Kudzu Construction

When my house was built a few years ago, my contractors used a terrible shingle that ended up causing leaks in my home. It was devastating! Kudzu did a great job setting my expectations for the build before the job started. They held my hand during the whole insurance process and worked with my insurance adjuster every step of the way. After my insurance claim was filed, my Kudzu rep, David, met with my adjuster to make sure the claim was up to code and the necessary repairs were done. They also helped me with the insurance claims paperwork. David patiently sat with me and helped me pick out my shingles and some accessories for my roof. After he left, a Kudzu rep from the production department called me to schedule the work. He let me know when the materials and crew would get to my house and when I could expect the job to be finished. Everything ended up working out as planned, and the end result was my entire roof being replaced and looking better than ever! These guys really care about their clients and are really great at their jobs. I'd recommend them to any of my family or friends!

This process has been horrible and horrendous. I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy. Yes, Kudzu Construction came to perform repairs, HOWEVER, I was presented with a letter regarding what Jeremy (Production Manager) claimed to be the agreed upon punch list. I was informed by Jeremy that I had to sign the presented punch list letter prior to having any work performed. I reviewed the letter and I did not agree with the statement that their and quot;sub-contractor was better than standardand quot;. Especially after all the damages incurred by the sub-contractor to my home. Jason Webb (owner's son) did not remove this wording from the original and quot;punch listand quot; that was spoken to immediately after he penned it. I made an attempt to discuss why I refused to sign the letter with Jeremy. I asked if I could initial the one item that I did not agree upon so that the work could be completed. Jeremy then called Jason to explain the situation. I was given the phone to discuss my concerns and to my amazement that Jason began screaming at me and told me if I didn't sign the letter none of the work would be performed. Our current status is that Kudzu Construction has threatened court preceedings if they do not get the remaining insurance money. It is unfortunate that Kudzu Construction is allowed to provide substandard quality of service, bully homeowners, give false advertisement to consumers with their company's pamphlet stating, and quot;an earned reputation for honesty, quality, service and 100% customer satisfactionand quot; as this has not been my experience. I declare under oath that the information in this letter is truthful and email documents state the truth in my behalf.

Kudzu Roofing was excellent! The shingles on my home were defective so I contacted a number of roofing contractors. Kudzu was the first to show up and what was impressive was their knowledge about my roof problems and how they were able to secure reimbursement from my insurance company. They engaged the services of Parkstone Claims to work with the insurance company who arrived with the claims adjuster. The work was approved by my insurance company, but Parkstone and Kudzu worked with them to make sure all roofing components were included. I was only required to pay my deductible. My two-story house is slightly over 3,000 sf with a steep pitched roof. The roofers worked quickly and carefully. Work was completed in one day, including clean-up. They used a rolling dumpster for the old shingles and it was removed the following day. It took a number of weeks for the financial settlement with all involved, but it was worth the wait because more of the expense was covered than I expected. From the sales person to the roofers to the financial team at Kudzu, all were professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them!

We had storm damage and had Kudzu replace our roof. The company gave us a free inspection and estimate along with pictures and details on the damages and their findings. I mostly dealt with Brett Salter who was very professional, knowledgeable and always readily available to us. The work was done in a timely manner, they did great work and clean up. From what we can tell in comparison to other companies, the cost was right in line. One complaint I had was that the roofers (subcontractors) damaged a few of our screens when the were tearing up the old roof. However, Kudzu took care of this and repaired each and every one. Another complaint is that less than 6 months after the work was completed, I have shingles missing from my roof. I've called them but have yet to hear back, hopefully they will take care of this also although their responsiveness doesn't seem to be the quickest.
