 + -1 moreNeeded our lock changed on our very old troublesome antique door. Armor sent someone out the same day. (we had a burglar steal some things from our porch including the spare key) Having had a previous over-priced experience with the same antique door I was apprehensive.The locksmith was a woman. Very honest. Explained to me what is happening with my often difficult to lock door, changed the lock within an hour and retooled a few things. The next day we could not unlock the door. They came out immediately (same locksmith) apologized and fixed it immediately. It works better than it has in years. Will definitely use them again. They are honest, skilled, and I get the feeling they value their customers.

Description of Work: Double dead bolt locks were professionally installed on three doors. The locksmith also installed an anti-kick mechanism on one of my doors. I am very pleased with the work that was performed.

Description of Work: We were looking for a company to come out and give consultative advice on extra security measures we could do to fortify our home that would be preventative. This company focuses mostly on businesses, not residential. They will come out to do residential work if you have something specific that needs to be done (like re-keying lock). But that don't come out to do estimates. They will discuss over the phone if you have some questions.

Description of Work: Rekeyed all locks. They were very responsive, punctual, and professional. Great job. I will use their services when I need to have any keys copied. Copies of keys are only $2.00 each and each cyclinder to be rekeyed was $15.00.

 + -1 moreI want to thank Kimberly Weed. She is great. Real customer service and very professional. She is a "keeper" and I hope the folks at Angie's List appreciate her contribution to the success of AL. She could not have been more helpful, patient and understanding.
Description of Work: My key broke off in the lock as I left for work. I called Angie's List and they sent me three company names. I called the one nearest my home. They said they would call me back. In about 30 minutes they called me back and said that a company van was at my home. I work 10 minutes from my home. When I got home the broken key was removed and Ron Barnes had made me a new key. Now that is great service. In addition Ron asked me if he could do anything else before he left. I had another lock that needed keying. That was done quickly. Ron said he had to charge me the minimum for a house call. So I had everything taken care of within 30 minutes or so and at what I consider to be a fair and reasonable price for the rapid response, friendly professional service. I mentioned that I got his company name from Angie's List and that I intended to say good things. He thanked me and said that if anything was not right to tell Angie's List that as well. Now that is customer service.

 + -1 moreI sent them an email to ask how much it would cost to fix a broken lock on a file cabinet if we brought the file cabinet to them. They responded promptly, telling me that it should not cost more than $20. My husband brought the cabinet to them and they were able to replace the lock while he waited. They charged only $9. He had to wait a little while while they figured out how to handle the problem, but in light of the fact that we had not called in advance to set up a time for the work to be done, the delay was reasonable.
Description of Work: Replaced a broken lock in a wooden, lateral file cabinet.

 + -1 moreIt went very well. The problem occurred on a weekend. We were offered emergency service that day or service on the following Monday. We chose the latter because it would be more expensive on a weekend and we were able to get out of the house through other doors. Our front door lock is about 35 years old and we thought that the parts would not be available, which would have led to a costly job. We were pleased that Armor Co. had the needed parts and was able to fix the problem quickly.
Description of Work: Front door lock could not be opened from inside our house, although it could be opened from the outside. In other words, we could not turn the key to the front door and leave the house from that exit. Also, we couldn't open the front door to visitors. An experienced employee came to our house, removed the entire lock, examined it in his truck, repaired the deadbolt, replacing parts, and had our lock working smoothly after less than an hour.
