Perfection Roofing & Siding

Wow...I'll keep this short and to the point. I contacted Perfection (as I had done with a few other AL rated companies) and from the get go, realized I was dealing with a very unprofessional company. I have a few windows on a wall of windows which have rotted out and have fogged up which I wanted to replace. After my initial call was returned, I explained the exact situation i.e. on a wall of about 16 windows, I had a few that needed to be replaced. At that point, Perfection tried to sell me windows that would not match existing windows on the same wall of windows (Vinyl windows where wood windows currently exist.) He also tried to sell me high-end energy efficient windows which again, I explained that it wouldn?t do much good to have a few energy efficient windows on a wall of non-energy efficient windows...After he could tell this wasn?t going to be a "BIG" job, he told me to look for someone closer to my location...So?unless you have a ?BIG? project and happen to be next door to Perfection, don?t waste your time.

It was great working with Russ, he gave a detailed explanation of the work during the estimate. Everyone on the crew was professional and easy to work with. They discovered some wood rot on the fascia and offered to replace it free of charge. They did a great job with no noticeable imperfections, it looks very professional and I'm very happy with the result!

I contacted Russ Morton of Perfection through Angie's List based on his excellent rating. He came to my house a couple of days later. I had gotten quotes for window replacement a couple of years in the past, but the cost was overwhelming and was something I simply could not afford, so I put it off. Russ is a good salesman (and owner of the company), and brought along a sample window to show me the quality of the product he would be installing. I took him on a tour of the house and showed him all the windows I wanted replaced and he made suggestions for which type of window (the kind that raises, picture windows, and crank windows) would go best in the space. The windows he would be using were top-quality, double-paned, aluminum-frame windows, and come with a lifetime warranty. I informed him there was likely to be a good bit of rotted wood under many of the windows based on the age of the house and what I had been told by a contractor who replaced my siding a few years back. I had been dreading the job because of this. Russ assured me that they would replace all rotted wood that they found. In addition to the windows, I asked Russ to replace some wood around my front door and in the soffit in two places where it had literally rotted through. The price he quoted me was considerably lower than what I had seen elsewhere, and he guaranteed I would be satisfied with the job his crew did before they called it done. He took me to the home of a current customer and introduced us and showed me the work they were having done. I liked what I saw and we signed a contract. Carlos came to measure all the windows, and the order was placed in mid-August. After a few weeks, the custom windows arrived, and we scheduled Russ' crew to come install the windows. Carlos and his assistant showed up on a Thursday morning. By that evening, all of the new windows had been installed, the rotted wood replaced, and the windows had been caulked thoroughly. They even replaced some of the damaged screens on the windows I did NOT have replaced with the better screens from the windows they removed. They left after cleaning up and instructed me not to hang blinds or curtains until the caulk had had time to cure for at least 24 hours. The next day, he came back out to do some touch-up work, but essentially, that was it. It took one 14- to 16-hour day to replace more than twenty windows -- and rotted wood -- on two floors. On Saturday morning, Mitch arrived and immediately began to remove rotted wood from around my windows, soffit, and front door. There was considerably more rot than expected, but he handled it wonderfully, and by the end of the day, I could not tell that there had ever been a problem. They came back on Sunday morning to finish up the painting around all the windows where Carlos had caulked, to finish the new wood installation around my door and front windows, and clean up. He even cleaned out my gutters, which he said were nearly full. Four days. To completely refurbish my entire house so that it will be more energy efficient, have no rotted wood, and look better. The entire process was painless from beginning to end. Russ and his people know what they're doing and want to satisfy their customers at all cost. He did what he said he was going to do (and more), it was quality work, and the price was good. You can't really get much better than that. I would definitely hire Perfection again, and fully intend to do so if I have to have any siding work done. I think I'm set for windows, for a while. :)

After reading reviews on Angie's list I really wanted this company to do the work, but to me my job seemed too small for them to want to do the work. I was pleased when Russ came out and viewed the damage and agreed to make the repair. The gentleman that actually made the repair was very punctual, so very pleasant and cleaned up after the work was done. The owner, Russ, made several follow up calls.

Rus has some of the best crews I've been exposed too, the were very responsive to concerns I had plus on their own they brought different ways of improving the outcomes I wanted. This was clearly seen in the gutter work where the idea I had was replaced with a much better way to handle the water and get it to the places I needed. Each crew ended their job by walking me around to see if I was completely happy with their work, where do you find that kind of service focus today. What sold me on this contractor originally was not his sales talk, he could be better there but his practice of driving me to 4 or 5 other jobs he has done and arranging it so I could talk to each home owner and inspect his work. In places where other contractors were doing work we looked at those houses to compare and it became an easily choice. And now that it is all completed, faster than we thought possible - we love the impact of the total job.

I hired Russ to do my siding, and in the process of talking with him, found out he did windows also. So, he gave me a Pella price that was very attractive. I would recommend him.

Russ did a great job, starting on time and finishing nearly on time (the rain delayed things a bit). His crew did a great job with both the siding installation and the painting. We had a few things that we changed during the course of the work, and Russ and his crew were happy to oblige. I had shopped around a bit for the siding as we are in a huge remodel of our home. Russ made a no-nonsense proposal, took me to see some of his work, and provided me with names and addresses of other jobs I could go see. His work is high quality and I hope to see it last for many years. We wanted to use a paint that is highly rated by consumer reports, and, although it's not the paint he normally uses, Russ went to the retailer and negotiated the price down so I didn't have to pay much difference over the paint he normally uses. That was great, and more than I expected. In the end, I very happy with the work, and would recommend Russ to anyone needing a siding or window contractor. (Maybe other stuff as well, but that's all I know about)

I contracted Russ to replace my windows. The experience was by far the best I ever had with a contractor. I had several estimates and the prices were laughable (ridiculously high) - Russ gave me a price that was nearly half of what the big companies wanted. I did a lot of independent research on his windows. Consumer reports rated it highest in energy efficiency and his previous customers raved about his great work. Russ demonstrated the window with all its features and the product was impressive. When he installed the new windows, rotten wood was discovered which he replaced with PVC material. I expected to pay additional charges but he declined to charge any extra cost. (This was a first in dealing with a home improvement company!) Needless to say the windows are great, the clean up was immaculate. Russ and his crew were very professional and I would recommend them to anyone.

Perfection Siding and Windows were very good. He was very professional, he was well mannered, he did a nice job. The price was good. I can't say nothing bad. Other members can expect a quality job. A nice man. What he said he was going to do he did. I was very pleased. I've dealt with a lot of contractors in my time and this one was by far the best. He was competitive, he cleaned up, he didn't play any games at all. If he was going to be late for something he called. He was competent. He did a beautiful job. The people he has working for him, you don't have to worry about anything.

We have signed a contract and are waiting to begin any day now. He has been delayed on a prior job by bad weather and will be here as soon as he finishes there. He has kept us informed.

;I am absolutely amazed & thrilled at the excellent quality of the job Perfection Siding did on my house. I've had piecemeal replacement of siding & painting in the past, and it didn't come close to the quality of this job. Russ Morton, the owner, was the only contractor who came out to do the estimate the day after I called, called daily to let me know the schedule, and when I called, always answered his own phone 99% of the time (not a secretary) and the couple of times I left a voice mail, he returned my call promptly. He always asked if I was happy with the work. I had the siding replaced on both 2 story sides of my house, including all the trim and corner boards, & when I decided at the last minute, I wanted the aluminum frame around my large double window removed, he had his installer, Mitch do this, removed the rotted wood underneath & replaced it all at no extra charge. The siding installer Mitch & the painter were professional, seemed pleased to answer any questions I had, & asked me to look over their work, that they wanted me to be pleased with the work, & make any corrections I wanted . They did such a meticulous, detailed job, I didn't really need any corrections.They worked 10 plus hours a day, and even having to work around the rain, got the whole job done in about a week. In the 20 years, I've owned this home, this was the best workmanship I've seen.

We are very happy with the job done replacing the chimney siding. Met with Russ and reviewed his estimate, he explained the procedures and answered any questions that I had. He really focused on making sure that the job was done right. We experienced a small delay in the schedule, rescheduled and the work was done on time when promised and we could not be happier with the finished product. His crew were very professional and friendly, and also answered any questions I had. I would not hesitate to contact Russ again in the future when I need additional work done.

Two workmen did this in one day starting at 9:00am and finishing at 8:00pm. Excellent job, very professional. Contacted them previous week, met at home the next day for estimate, agreed on job, completed job the next week. Called to keep in contact as to when workers would start and finish. Reviewed completed job with me and after I had throughly inspected work and was satisfied, payed. A $100.00 deposit was all that was required to schedule work. I would recommend Perfection Siding to family and friends. Excellent customer service. A real pleasure to deal with.

So far it's excellent. I have awarded him this job. I have received quotes from others. They are not even close of what Russ is offering me.

I received approximately 8 estimates before deciding on Perfection Siding and Roofing. The deciding factor was physically going to see what the work looked like. Russ Morton is very passionate about his company and wanted to prove the quality of his work. He drove me to view a previous customer?s home. At this gentleman?s home, I was able to compare what Perfection?s work looked like compared with his two neighbors who had their homes done by other contractors. Without a doubt, the job Perfection did was superior to the other homes. I was also very pleased with the quality and the look of the Nichiha product that was used. Mitch, who installed the siding was great and was eager to make sure everything was perfect. Perfection's painter, Adelino Fernandez is one of the best painters we?ve ever had. He pressured washed the entire house using bleach, and I?ve never seen my home look so good. I?ve used pressuring washing companies before, but have never gotten these results. Our house is about 27 years old and every window has a grid. I thought someday soon we?d have to replace these windows, but he sealed every window pane and painted each and every grid twice, making them look brand new. Truly amazing work. The work done to my house far exceeded my expectation and I am happy to recommend Perfection Siding.

Russ is one of the most professional contractors that I have ever dealt with. After contacting him, he returned our call immediately and made an appointment with us. He called prior to the appointment time to ensure that we were aware of his progress driving from Atlanta to Athens. Upon arrival, we walked around the house, and gave us a description of what products he would use and how the house would look after installation. He answered all of our questions and showed us how the installation would progress. He took us to a house in close proximity to our home and showed us the type and quality of work that he and his company perform. He then took us to another house that siding was installed by the other contractor that had met with us to provide us a bid. The difference between the quality of the two installations was noticeable and apparent to both my wife and to me. The siding of Russ' competitor did not join properly; the cutting of the siding was rough and not smooth; the nail holes were in evidence throughout the installation. Russ' installation was totally opposite in quality from his competitors'. We returned home, and the next day, I contacted the other contractor and told him that we would not need his services. I then contacted Russ, and made him aware that we would take his estimate, and wanted him to put the siding on our home. We were also favorably impressed that Russ included so many things in his estimate that others would require additional funds. He informed us that he would pressure-wash everything around the house, to include the walkways, the patio, the stone front stoop, and the deck. He would also seal our deck, which we had replaced (by another contractor) about a year ago. He is straight-forward, and definitely knows the products that he installs.

I could not have had a better experience. After asking numerous people for contractors that they may know to rebuild the chimney I went to Angies list to find someone because I had a pretty tight schedule. I called Perfection Siding on Friday, Russell came out on Sunday to give me an estimate, and took a very small deposit. Russell brought materials on Monday and reassured me that the job would be done by the end of the week. The men were here on Wednesday morning and had completed the job by 7:30 PM. They were very professional and friendly, and explained any questions that I had. I would not hesitate to contact Russell again in the future when I need additional work done. When I paid Russell, I mistakenly wrote the check out for the full amount - he brought the check back to me to let me know that I had neglected to deduct the deposit amount.

As mentioned above, we are very happy with the job done replacing our chimney. Upon close inspection, you can see the details of the fine work done. There are no wavy lines, the caulking was done professionaly and the new trim looks great too. Russ came with the original estimate. The work was done on time when promised and we could not be happier with the finished product. While the work was being done the crew explanied the procedured being used to ensure the job was done right. We look forward to having Russ finish the rest of the siding on our house.

Russell came to my home to give me an estimate for repaired woodpecker damage on my chimney. He was on time (a huge plus) and listened to my concerns. They came out within a few days to begin the project. Russell was in contact with me through out the project, letting me know the day before the crew was coming out and updating me on the progress. They completed the siding replacement in 2 days. Rain moved in so the painting was delayed by a day and he took the time to call me and apologize for the delay in getting the painting portion complete. Obviously the rain was not his fault, but the fact that he took the time to call a customer shows that he takes each job seriously, no matter how small the project. They did a fantastic job for a great price. Several of my neighbors have commented on the work. I would recommend Perfection Roofing and Siding to anyone.

I found everyone at Perfection Roofing and Siding were professional and very hard workers. They arrived when promised and worked quickly and quietly until the job was complete. They cleaned up as promised.

Perfection Siding/Russ was one of 6 estimates I had done on my home. All the other estimates came from Angie's List and all had either an A or B rating. By the time I met with Russ, I had already had a few estimates in hand and had gained some insight into what companies charge extra for, what products they like to use, what issues they saw with my house as well as a few suggestions on things I could do to the house to make it look nicer. After receiving a few estimates I also began to question which siding manufacturer I should use as I had been quoted Hardiplank, Certainteed and Nichiha. They all 'looked' the same and I had little knowledge in why one was more expensive then the other. I looked on line and found accolades on all three but also found lawsuits, complaints and issues with HP and Certainteed but saw little issues with Nichiha. To be fair, Nichiha has only been in the US market for about 10 years so some issues just may not have come up yet? After reading all these sites, I think I learned a few common threads; 1) all these manufacturers make good products that will last for years. However, some have longer warrantees then others so you need to ask. 2) The product MUST remain dry before it is installed. A wet board up against your house can be trouble later. 3) The house wrap on your home plays an important role and your house wrap needs the seams taped. A house wrap does not work as well if the seams are not taped. (read any house wrap manufacturers website and they all say to tape) 4) Most important; the installer's skills and training in installing the product is a huge part in determining if you have issues down the road. After all this research, I decided on Nichiha and I decided to look on Nichiha's website for certified installers. I cross referenced the names with those on Angie's list and Perfection Siding was one of several companies I called. With my better understanding of the products and the install process that is recommended by the different manufacturers I met with several more vendors. I quizzed them on the process they use and they did not always give me straight answers. Some wrote down my question and then got back to me with the answer, which was appreciated. I did get a few answers that contradicted the manufacturer's recommended install procedures which caused me concern. When I met with Russ (Perfection Siding) he confidently (and correctly) knew the install process and answered each of my questions with experience. He was the only vendor who told me he always tapes all the seams of the house wrap. All the other vendors told me it was not necessary and they would charge me extra if I wanted them taped. The manufacturers of Tyvek, Green Guard and Barricade tell you that in order to maintain a consistent water barrier on your home, you need to tape the seams around the windows as well as the vertical seams. Russ sold me on his knowledge at this point but I needed to see some of his work to be certain. Russ and I went for a ride to some nearby neighborhoods where he showed me some of his recent work. He showed me his attention to the little details on the home that made a difference in the overall quality of the job. At this point, I liked what I heard and I liked what I saw but did not know what he would charge for my home. Russ then gave me his quote. While his quote was not as detailed or professional looking as some of the other vendors, he does not nickel and dime me by itemizing everything on the quote. I had one vendor quote me $375 to take the shutters off my home and another $375 to put them back up. Look, you can't reside my house without taking the shutters off, so why quote me a price to remove them? Every other vendor wanted to charge extra for about 100 square feet of shake shingles we decided we wanted in the front gable of our home. Russ liked the idea of adding the shake shingle and when I asked him how much more and his reply was, 'I will do that at no extra charge.' Russ also did a ton of extras on my home at no extra charge that are too many to list. I decided at the last minute that I wanted to change some moldings out and did not know how Russ would react as the delivery was already in my driveway. Russ' response was, 'no problem, whatever you want.' Perfection Siding's quote was not the cheapest but it was by no means the highest. Of the 6 quotes I got, I think Russ was the within $1000 (on $23000) over the lowest bid. With that, I called Russ and gave him the job. When the Perfection Siding crew arrived (Jay was the head guy), they did an OUTSTANDING job! Each day, Jay asked how I liked the progress and if I had any questions or did not like the way something looked. Russ also checked in with me to make sure I was pleased with the progress. They cleaned up each day and covered the stacks of material so they would not get wet overnight. They did everything they said they were going to do. At the end of the job, Jay came back to meet with me to go over my punchout list. Since they were checking with me each day, my punchout list had only 4 small items on it. When the painting crew came in, I think there were 8 people on ladders on my house caulking everything in sight. They discussed the process with me before they started painting and asked me my preferences and what I wanted. I had my porch ceiling stained and sealed with 2 coats of Spar so they had to be very careful not to get paint on the ceiling. They did a great job and my porch ceiling looks awesome. The paint job looks great and with 2 coats of SW Superpaint, I know it will last. The last day the painters were here, they cleaned my window sills, pressure washed my porch flooring as well as pressure washed my front walkway. That was not in the contract but was done without my asking. The painters then walked around my house one last time to clean up any leftover materials, trash, nails, etc. My house looks great and I am very happy with each step in the process. Perfection Siding delivered on the promises they made.

the work was exc edllent. Workers were very skilled and extremely polite and helpful. The owner personally cleaned up the job site when the work was completed because his usual clean-up man was ill. I feel that the job was very well done and the price was well below estimates given by other companies. I would not hesitate to use Perfection Siding for other jobs and highy recommend them to anyone requiring similar work. I believe they saved me considerable expense by repairing the chimney pan at no charge to me. I will eventually have to replace the pan, but expect to get another two or three years of use out of the existing one. The job was done in a timely and efficient manner.

This was a truly amazing experience, fast, professional, and efficient. I sent out several inquiries, but Russ was very quick getting back to me and we discussed the job over the phone. A couple of days later, we met at my house so he could see what needed to be done ... that was on Thursday. On Friday, materials were delivered to my home, and the work was completed on Monday. When I left for work in the morning, the crew was pulling it apart; when I got home, the work was completed, the new structure painted, and it looked brand new. The pricing was very good, as well, as he was able to pass along a savings he got on the cedar siding. No hidden costs or surprise upcharges, the cost was precisely as originally quoted despite the extra materials he ended up buying and the extra labor he did. The work has a 30-year warranty. I can't adequately express how delighted I am. The business is called "Perfection Siding" and the name truly fits. Russ is a perfectionist in all things!

I was VERY impressed by Perfection Siding, and highly recommend Russ and his company. After reviewing several companies through neighbor recommendations and the BBB, this company impressed me with the knowledge, truthfulness, and workmanship. The owner personally took me to see some of his company?s finished product. The proof is in the results. After seeing his work compared to others, and calling customers using his competitors, it was the right choice. If there was something I did not understand, or mentioned another company was going to do, Russ was honest to either accommodate by adding it in, or mentioned it was a simple ?bell and whistle? sales uses to jack up the price. My budget was limited, but definitely wanted the best work for the price, which was still better than the competition. The work crew was punctual and hardworking. It was important to me to find a company that had a trained, seasoned crew and not a side of the road cheap laborer that could care less about the final product. They even painted the downspouts which we did not discuss. Russ was the final inspector, and if he or I was not happy, then he would have fixed any issues before payment was made. They cleaned up after themselves and did not leave me with a mess. It has been 4 months since the work was done, and it still looks like it did from day one. No uneven boards, nail holes, or fading paint. I have not posted any reviews before, not a friend or relative of Russ, and rarely trust/like contractors. With so many ?throw it up, and get my money? companies out there, this is not one. Include Perfection Siding as one of your competing quotes.

I can't speak highly enough about Russell and the crew of Perfection Siding. They were prompt, courteous, professional and skilled. Their cleanup was very thorough leaving not so much as a nail around our home. Folks, these guys are the best. "Perfection" is apt name for this group of craftsmen.
