BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! Under no circumstances do not hire this company. I entered into a contract with this company on January 5, 2023 for siding, exterior painting, gutters, and back door. First, During the siding removal and installation, the subcontractors damaged most of my window frames on the inside of my home by causing them to come loose, they caused my kitchen cabinets to come loose, and a portion of my fireplace. I called Brandon Hutton, the owner, to advise him of the damage and without coming to see the damage himself argued with my and tried to hide behind a nail tap clause in the contract. Then he offered to send his guys to "come and nail the frame back to the wall, but will not be responsible for further damage". Additionally, I have siding nails coming through a few of my window frames, Of course he initially took responsibility for the damages and filed a claim with the their insurance company. However, as I kept finding additional damage, Superior Pro subsequently placed blame on the sub-contracted company. Not to mention they left one of my outside water spouts detached from the siding. To date, I am still fighting with this claim. Second step was the exterior painting. This went pretty smooth until it came to put my shutters on. That's when I discovered the project manager and the siding contractor had an entire conversation about the shutters I wanted to put up with the board and batten but failed to include me in the conversation, preventing me from making a decision about paint colors with all the information. As I explained to the project manager and operations manager had I known about the shutter issue all the window trim and door trim wold have been a different color. Third, when the door installer came to install my door, instead of the door being bronze with external window grids, I received a red door with no grids. I was told they would order the grids and when the installer come to fix the door then the window trim and door trim would be painted the correct color. This past Friday, the door installer came with the grids for the door, but a paint crew did not come. This company sent the project manger and operations manger to paint the window and door trim rather than hiring a professional company. Let me note neither one of these people a professional painters. I also point out that the paint on the garage weather stripping and fascia board has started to fade and peel. It has barely been 6 months. This company refuses to own up to it's mistakes and short comings and try to use intimidation and word play to keep from doing right by their customers. It is July and my home is still unfinished and I am still fighting with the insurance company. Please consider any other company besides Superior Pro when doing renovations. I have uploaded a few of the photos.

We hired Superior Pro to perform stucco repair, caulking , and window trim replacement. While the work was eventually completed in a semi-satisfactory manner, the experience was an adventure no homeowner should experience. Let's start at the front end. Sales: Two words of advice: BUYER BEWARE! Our sales rep provided a quote for gutter and fascia board replacement. There was a minimum charge of $2000. We asked for fascia board painting and that was another $2000 because painting is done by a separate team. How about PVC instead of pressure treated pine for the fascia board? Sorry they don't make PVC fascia board. That is false! It's readily available at Home Depot and Lowes. We ended up going to a gutter company and getting exactly what we wanted for less than $2000. We asked about repairing a couple woodpecker holes and that was a reasonable $90 but the sales manager insisted that the sales rep push us towards skim coating for an additional $1500. He claimed it would not look right if skimcoating was not applied and of course they could not warranty the work, I asked if they would warrant against future woodpecker holes. Obviously not. There is nothing wrong with the $90 repairs. Production: One word: FRUSTRATING! Like many home improvement companies Superior Pro uses sub-contractors (1099 employees) instead of inhouse W-2 employees. That's not necessarily bad if the sub-contractors are managed effectively. In our case it looked like Superior Pro has a very informal relationshiip with the sub-contractors who showed up for work at their convenience if they even showed up at all. On day 1 when the contractors were late I called the project co-ordinator, project manager and sales rep and eventually learned that the same sub-contractor who committed on Friday to perform the work on Monday had a change of heart and wouldn't be showing up. Day 2 didn't go much better when the two men who did show left early without telling me then told the project co-ordinator that I told them to go home which is an outright lie! Wait it doesn't end there. The same crew showed up without proper materials and spent most of the day touring every Home Depot in Gwinnett County searching for the right PVC window trim. The same situation occurred later when looking for a stucco color-match material. Eventually an adult with journeyman-level qualifications showed up and completed the work in two days albeit with the color-matching delay sandwiched in between. Bottom Line: Superior Pro is neither. With a few google searches a homeowner can easily find a better company for stucco repairs or gutter work.

Our first project with Superior Pro was to repair and paint our two-story chimney. The original siding was composite boards that the birds kept making nests in. We had it repaired twice before but kept having problems. Superior Pro had an incredibly fair estimate to replace the siding with true HardiePlank, replace the corner boards, seal everything, and paint. They were done in one day, and we haven't had a problem since. More recently, we needed to paint the rest of our house including some minor wood repairs. Tim was great coming out to discuss and estimate the project. He was very open and honest with recommendations not only for them but work he recommended our normal contractor did before they started work. (mainly repairs to some of our siding) Superior Pro sent out another technician to verify the work and estimate prior to scheduling. They were able to give us paint match options so we wouldn't need HOA approval. Unfortunately, we ran into a snag on our end to be able to start the project. They do offer interest-free financing through Greensky Financial, but we needed to postpone the project. When I called, they understood completely and canceled without issue. They stand behind their work and treat customers right.

Superior PRO contractors hired did an excellent job with making my vision of my home become a reality. At the beginning Superior Pro wrote a quoted price below 5k for painting and stucco repair. When we reached back out several months later we were advised that they didn't want to do the job for the price originally quoted. If they did they would have to remove several items and only do the painting. We agreed because the most important thing was the painting but after the contract was signed, several times before the job started, hey came back and tried raise the price again by 9k. This is very frustrating because you think you found the company and paid the deposit. We were able to get what we wanted and I was very happy until day 7 when the scaffold was left on the property and we were advised they had no way to remove it. I would advise you to ensure that everything that needs to be done is written out in detail on their contract not on a piece of paper because they won't honor that. The contractors are awesome; but the company needs to work on truth in advertisement.

TL;DR - The final result was good and the house looks nice, but the contractor left a mess (a fact which they dispute), created an environmental hazard (they also don't agree here), and getting the job done right required a lot of follow-up on my part (and there is still a small item outstanding). For what I paid, I would have hoped for a less stressful experience. They weren't the lowest estimate I got, but they had such a good review on Angie's list, I went with them anyway. I'm happy my house looks nice, but I would not recommend Superior Pro. Some of my specific issues are outlined below: * 1. Contractor left environmental hazards. First, be aware that Superior Pro is not a Georgia EPD-Certified renovator in accordance with the Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rules, and you should not hire them to conduct renovations on your home if it was built prior to 1978. See This page for details: [*** Link removed ***] . I knew this going in, but assumed it would not be an issue for me. While my house is older, Superior Pro was hired to install siding after hazardous materials (asbestos siding) was removed by another contractor. I assumed lead paint wouldn't factor in at all, so I went ahead and hired them. After the asbestos siding was removed, I learned that what was left underneath was old wood siding with some paper over it. Two things happened. First, as the contractors pulled the old paper away from the wood siding, lots of small chips of old paint fell to the ground. When I pointed this out within the first two hours of them working on the property, and told them they should put poly down (per PRP rule best practices), the project manager shrugged it off and said that it wouldn't be necessary and that they don't do that for siding jobs. Additionally, as they cleaned and prepped the house, old paint on the trim was knocked off as collateral damage. Superior pro disputes that the chips of paint were knocked to the ground during their work, and said that it must have been from another contractor. However, my asbestos contractor had meticulously put down poly and was unbelievably careful in cleaning up any debris. Plus, I watched the bits sprinkle down on that first day (and pointed it out). Superior Pro also denied at one point that it was paint, and then later denied that it was lead. I had them come out and test, and their test was negative. However, I ALSO had Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) come out and test, and their test came up positive for lead. So I am left with conflicting evidence from EPD and from the contractor, but I'm inclined to believe EPD is correct. To their credit, the Superior Pro crew cleaned up a good bit of the paint chips, but it took a lot of back and forth and several weeks to get that done, plus there are still plenty left that I will have to deal with myself. EPD said that the standard should be no visible paint chips on the ground, which is definitely not the condition my property was left in. The Superior Pro project manager was cavalier about the seriousness of paint chips on the ground, and said that it wasn't enough to worry about, but I am not personally so unconcerned. This is an area of concern for me, and one that I've learned a lot about, and I think the issue is quite significant. This situation has left me with a lot of stress. If you think old paint chips aren't a problem, look into the legacy of lead toxicity in children that Baltimore, MD is still dealing with. 2. Contractor did not clean property - Apart from the issue with the paint chips, contractor just left a mess for weeks. Most of it was eventually cleaned up, but not all of it. I've found about a dozen nails in the dirt. They used some of my cinderblocks to tamp down their tarp for painting, and left them spread around the yard. Granted, my yard isn't going to win any beauty contests, so maybe they didn't think it was a big deal, but it was an issue to me as I'm dealing with back issues and can't move them myself at the moment. 3. I had to be very vigilant to ensure issues were resolved. Myriad small issues came up, which required lots and lots of back and forth on my part. Parts not replaced properly, contractors writing on trim that wasn't supposed to be painted, use of bleach in the power washing when they were supposed to use water that leaked under my door....just little stuff. Most, but not all, of the issues were solved, but it required significant follow-up on my part and more back and forth than I thought should have been necessary. I had to take time away from working to check up on the situation every day work was ongoing. Some issues were not solved. For example, As the contractors re-attached my downspouts, they changed the angle of one of my gutters and also caused a gap to open in a juncture between gutters. They denied causing any issues w/ the gutters, as they only removed the downspouts; however, no one came to even look. Additionally, one of the gutter straps was not properly replaced. When I mentioned this to the project manager, she promised that she would come back the following day and do it. I was hesitant to provide the final payment without the work being completely finished, but the project manager asked me if I was really going to make her wait on payment for such a small thing, and made a note on my final invoice, so I thought it would be OK, and that withholding payment would be excessive. That was November 29. Since then, I have texted her at least 5 times asking when it would be done. First she said early the next week (that didn't happen), then she said the next day (that didn't happen), then she said she'd do it the following week (that didn't happen), then she said there were delays due to the weather and that she'd come by the next week (didn't happen), then she said she'd do her best to get there the next day (didn't happen). The last time I asked was January 2nd. She said that once the weather was above freezing she'd replace the strap. Still no strap. I don't even want them to fix it at this point. I know this is a small thing, but I feel like an idiot--she promised me that she'd get it done, so I took her at her word and finalized the work and signed off on it. At this point, I don't even want Superior Pro to do it, and have asked the contractor who fixed the tilted gutter to just handle it for me. I'm honestly over the stress of the back and forth with the company. To their credit, here are some positive things about the experience: - Quality of the work looks good. Siding seems to be installed well and paint looks great. - Project manager communicated frequently and until this small issue at the end, was punctual and made good on schedule promises In the end, I'd say if you hire Superior Pro, take photos of everything before works begins. Everything. Pay attention and advocate for yourself.

First, we appreciate your business. Naturally, we want every project to go as smoothly and properly as possible. You have some valid points. We are constantly learning and developing better processes from feedback from our clients. So, thank you... Few things for clarity that are important to note: The paint chips on the grass were left behind from the another company that did the abatement. (Please note: We have pictures of the paint chips on the lawn before we did any work.) We are lead certified and Jennifer who was the project manager explained this. Jennifer even tested the chips and found there was no lead material. We did go out and clean up the lawn, however, we only installed and painted the new siding. We didn't scrape any old paint from anything to leave a mess on the lawn. We did remove the gutters to work behind them but we reinstalled the old ones after work was completed. In fact, we even painted, without additional costs, the fascia boards behind the gutters and some trim. Jennifer tried to reach out to the customer over 2 weeks ago regarding the strap, however customer told her not to worry about it. We always try to do what's right for the customer. In conclusion, this customer is completely taken care of regarding all issues.

work. In fact, when the project manager came by, to go over the work prior to collecting payment, he noted an issue that I had not. He was not completely satisfied, and he had the crew come back to fix it (I couldn't even see the problem) before he would collect the money. That is professionalism that I really appreciated.

The best thing I liked about them they were good at communicating, timelines and what was going on with the job. It took them about three days to complete the work. What I didn't expect was there are certain parts of the house, whether it be a utility line or air conditioner system lines that protrudes for whatever reason. When they re-did the siding, they sort of re-engineered the point it where it came out of the house, added blocks of wood. I didn't expect that, so it kind of surprised me.

I have nothing but good things to say. Without a doubt. Their employees and contractors are some of the best people to work with. They are honest, sincere. I found out that from their supervisor, that they would do whatever it took to please me. The workers were excellent. I would use any of them.
Description of Work: All exterior painting. Put in a new front door inside lights all the way around. New header over the front door. Replaced a lot of my siding, and repaired some of it in the back and in the sides. They stained, I have siding on the upper side, two ends of the house, and all the way up the back. They repaired and put three coats of stain on all the wood, all the cedar. Painted all the exterior. Trim, windows, gutters, all that stuff. Whatever you call that. That's all I can tell you that they did, but that's enough.

Terrible process in the painting. Would miss painting spots of the area being painted. Had to be constantly checking for missing areas - like painting part of a window but not getting the entire window painted. Didn't apply caulk where needed until pointed out. It started out great when Chuck (sales) came out to look at the damage and take measurements for the estimate he would send me later in the day. During the visit, he mentioned that Superior would not be the lowest bid, but that Superior is a certified installer for hardiboard and that their reputation and quality were top notch. I was okay with the sales pitch because he really seemed to know the business. He suggested that prior to replacing the siding we should sheathe the chase (e.g. plywood), wrap it in Tyvek and have the corner boards replaced with hardi as well as it was recommended by hardi. I was okay with all of this as I thought our home (built in 1993) was poorly constructed... meaning siding nailed directly to the framing. As promised later that day Chuck emailed me the quote, which I thought was high compared to other quotes I had received from other companies. In fact my neighbor who works in the trades told me he would reside the chase for cost of materials, and thought the quote from Superior was rather high as well. Sounded like a good deal with the neighbor, until he landed a large project that would consume all of his time. So we went with Superior... definitely not because of price but because Chuck talked about the reliability of the company, etc; etc. But he made it clear they would not be able to start immediately due to their backlog of projects. The following week, I get a call from Chris who works in the office and told me a Project Manager would be assigned to me and would contact me about the schedule, what to expect, etc; etc. I thought "wow" a PM overseeing this as opposed to just sending a crew. Probably why the cost more, but okay. Well time went by and no communications from the PM. I called the office and spoke to Chris again to make sure we were still on schedule. He said "didn't the PM contact you?" Uh, no. So he told me he would get the message to the PM. Again, no communications. The weekend before they were to start work, I called Superior a third time and again spoke to Chris to find out if my job was still on schedule due to the bad weather we were having that week. Again, "Didn't the PM get in touch with you?" Uh, no. So Chris promised he would have the PM call me. She finally did call me (first communication with her) to let me know the crew would be out on Tuesday (not Monday) due to weather. That's fine. I just wanted to know what was going on. Tuesday rolls around and no crew. I call Superior back, they have the PM call me to tell me it's now Wednesday due to the weather messing up their schedule. Again, I'm okay with it because I understand, I just wanted to be kept in the loop of what's going on. Wednesday comes and all the materials are dropped off on the driveway at 8:00 am. It's finally going to happen! But guess what... no crew. Of course I call back this time directly to the PM, and she tells me that she told me earlier the crew would be out on Thursday not Wednesday. That is a LIE. Maybe she's stressed and can't handle the job, who knows. But she told me Wednesday. Tip to PM: The customer is always right. To wrap up this review, the 2-man crew did come out on Thursday and worked their butts off for three long days... tearing off the old siding, installing sheathing, tyvek wrap the chase, reside and paint. Fantastic job and two of the hardest workers I ever met. Plus each day they would stop at the front door to tell me they were getting started and would stop by at the end of the day to tell me what they did and what still needed to be done the next day. Each night they cleaned up. On the final day they had me check out their work to make sure I was satisfied. They were the epitome of providing customer satisfaction and good communications! Bottom line... the crew who actually did the work was fantastic. Chris in the office did a fantastic job at customer relationships. However, the extra cost I had to pay to Superior to have a non-existent project manager was a waste of money. She never followed up on any of her to do's. Several times she was going to send me an email with her number, etc. I finally got that email at the end of the project. She told me she was going to come out to the house and check on the crew to make sure of the work they were doing. That never happened. When I called the office again to complain about her poor communications, I ended up having to talk to her instead of a supervisor. So I told her I wasn't happy. It's just a matter of keeping your customers informed about what's going on. She told me she was a great PM.. no way. I am a PM as well in the corporate world and I would have client issues if I did not communicate to my clients and keep them abreast of what was going on. She couldn't PM a small project like re-siding a chimney chase, I sure won't use Superior for doing the rest of my house, which I plan to do later this year. Mr Weitz, why don't you make one of the crew members a future PM. He understood the importance of customer satisfaction and good communication skills.
Description of Work: We needed to have our chimney chase re-sided due to damage from woodpeckers. I had decided that rather than replace the handful of damaged siding boards, I would want someone to reside the entire chase. * I didn't want the woodpeckers to start on another area of the chimney that was not hardi! :-)

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you felt communication with the project manager was poor. She does admit that she may have told you the wrong start date for the project. However, she says she did apologize to you and took responsibility for that happening. Our company protocol is for PMs to call clients with a start date, provide their name & phone number, describe the process for the project manager role, and remind the client that if they have additional questions to reach out to their project manager. The PM says she did not receive any phone calls or messages about any concerns from you. In addition, she offered to do a walk through with you after the project was completed, and you declined to have her do that and opted to mail the check to SuperiorPRO. It is always our intention to provide the best communication possible to clients. We do appreciate feedback like this so we can stay on top of our customer service. We thank you for your business and we are glad you are satisfied with the quality of our work.

Everything went well. From getting the estimate to finishing out the details, I was very happy. This project took place during some rain, some cold, and the holidays, so there were some delays, but what can one do? I really have nothing but good things to say about Superior Pro.
