I obtained an estimate because my neighbor (whose condo unit was the source of the water leak) recommended him because they were friends. After several requests to schedule a time for the estimate, and after he dropped by a couple of times without finding out if my schedule allowed, we were finally able to schedule a visit with about 1 hour's notice. During the visit, Jeff kept talking about taking care of his friend. It was my home that was damaged, not his friend's, but that seemed to barely be on his radar. The estimate he provided was about half of the 4 others I had obtained, all of which were within about $200 of each other. I don't know if this was because his friend had agreed to pick up the cost and he was cutting a deal, or if it meant he would be using inferior materials or poor workmanship. I opted not to find out and had someone else complete the work.

I purchased a Big Deal for Handyman Services from Perry Construction earlier this year and it expired in August. I reached out to Perry Construction numerous times to attempt to schedule an appointment for the service prior to the expiration date. They were non-responsive. The one time they did call, they asked me to send a list of the repairs I'd like to have done at my home. That list was sent to them at least 3 times only for them to say they never received it. I would NOT use this company for any future services and would NOT recommend this company to anyone else. Angie's list finally issued a credit for my initial Big Deal purchase since I never had the opportunity to redeem it with Perry Construction. Thanks Anige's List for standing behind your service.

We had a great experience with Jeff the first time, but he proved to be unreliable when we attempted to use him again. At the end of the appointment, I asked about having him back to install a door. He took measurements and said he would call me early the next week with the quote for the door. When I didn't hear from him, I emailed and asked about the quote. He said he was out of town and would get back to me when he returned. Early the next week, when he was supposed to be back in town, I emailed him a request concerning a fence, and I asked about the door. I never heard anything back. I inquired again and heard nothing. I hope by posting this review, I will discourage Jeff from treating other customers this way. Directness saves people both time, money, and inconvenience. All in all, we wasted more than two weeks trying to pin him down, which put the job off longer while we found someone else to do the work, and that delay cost us money in potential rental income.

Two men were sent to finish the 25' span installing hardy plank under the newly constructed roof eaves. The two seemed to spend a great deal of talking. At the end of the job, the corners of the eaves did not meet and looked poorly measured.

I believe he is great at all that he does. He knows much about many things and he has all the qualifications to perform any work you need.

Inside pipes whistled through sink and shower. I replaced pressure regulator (single chamber), installed water hammer arrester. Pipes hummed, turned outside sprinklers on to drain air-would not turn off without shutting off water supply.

He was willing to listen to some of my ideas and to incorporate them into what I wanted to do and how it would work in terms of the construction. It was a minor construction job but a big deal nonetheless - it was $79 for two hours of work. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

We had them fix a bathroom faucet and vanity that had not been installed properly by the previous owners of our house. The project was a bit bigger than we originally thought, but he stayed until it was finished, and we haven't had any issues with it since.

We've been looking for a good handyman for our rental house. I have terrible tendonitis and can't do much these days. Angie's list sent out a special....two hours of handyman services for 60 dollars, so we decided to try it out. Jeff showed up, installed the fan, fixed the ceiling access panel, and added some knobs to the vanity cabinets. He might have been able to do more in that time, but the ceiling fan had some issues (the box was loose). He's getting a price for us on a new front door now. We'll be using him again!

Overall, I am happy with Jeff's work and professionalism. He is willing to listen to my thoughts and ideas and tries to incorporate them as best as structurally sound. The first words out of his mouth are NOT "That can't be done". He is willing to think outside of the box. I am anxiously awaiting for the shelves to go in and, for once, have the room to put clothes away where they belong. : - ) The only drawback, and I find this is the case with any contractor, is there are multiple jobs being juggled, so scheduling can be an issue.

We connected with Jeff through one of Angie's List "Big Deal" offers for a handyman for two hours at a reduced price. He was terrific in every way. Highly professional. On time. Calling and emailing to confirm appointment times. Checking out the various small jobs on an initial visit and then making sure he had right replacements and equipment when he came to do the work. Good attention to detail and wanted to make sure the job was done well. After completing the work we talked about some other larger projects that we want to give attention to. I've been wanting to connect with a good contractor and I feel comfortable about continuing the working relationship with Jeff.

Perry Construction brings a level of professionalism unmatched in the industry. Jeff is honest, accountable, and clean. He performed even at my expectation and completed all the work in a timely fashion. I would use him again.

Jeff arrived to first do an inspection. After showing him the basement and what needed to be done he asked what my budget was. I told him we didn't have much and to do what he could. Jeff right away came up with several excellent options and made the decision very easy. Within a couple days the shower was installed and the entire bathroom looked 100% better. What I liked most about Jeff was his ability to quickly improvise on unexpected problems that would come up and still get the same result!
