DONNIE'S LAWN CARE & LANDSCPG

All the grass in the front yard died and the shrubs had grown out of control. We were in desparate need of a landscaping makeover but couldn't find a landscaper willing to resod the lawn last year because they were doing commercial work. In February this year, I contacted Donnie and the first surprise was that he called me back almost immediately and set up an appointment for the next week. He was on time for the appointment and when we walked the yard, he showed he actually knew about plants and shrubs, accurately identifying them and pointing out when the various shrubs should be pruned. He listened to what I wanted and made good suggestions about which shrubs and the type of sod that would work best for the yard and our budget. He promised an estimate by the weekend and delivered. He worked with me over the weekend to refine the work to come closer to our budget. The best part was that after we agreed on the work and price, work started the next day. So within 10 days of calling, his crew was at work tearing out shrubs (a really big job), etc. He resodded the lawn a couple of weeks later and did a great job. Donnie personally supervised the work as well. The yard has been totally transformed and looks beautiful. He will be doing our yard maintenance from now on. Our experience was positive because Donnie has great ideas, knows about landscaping, is on time and meets deadlines, and will do smaller residential landscaping jobs (he does commercial, too, but many other landscapers only want the big stuff). I don't think he's the cheapest landscaper in town, but his prices are reasonable and he will make scope and plant suggestions to help stay within your budget. His price for yard maintenance is competitive. Another positive is that Donnie usually answers his phone and when I've left a message, he has never failed to return my call in a reasonable time.
