful. The replaced siding and trim match the original color and blend in perfectly. Dennis was easy to reach, by phone or email, and always returned messages promptly. We were very impressed with his manner and professional approach. We will recommend him to anyone we know who is considering any type of home improvement or repairs. We will definitely call him for any future projects we have.

PHI did an outstanding job. Their estimate was several thousand dollars lower than others we received. The project was completed within the time frame we needed, the cost was slightly less than the estimated price and the bathroom is beautiful. Dennis was very patient with our questions, responsive to our phone calls and worked around our scheduling constraints. He recommended several places for us to visit to choose our tile and granite countertops. The individuals at these locations were very helpful and we were able to find beautiful selections within the allotted price for each. The tile work is outstanding. I have already recommended Dennis to several of our friends.

, I called Dennis on a Friday to come out and give me an estimate on replacing/repairing falling ceiling drywall in my garage. I also had a lot of neglected outside jobs that had to be done. The siding needed to be caulked, I had some rotting soffit and trim, a A/Ccondensate drip line had to be moved, and I had three large windows that are part of the vaulted living room that had old flaking trim and were leaking into the house. Dennis came out on Saturday and gave me an estimate that was cheaper than an earlier estimate, but he was also much more professional. He showed up exactly when he said he would, took measurements and made notes as we walked around the house. He sent me an estimate by email the next day. I sent him a confirmation to do all the work. He told me he was currently working on another project and would get to me as soon as that project was over. It took him five working days to complete all the work, and everyday he and his workers left, all the work areas were cleaned (as much as possible with drywall dust). All the work was done to my satisfaction and the final bill was exactly the estimate price. There was no money up front. Only after I signed off on the work. It was a very painless experience. I would definitely recommend Dennis.

The quote amount was about $6400. It took him a while to get me the quote. I left several messages and he didn’t get back to me soon. He was on time for the first appointment.

Dennis is very professional and knowledgeable. I received received several quotes for a bathroom remodel and his quote was the lowest by a significant amount. He was quick to respond to any questions I had. The work was done in a timely manner and with very good quality. I was very happy with the price, quality and overall process. I would definitely use Dennis again for future home remodeling projects.

We contacted PhI by email to give us an estimate for the replacement of glass in 15 fogged windows. Dennis Delashmit made the appointment with us and showed up on time. He seemed unsure as to what he was giving the estimate for so I explained the job. He got very quiet and only gave cursory measurements to our window glass and then told me to expect the estimate the following week. I never heard from him again and he did not answer my emails. This is very poor customer service. If he didn't want the job he should have said so. If I had run my business this way I'd have gone broke!

Started out low budget, changed to make remodel be more appealing to potential buyer, went for the granite counter tops and more costly cabinets that go all the way to ceiling.
