Description of Work: Hired Ken to paint as I have had him before and was happy when he (as opposed to a helper) actually performed the work. But this time the painting was not as good. But the really bad part was that I had had $9,000 worth of new hardwoods over about 1100 sq. feet put down in April 2012 and Ken and his helper did not use drop clothes and coverings as they should have - and they dragged a step ladder and furniture across the floors which caused indentions and scratches. Also, a heavy lamp was dropped on the floor which caused two dings. I was just sick about it -- Ken did give me my $2000 back. But it has costs me more than that to have parts of the flooring replaced and to correct some of the sloppy painting. Also, Ken did not have insurance. Ken picked out a very good paint color for me and did some other repairs, which were ok. He had previously put in a new back door (with a pet door), which was just fine. In years past he has done molding and painting himself which was just fine. So I was really surprised at what happened this time. Having expensive new floors partly ruined by dings, paint residual, indentions and scratches was very upsetting and I expected better.
