Tony Vecchio and his team installed new wood flooring throughout our entire house, and a creative wood medallion at the front door entrance hallway. They also installed new iron stair railings with a wooden bannister. The results were breathtaking! All of the work was done in minimal time, with as little disruption to our regular routine as possible. Highly recommend 1st Class Flooring for your wood flooring and stairway projects.

1st Class Flooring has completed four hard wood projects, including refinishing, installation, grand stair way, and repair, for us and we have been completely satisfied with the timely completion and quality of work. They did and excellent job. We were completely blown away by the final results. We removed an intake from the middle of the hallway, and you can’t even see where it was! They also installed LVP in two rooms and installed window trim and baseboards.

They did a great job. Kept me abrupt of everything they were doing and kept everything cleaned up. Will be hiring again to resand flooring I already have and lay more new hardwood flooring.

Tony and his team were amazing. The attention to detail and desire to get things done right were obvious from the start. We had a bit of a time crunch due to our kitchen cabinets being installed soon, and the weather was NOT cooperating. Nevertheless, the guys showed up and made up for lost time, getting the job done within the requested time frame. This is one of the most important benefits of working with Tony, as it has been my experience that most service contractors just can’t seem to get it done on time. That the results are gorgeous is a significant additional benefit!!

Tony and his crew at 1st Class Flooring were great from the moment I called them. We were renovating a kitchen in a 1922 home and had to replace some flooring and refinish the whole house. I had a kitchen cabinet install on the calendar and Tony made an effort to reschedule some less critical appointments to get my job done on schedule. In the planning phase, Tony gave me a couple of options to reduce costs of materials and repairs which help to keep the job within a reasonable budget. He also recommended materials (which he procured for us through a local mill) and stains to make sure the new wood matched the historic floor. Tony seems to have a lot of experience working with historic homes. The crew showed up on time everyday and left the house very tidy. The dustless sanding system they used seems to work well, because I could not find any dust after they left. They applied two coats of clear gloss and finished with a final coat of matte. According to Tony, most refinishers just put on a couple of coats of matte, which gives the floor a cloudy appearance. I couldn't be happier with my experience, I would definitely recommend 1st Class Flooring to my friends.

GREAT!! Took me thirty years to finally decide to have my floors refinished because I was dreading the mess and hassle of moving all my furniture. BUT Tony made the process easy and seamless. He answered all my questions with patience and kept in touch throughout the job. I would highly recommend this company in the future! And I love my new floors!!

The crew was prompt and professional. They kept the clutter and mess out of the house. They worked quickly and finished the job early. We had about 2/3 of the house done and they are coming back early next year to complete. We didn’t have any place to store our furniture so we couldn’t have it all done at once. The floors look amazing. I really don't want to put down rugs to cover up the fabulous look and finish on the floors. We used oak wood and a stain that was mixed to our preference for color. We had existing hardwood in the kitchen and Tony made sure to match the wood. It was sanded and then all the floors were stained. The sanding machine left no dust. The care in and out of closets and around heating vents is meticulous. We are extremely pleased.

Staining 1940's wood with 2017 wood flooring... blending them without a trace? I don't think any company can do it better than 1st class flooring in the Chattanooga region. With their HEPA sanding system, you won't have to worry about mess, dust, or clean up. It is a must if you have small children, respiratory illnesses or allergies. The professionalism is unmatched with this crew and the attention to detail is spot on.

1st Class exceeded my expectations on the quality of work. Tony and crew are craftsmen that take pride in their work. I'll call 1st Class for any hardwood flooring projects in the future.

Everything went as planned until finished. 1st Class Flooring was punctual on time for the jobs to be performed that day. the floor was sanded and stained the first day. Two coats of sealer were put on floor the second day. The third day the final coat after a light sanding to help bring out the shine. The floor looks brand new.

1st class flooring = 1st class work! Tony, Ross, and Josh lived up to the company name. They did an incredible job with our flooring situation. They were creative fixing problem areas in a very old building. The results were better than we expected (and we had high expectations). The team went above and beyond the original scope of the work (we learned what challenges we had once the carpet was removed) to give us a beautiful floor.

Tony and his crew came out early on a Monday morning to begin their prep work, replaced the ruined subfloor in one of the rooms and removed and repaired the plywood patches. They also filled random holes that were put in to run numerous cables in the past. The next day they completed most of the sanding, but were a man down for part of the job and still managed to complete the sanding and staining on Wednesday. Undercoat finish was applied on Thursday. Topcoat finish was applied on Friday. I was able to walk on the floors in socks Friday evening and with shoes by Saturday afternoon. Tony and his crew were extremely professional and cleaned up after themselves. My floors look amazingly beautiful. I can't tell where the plywood patches used to be and I can't discern between the original planks and the new planks. They really did a fantastic job. I will absolutely use them again for future flooring jobs.

My wife and I own a company that has flipped home's for more than 20 year's. We were totally blown away with these guys. We knew our current project would need that certain look to bring the value up. We didn't want to go over budget but knew it had to be done. 1st Class Flooring surpassed our expectations! They work well together and doesn't waste time. Our floor's & new stairway were a smart addition to the total look we needed. I can't thank them enough for their honesty and ability to get it done! We love the new look!!

Tony and his crew were wonderful - did everything promised and on schedule. Each day Tony came and asked if I had questions and addressed all of my concerns. When it became clear that an area that connected to carpet would show under the door Tony came up with an elegant solution that we are very pleased with. Where things were a problem due to the way the house was constructed he pointed them out and suggested how we might resolve the issue. At the end of every day all the equipment was put out of our way and the work area swept and cleaned-up. They use a 'dustless' sanding system that was extremely effective. When it was time to stain the floors Tony spent time with us looking at the stain samples to be sure that we would be happy with the color match; same with the final finish as my husband debated satin versus gloss. While installing new hardwood isn't inexpensive we feel we definitely got good value and would highly recommend this company.

We thought we had the floor ready for him to just come in and lay pre-finished hardwood that i had purchased .We did not know that you should not lay hardwood flooring on pressed board so that was the first thing he had to explain then he and his crew had to embark on the task of pulling up nails that had been put in the floor about every 1" or 1 1/2' and that was a really time consuming and tedious job to say the least . Then they went about the task of putting down plywood to insure that my floor would be firm. Then they started to lay the pre-finished flooring that I had purchased to match my existing hardwood that it would be meeting up with . Well to say the least it did not match ! Not only did it not match but it wasn't even the color I was supposed to have gotten .So after calming me down he proceeded to explain that I would be better off to purchase unfinished hardwood and let him finish it to match my other floors. He said it may cost a little more but that if I scratched it or something happened he could fix it but with the pre-finished he couldn't . So I purchased un finished hardwood and he and his crew went about laying my new flooring. They finally finished the job today that was supposed to have only taken 2 days . It has been a week of putting up with one thing after another but through it all Tony was so kind and understanding. And now I am the happy owner of beautifully finished hardwood floor that matches my other floor and I feel so excited !

He was always on time. My house had no dust while the job was being done. The floors are beautiful. Everyone that sees them loves them. I do not have a single complaint and would certainly use 1st Class Floors again.
