Description of Work: They repaired all wood needing repair, caulked and painted.

Description of Work: Rodriguez Painting hires subcontractors to do their work. I was not aware of this fact whenever I hired them to replace decayed wood and paint the exterior siding and trim of my two story house. On April 18th ONE painter showed up and told me that his crew was sick and that he would be working on my house alone. It took him four weeks to do what the estimator had told me would take 4 or 5 days. He worked a total of nine days out of 24, usually showing up around 11:30 AM and leaving around 4:00 PM. (It only rained two of the days, so weather was not an issue). I later found out that he had an independent crew of his own working on other houses while he was trying to do mine. According to his excuses, It appeared many things hindered his work: his truck tore up three times and on 5 days he couldn't come because he had to take it to the mechanic, it took him three days to find Hardiplank siding for repairs (which he said he "had to go to Chattanooga because he couldn't find any place in Atlanta that carries Hardiplank"), and a couple of times he told me he had to go supervise his own personal crew on another house that was being painted by his own independent painting company. He was a very nice guy, but his carpentry skills were only adequate, and he had to use a good bit of caulk to fill in gaps in his work. We had to ask him to redo, repaint or repair several things. Our perception was that he would have left several problems if we had not been constantly reviewing and inspecting the work. He fixed them without a problem, though, when we brought our concerns to his attention. For example, I had specifically asked for satin paint on the trim. He bought gloss and had finished painting half the trim whenever I noticed it was the wrong sheen. He immediately went to the store, got the correct paint, and repainted it. Whenever we asked about the extensive dark overspray on the light siding he went back over it several times to make sure the paint colors matched. The problem is that we always had to bring attention to the problem. |Overall, now that he's finished, the house looks good. But in my opinion, the company does not oversee their subcontractors well enough. I called the company 8 times to inquire about problems and only once did they call me back. I eventually started calling the subcontractor directly. For them to send ONE painter out to do a job as big as what my house required is ridiculous. Four weeks to paint the exterior of my house is ridiculous. My having to supervise the integrity of the job is ridiculous. I was impressed with the professionalism and thoroughness of the estimator when he initially came out to our house, so I signed a contract and hired them. Even though the house looks good now, I will not hire them again. I encountered too much stress over getting this job completed, in addition to the countless plans I had to cancel and change in order to be at home for the "painters" to come. |

Description of Work: It would really help if they sent English speaking staff over. 3 teams were sent out; the first 2 had issues, and there was initially some poor communication. The 3rd team was excellent.

Description of Work: I hired Rodriguez Painting to paint the exterior of my house. They showed up on time and never left any mess. They did an excellent job and I thought the price was very competitive. I have already hired them for some interior work as well.

Description of Work: They were very speedy about coming out to look at the house and give a price estimate. We needed our house painted along with replacement of a couple sides of the Windows due to wood rot and our chimney cap needing to be replaced due to woodpeckers. We also needed a gable vent board to be replaced. The guy that did the estimate was very thorough. He took the time to really look at what needed to be done. He gave us the price for different grades of paint and we chose the premium paint. The crew came out to do the work and were done within 3 days. Everything looked great and the house looks like new with the paint job! We would definitely use them again! Overall A+! They are much cheaper than many of the other painting companies!

Description of Work: They did not complete the work. They sent out 2 crews to paint my house , but they both left. Apparently , they underbid the job, and the painting crews refused to do the work for that amount. They also said one crew had a wreck and couldn't make it on the day they were supposed to. Another crew had a family emergency on the day they were supposed to start. They seemed very professional , until they couldn't find a crew to do the work.

Description of Work: The exterior of our home was painted. The trim, decks, porches, everything. From the pressure washing to the final trim being painted was a delightful experience. The painters were very curteous and friendly. We had 4 other estimates on this project. This was not the least expenisive, however, because of the promptness of the person giving the estimate we decided to go with this people.

Description of Work: Pressure wash and paint the entire exterior of house (brick/siding). repair the soffet and replace damage wood on the siding. The concrete foundation and both concrete porches were to be painted with special concrete paint. The job was to take three or four days.
