Perfection Roofing & Siding

My experience with this company was excellent. I worked with Russell to get an estimate and he encouraged me to get other estimates, as well. He was able to give me the best price. While the winter weather delayed the start of the work, Russ contacted me to keep me informed so that I never felt ignored or forgotten. The men that completed the work were punctual, courteous, and meticulous. They answered all of my questions without making me feel stupid. The work is “perfection.” Once the work began, they worked around the weather to get the job completed as quickly as possible. I was encouraged to inspect the work during the process. All the debris was removed when the work was finished. After years of living with deteriorating cedar siding, I love the look of the Hardy Board and it is a relief to know that I won’t have to replace and repaint EVER. My experience with this company has been excellent!

So... that was probably one of the most uncomfortable experiences in my entire life. I'll preface this by saying that I live in Duluth, and am of Taiwanese descent, although I was born and raised in America. Even before meeting Russ, I noticed he talked super fast on the phone and kept on touting how many chimney jobs he does per month, and was going to give me a quote over the phone without even seeing the house. That right there is a red flag to me, even if it meant he would quote a price lower than what he'd actually pay. He's probably done so many jobs at this point that they're all just the same to him, even when they're not (mine wasn't) Then after he came to the house, after he took a glance at the chimney without really giving me the chance to show him where the damage was, he proceeded to question me about my ethnic background. Maybe he just wanted something to talk about, but it's incredibly demeaning, especially when you're trying to talk business. I guess he thought of it because he said he has a Chinese wife, but again, I want to talk business on my time. After that, he wanted me to ride along with him to a job site to see his work. Although I would be wary of riding along with someone you've never met, I understand the reasoning behind taking clients to see the work up close. However, I was already on a time crunch taking time out of my work day to meet him, and the exchange earlier made me even more wary of riding along with him. So I followed him to the job site in my own car. I'm really glad I did. While he was showing me the job site, he kept on ranting on about political correctness that had very overt racist overtones. Some highlights included "I called a Korean guy Chinese, and he got really mad at me! I don't understand!" and "Can you imagine a dinner party with a bunch of those people? It'd be yelling non-stop!". Top it all off with "Maybe I should be more politically correct. I'd get more business that way". Unfortunately for him, I got to see him at his most candid, and it was easily the most uncomfortable experience I've ever had with a person (professional or not) in my whole life. The work at the job site was actually pretty good, and he did quote me the best price on the work out of the contractors I talked to. However, my encounter with him left me never wanting to see or hear from him again, so I'm not giving the work to him. When I do business with my own clients, I want to put my best face forward, and want to establish a good relationship and rapport with them. That doesn't really matter much to this guy. Maybe you're reading this and think I'm being an overly sensitive liberal/millennial/moron/whatever. But if this kind of thing matters to you when you're picking a professional, be wary of Perfection Roofing & Siding.

Russ Morton and his Perfection Crew Chief, Fabio, are excellent. We had had five estimates for exterior remodeling including new siding. Russ was the only one who said, "Instead of telling you all the reasons why you should hire my company, hop in my truck and I'd like you to look at two jobs I did within ten minutes of here...I want you to see and compare for yourself." My wife and I did that and in 20 minutes we'd seen more than we could have learned listening to anyone explain in our front yard. He guided us through two close-up inspections. Russ' work was clealry superior, and after that we could tell the difference even from the street. Russ has exceptional professional knowledge and skills. For example, he advised us on the best ways to add a new front entrance, two windows, and a new back deck, capitalizing on the original construction, which his team then executed beautifully. Russ' Crew Chief, Fabio, was always on time; was fast and smart; and Fabio's crew worked long & hard; they never slacked off. Our job was complex. Fabio and Russ went out of their way to make sure every detail was perfect. Russ' professional bearing inspired our confidence but he's so personable with a great smile and sense of humor that we really like him. We were so pleased with him and his work on our residence that we will ask him to work on our investment property as well. Said it would take two weeks and they had it done in less that a week. Russ stays on top of the project and walked us through every step. Always on time and did a great job. Russ and his crew are very professional. Unlike other places that say they will call you back, Russ and his team were on top of everything! Great Job!

The siding crew and the painting crew were both very friendly and responsive. They came when they said, removed all trash when finished and made sure I was satisfied with the results. Before painting, all the windows were covered with plastic so that paint spray would not get on the glass. The attention to detail was appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend the company to others.

The team at Perfection Roofing & Siding was very professional throughout the job and their work is beautiful! Not only do we highly recommend Perfection Roofing & Siding, we plan to have them come back within the year to replace the siding on the remainder of the house.

It's one thing to tell a prospective client how good your work is. It's another to show them. Robbie Morton, the proprietor's son, took us to three homes. There was a marked difference between Perfection's work and other random homes in each of the neighborhoods. Our project is newly completed, and we're pleased with the outcome. *** Perfection's rates are competitive, possibly coming in lower than their competition. *** We were given a choice of two fiber cement siding products: Hardiplank and Nichia. We went with the Nichia, based on Morton's recommendation and online reviews. (It appears more durable.) *** The workmen were talented and industrious. (If you hire Perfection, ask for John and his team to paint. Besides excellent prep work, John doesn't cut corners and has a good eye for color.) A somewhat minor point, but worth noting: rather than the usual old dumpsters one sees everywhere, Robbie went out of his way to order a "driveway friendly" dumpster on wheels, that left no mark.

Took a while to get started but once it began it went smoothly and the quality of the work was outstanding

Russ and his team did a wonderful job. They were not the absolute cheapest option, but were very competitive on price. We have an approximately 3 story home on the rear of our house and Russ and his team were able to quickly and efficiently remove the existing siding which was original to the home and replace it with high quality cement board siding in the agreed upon amount of time. The finished product looks wonderful and they were able to provide an almost seamless looking finished product.

Russ and his team did a fantastic job. From the moment he came over for the estimate he insisted that he and his crew was the best. Don’t doubt him at all, he is correct! He even took us out to see several of his jobs and several of his competitors jobs. Each and every time he proved his work was superior than the competitors work. Once we settled on pricing, which was very fair and competitive, he began work within a couple weeks. His crew came in and worked very quick and they were very respectful of us and our property. Having had bad experiences in the past with contractors we watch everything. Everything that we ever saw that didn’t look right or needed extra attention was notated by us and we quickly noticed that the crew fixed everything before showing us the final product. We never once asked them to fix or change anything. They did it all on their own and found everything we noted to ourselves. That showed us that they do care and they are paying close attention to detail. You don’t find that often at all in home repair these days. We could not be happier with all of the work done. The crew remove all the old siding replaced it with new siding and painted the entire house. We have already made several recommendations for friends to use Perfection Roofing and Siding. If we ever need any additional work done Russ and his crew would be our first call. A trustworthy, hardworking, attention to detail perfectionist is exactly what you will get with these guys!

Excellent. Did everything as promised. Any items I found (minor stuff, by the way) they took care of immediately. In one case I asked about a drainage issue I had noticed with the particular design of our home, and the worker just went up and made a modification that fixed the problem. This didn't even have anything to do with the siding--I was just asking for advice, but he fixed it anyway.

The contractor and operator, Russ, works differently compare to the other contractors, from beginning to the end. Most of all, he did not eagerly reveal his back ground or profile to acquire the job. He took us near neighbors to show his actual quality works had recently done, instead. “Seeing is believing”, those were not model houses but the finishes looked like new homes. We were not only impressed the sample houses shown but also his quick and accurate estimation skill at a glance without spending hours and hours. The siding crew took down old sidings and fixed all rotten panels before install new sidings in four days so processionally including replacement of all window frames . Their carpentry skills are remarkable. The painting job was also so detail and smoothly done such as power washing, caulking and filling and painting. Furthermore, they only used top brand material and paint. My house, 20 years old, now look likes new home after completion in two weeks. Several my neighbors come by and admired a lot. If you are looking for a reliable exterior contractor, I highly recommend working with Perfection Roofing & Siding. You won’t be disappointed in any manners with this firm including the price.

Ross with Perfection Roofing and Siding came out, one of 6 qoutes I got. His was the best price and the quality of work was unmatched. He came out to our house, gave my wife and I a quick run down of how he works. He then, and I thought this was crazy at first, took me to the neighborhood next over and showed me his work on a couple houses he had done. Mind you, he's from a different part of town, so for him to do it in such close proximity was proof he's been around here a while. Plus, he had me look at former customer's house up close and everything was flawless. The sides were flat, you couldn't see any uneven seem joints, there were no nail holes showing. It was awesome. Everyone else that came to give me a quote just showed me pictures ( of the best angles of there work, mind you) and some were at my house measuring and talking longer than it took Ross to come and show me three other houses he had done. He offered the best price. He wrote out the quote for me right then and there and said call me when you decide. I called him a few days later to get started. My biggest concern was that my wife and I were having a baby in a couple weeks, so Ross said "let me see what I can do" and was able to move my siding up a few weeks to help accommodate us. (Btw, who ever let us jump in front of you, thank you!) His crew was the same one I saw on other reviews on here. Fabio was there with two other guys. They got all the siding off and wrap up on one day, lightning fast. I took pictures of all the sides and concerns and there was some really horrible boards that needed to be replaced. Fabio, the crew leader, came to me and said these were the boards that needed to be replaced and did it. They had all the new siding up in 3-4 days. They work fast and do perfect work. I was impressed. The paint crew came in and pressure washed the house one day, then they caulked the house in two days, and painted the house in another 3-4 days. All in all it was just about 2 weeks from start to finish ( a little bit longer because we had about 3-4 days of rain that slowed everything down). The paint job was awesome, they addressed any of my concerns. The crews were all very friendly and funny. Ross communicated with me every day and step of the way. I was having a kid while we had siding and our house painted, and Ross made it really easy for me. It couldn't have gone any smoother. I can't say enough about Ross and his crew. Ross really does Perfect work and seriously can't imagine another crew doing it any better or for a better deal. I'd highly recommend you get a quote from him, and anyone else, and would guarantee he'll be your best option.

We had our siding done recently by Russ and his teams at Perfection. They did a really good job, and gave us the best price of the 4 companies we got quotes from. We also had them make a small portico on the front of our house to add some character. Everything came out superb. No price changes, or broken promises. Siding looks great, paint looks great and of course...Excellent caulking, and PVC drip cap on every window/door. :) Russ takes great pride in his work, and it shows. I would recommend them, and do business with them again! (I put a B in punctuality, cause no-one is perfect, and the painting took a little longer than I expected, but the results were nonetheless outstanding)

Russ and his team delivered on what was promised - a job completed on time and at the highest level of workmanship. My wife and I often stop at the end of the driveway to look at our house and say to ourselves, "We actually had this done. We made the right choice in contractors," because the high quality workmanship is obvious from the road.

Russ Morton is the owner of the company and was eager to please throughout the project. He was very helpful and easily accessible by phone. The siding crew were very efficient and precise with their installation of the siding. They did an excellent job. Fabio, the team lead for siding, corrected a construction issue discovered around the floating bay window for me at no additional cost. The painting crew also did an excellent job and were conscientious of the quality of their work. I could tell these workers (siding and painters) take pride in their work. Freddie, the team lead for the painting crew, offered to paint other things that I had not thought about such as the top of the bay window area (needed black paint) and the exterior of the back patio doors, at no extra cost. He also purchased a very special and expensive caulk to take care of an issue I had on the back concrete patio and he was able to create a seal underneath the drip edge to keep water out and away from home, which I really appreciate. The workers were nice and cleaned up after themselves, especially upon completion. They informed me when done so I could review the work for approval. The house looks NEW and I get so many compliments from the neighbors. Suggestions for any exterior home project: Decide a place and method for storing materials so that they are protected from weather elements. Discuss contingencies at the beginning with owner so that when things are discovered outside of initial scope, you are better prepared with a plan and have an idea for added cost and it’s not so stressful. Russ really worked with me here and even did things at cost to help me out since this project turned into a much larger one than anticipated. Ask questions such as: What to do if there are damp, rotted OSB boards discovered under siding? What if there’s no housewrap under siding discovered? What if you find existing exclusion metal at edge of home on gutters? Etc. Get photos throughout project, you will be glad you did.

We contacted several contractors, and went with Perfection. Russ was very flexible with regards to the type of material, but after discussing things we went with the Nichiha Fiber Cement. We couldn't be happier with the result. They ended up rebuilding the chimney after they got the siding off, and pretty much repaired everything on the exterior, even the stuff not siding related, no questions asked, no comments, and no upcharges. On the walk-around, both crews (siding and painting) took care of every last detail. It was very obvious that the "repair" is considerably better than the new construction, and the appearance of the home is radically better than before. Highly recommended.

Perfection Roofing and Siding did an excellent job of rebuilding/painting our eaves and replacing the gutters. The work was done at the finalized estimated price with no additional costs. Company owner Russell Morton did an excellent job of communicating with us during each phase of the work. Cleanup was done after each phase. This is the second job we have had done by this company and expect to have more in the future.

We believe Russ's team did a really nice job. The team is works well together and very efficient, taking approx. 4 days for the entire job (3 sides of a townhouse). Russ has a somewhat different sales pitch. Instead of talking details, he wants you to see the attention to detail of his workers. He will show you at least one previous job. Between the first time we talked with Russ, the second to get an updated estimate and his work on a neighbor's house, we were able to see 3 houses. Anyone is going to show you only examples of their good results, but we knew Russ couldn't hide his work at our neighbor's. We saw the same great work there as well.

Russ and his team sided our home earlier this year. I could not be happier with the outcome. Russ's attention to details and devoted to customer service was apparent from day 1. He spent the better part of the afternoon driving me around to locations and homes that he done work for in the past. Some of it was to showcase his fine, work but it was also to help me figure out what I wanted and what would look good on my house. I do a lot of my own home improvements and am a tough sell on workmanship as well as reasonable pricing. Russ hit the mark on both with flying colors. He has since had his crew come back out to my home to assist with some finishing touches putting in new doors etc. Russ is a true professional.

It took a week to do. This included remove the old siding and window trim, house wrapped the exposed areas, and fixed any areas where the plywood needed to be replaced.. Resided with Hardy board and replace the window trip. Then they caulked all the seems and edges. The it was paint time, They also painted around my garage door, front door and front door frame. I looks great. 100 % quality work

Russell Morton and Perfection Roofing/Siding replaced all the windows, siding and then painted our house. His crews are wonderful and are perfectionists themselves. Our home turned out beautiful and I know the job was done correctly and that our home will look great for many many years to come. The price was very fair and they did not nickel amd dime us.

Couldn't have been better!! Russ Morton?s team at Perfection Roofing and Siding just completely re-sided and painted my 50-year old ranch house in Milton. I could not be more pleased with the quality of work and the professional manner in which Russ and his team performed. I discovered Perfection after a search on Angie?s List and was impressed by the high number of perfect reviews. Russ came over and looked at my house and gave me an estimate on the spot. I am an engineer by training and have some experience in construction costing and I had done some online research and had a pretty good ballpark idea of what a fair market price should be, so, I thought the siding price Russ quoted was very competitive - I was blown away when he told me that his price included painting. I was already sold, but, Russ encouraged me to go and get a couple of more estimates from other contractors, and, if I wanted to go with another company I was under no obligation to use Perfection. In the meantime, we scheduled another meeting in which Russ took my wife and I over to view 3 or 4 other houses that his company had done. He told me that one job had been completed 5-years earlier (a fact I later confirmed with the homeowner) but it looked like it could have been completed the day before ? it still looked perfect. Upon seeing the quality of his work I knew I definitely wanted to go with Perfection. Unbeknownst to Russ, I drove back by a couple of the houses he showed me, knocked on the door, introduced myself and told the homeowner that I was considered contracting with Russ to re-side and paint my house. Both of them gave Russ a solid and wholehearted recommendation. After this due diligence, my mind was made up and I formalized my agreement with Perfection. The Perfection siding and paint crews are undoubtedly the highest quality and hardest working group of craftsmen I have ever hired. My wife commented that Fabio and his siding crew were almost like watching Olympic athletes. There was not a wasted motion and every piece of siding and moulding they cut fit perfectly the first time. There were several odd task that I asked the crew to do including installing a new octagonal window in a gable where there had previously been a louvered vent. Russ would have been completely justified in charging extra for some of the added tasks but they included them in the project at no additional charge and did so cheerfully. One of the homeowners I spoke to had said that he thought the Perfection painting crew was probably the best in Atlanta and after seeing them perform I have to agree. They first pressure washed the new siding to remove all of the dust and then completely caulked every crack and joint in the whole house using a high end 35-year Sherwin-Williams product. They applied 2 coats of Sherwin-Williams Super Paint to the house and siding and even applied a couple of accent colors to the front door and front porch ceiling. On the final day of painting there was a four man crew that spent several hours doing nothing but going over the entire house with a fine tooth comb and doing minor touch ups. I had put together a final punch list of a few minor items, but, before I could even go over it with the foreman the paint crew had already found and addressed them. When the job was completed everything was picked up and cleaned up and they even blew off my driveway. Throughout the entire job Russ called me every day and dropped by 3 or 4 time during the course of the project. He was available if I needed him but he was never intrusive or in the way. He left the crews alone to work on my house without feeing any pressure that they needed to rush my job in order to get to another one. I had decided to go with the Nichiha fiber cement product instead of Jame Hardie and both the siding and paint foreman agreed that it was a superior product and delivered a much better paint finish. I did pay a small upcharge to have Nichiha shingles applied in a front gable (where the octagonal window was installed) and on a small accent wall. I took a picture of a nearby house that had the shingle pattern I wanted installed and gave it to the siding crew ? they recreated it perfectly. In summary, I am completely satisfied with the job the Perfection crew delivered. Here are the major points that sold me on this company: 1. Russ was very responsive and showed up on time for his appointments. 2. There was no high pressure sales tactics. Russ even encouraged me on two or three occasions to get competing estimates so that I would be confident that his price was fair and competitive. 3. He showed actual examples of his work that I independently verified with the homeowners. 4. His crews were professional, courteous, hardworking and dependable. 5. The quality of work was second to none. 6. The materials were of the highest quality. 7. There was never any bickering or ?nickel and diming? even though I think Russ? material costs may have been slightly higher than he originally anticipated. I paid exactly what we originally agreed upon. 8. I was not obligated to pay a single cent until the job was completed to my satisfaction. This is a truthful and honest endorsement of Perfection Roofing and Siding and Russ Morton. I will be happy to personally speak to you if you are contemplating using Russ and you are welcome to come to my house and personally see the quality of his work. These guys are real, true, professionals. They know what they are doing and take real pride in their work. They take tons of pictures and will video tape their work so you can see exactly what a good job was done even if you are not around. For example, they replaced a bunch of rotted wood. Well, I was gone for a couple of days so they took lots of pictures so I could be confident that everything was done right. As they replaced all the rotted wood and then put siding on top and I would not have been able to see everything without the pictures. This was an old house and they did a great job making it look new again. They added panels where it would give the house a refreshed look and even 2 new decorative pediments over the windows. They scraped away the old paint and did a pristine job. I added a couple other things to the project and they did them right and were easy to work with. My kids spilled a bunch of paint and they cleaned it up right away without complaint or attitude or making me or my kids feel bad. I am pretty particular about colors and how i wanted things painted and they followed my instructions to a T while still giving me their valuable and professional input. (The painters have a great eye for color if you ask them their opinion.) I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again. They truly care about the finished product. My house looks amazing!

Russ and his crew did an absolutely fabulous job - made the house look completely different and a 100 times better. They were very professional and got the job done in record time. We liked that he showed us previous jobs he had completed, not just studio pictures. Definitely more detailed/clean than the other homes nearby. He really did live up to expectations and repeated multiple times from start to finish that he will fix any issues, if found in the future, even after he was paid in full.
