GANKA PAINTING

Painted the exterior of my house, and frosted minor repairs like replacing cracked concrete siding and rotten wood. Very thorough and detailed. Definitely professionals. Carries workman's comp and insurance, and still had the best quote out of for I had. Didn't blink when I added things on last minute and changed the type of paint. Was happy to put up some samples so I could have some time to choose the right color long before starting the job. Started the job as soon as I was ready. And he actually answers emails ( and I had ALOT of questions) promptly. The guys were very hard working and friendly. They did so much more carpentry work than I thought would be included, and they did it very well. Didn't ask for a deposit. I didn't know my house could look so good!

Owner of Ganka came over and gave a fair quote of $150 so I hired him with the stipulation that the repair look as close to the original as possible so the patch would match the rest of the ceiling. He said it would, so I agreed. His guys came over and made the patch and then asked me to look at it. They sprayed heavy popcorn that didn't match and one of his guys tried to feather the edge with a sanding sponge and made it look like a picture frame surrounding the patch. They agreed to come back after lunch and redo it. While they were gone the owner called to complain he would be losing money if his guys came back. I told him what they did and he still complained so I gave him two options. 1. Your guys come back and fix it like they said they would or 2. I'll pitch your stuff out on the front lawn and you come get it. He chose option 2. I ended up making the repair myself.

The service was horrible. It cost way more in material than it should have because of their mistakes yet, the owner would not pay for the extra material that had to be purchased to correct in their coats. It took 3 weeks and I was told 1 week. Several rooms were left the wrong color. He wants full price for the work even though I will not allow them back in my house to repaint walls that were painted wrong or caulk and paint base board. He painted our front door white after we spent money having it painted black and it has to be completely repainted. He did not repaint it he just wiped what he could off and left it. Now he is sueing me for the remaining half of his money...because I refuse to pay anymore for such a terrible job. In all the experience I had with building my home and all the issues we encountered this was the only thing that made me cry. I cried when I saw how thick my walls looked with all the corrected coats of paint on it. Every day we would have the owner come and look at all the errors and ask him to stay on this job and get it corrected. He never would stay on the job. He even lied several time saying he come by and checked in on the guys and he had not because I would be there all day. These people have a bad operation. Even the guy that recommended him still keeps apologizing for recommending him because he was doing my tile work and saw how bad the paint job was. He said it was the worse job he had seen.
