Description of Work: Laptop would not connect with internet. Put in new NIC crard. Replaced Airport Wireless RouterRan 20 Windows updates.Installed IE8Uninstalled Firefox.updated Abobe Reader.

Description of Work: I just have to let everyone know of this update on Rod's Computer Repair & Service. When he came in and repaird my laptop he talked about building a computer for a lot less than you could buy one. I have a Dell that had Windows XP that I had bought in 2004 and loved it. It had gottten a virus last October and that is when I decided it was time to upgrade and purchased a new Dell laptop with Windowss 7 so I retired my old Dell and when Rod had my laptop up & going I told him about my old one & asked if he could repair it for me and install Windows 7 just in case I had problems with my laptop. He took it home with him and after calling me a couple of times to ask about different parts, programs to install, etc. and how much did I want to put into it within three days he had built a completely new computer and it works great and actually faster than when I first got it.

Description of Work: I work from home and use my computer for work so it is very important to me. On Friday I could not get on the internet through AOL so I called their tech dept to see if they could repair. They did not repair and after their call I could not get online through AOL or Internet Explorer and I could not access my contact data base or even get into my office programs and I was imagining the worse of a virus and loosing all my important information. I lost a whole day's work and imagined several more days of being without my information & computer. I found Rod on Angie's list and called to see if he could make a house call. Within 3 hours he was sitting at my computer telling me not to worry that he could retrieve my info AND HE DID! I was so relieved to know that I could go to work on Monday with all of my information that I need to do my job. He was so good I had him work on a notebook that I use when I go out of town which he got to working also. I would recommed him for any computer problem. He is also rebuilding a Dell that had a virus last year and wiped out my info.

Description of Work: Repaced NIC in PC, replaced Airport wireless router and ran updates. Ran updates for Windows. Installed Intrnet Express 8 and uninstalled Firefox.
