just want to highlight for this community about our extremely bad experience with J P Concrete Creations, Inc.. we hired them in March this year to stain our outdoor covered patio for about 400 sq ft for a $2200 price . While steep , we decided to go ahead with the job with them however 3 months in the concrete stain is chipping in many places . We requested the business to come repair however Laura was abusive , disrespectful and dismissive. Of our issues . She won't give any ETA to come take a look at the issue let alone address it . Never seen a business owner who would be that disrespeful to customers , not sure how they run a business . For $2200 the work ( see pics ) is substandard and almost poor quality . We regret hiring them and wanted to alert the community on this business and the poor customer service . Very disappointed . Also they ask for cash , no card payments , clearly they are evading taxes . Unethical

I hired the company to repair cracks in my basement floor that were discovered after ripping up the carpet. They agreed to repair any cracks and imperfections with a new over layer of concrete and then smooth it out and shine it. They asked me to share photos from their gallery on what I wanted. They did not repair the cracks, the floors has scratches, dents, nicks and is not smooth at all. I called out the texture the first day they did the job and was met from then on with aggression and the refusal to fix my concerns. They told me my request made no sense. I picked out 3 photos as references from their gallery and they agreed to accommodate, but suggested I go for a mid-shine look versus the high shine as it would be "ice skating rink shiny" and would be hard to upkeep so we agreed to a midlevel gloss/shine. The floor they provided is matte and not smooth and is still cracked, it looks like a painted garage floor vs. a smooth concrete look with shine which was the whole purpose of me paying them (repair and design). They are refusing to communicate or resolve this issue. The owner (husband) came to my home today and I begged for a resolution as did my parents who were both on site with him. He walked out and has refused to communicate since. They have not finished the job and have refused to fix the issues I requested from day 1 of the project (before completion). One of the owners (wife) has personally attacked me on texts and has refused to accommodate my requests. I was willing to have them finish the job and make it like they promised or have them refund enough money so I can have another company update before my household goods and family arrives to the house this upcoming week. They know the time crunch but aren't willing to work this out with me directly.

Jim and Laura are a fantastic team that works collaboratively to help every project succeed. Jim and his helper (sorry, I forgot his name) were awesome and worked very hard for 2 full days. Attention to detail was great. They were very professional and confident in their work -- which I appreciated very much because I was worried the tile would not come up easily. It did -- Jim said "we do this all the time". Working with Laura was a great experience.. she helped me choose colors, gave advice and looked at the pictures I sent and made the suggestion to remove the tile. I had wanted to do that but was afraid it would not be easy and cost too much. It did not cost much more. I am so glad she suggested it. Also, there was no chemical smell. No harsh chemicals. I would highly recommend Jim & Laura to anyone!!

Mr.Peters arrived on time, sealed the work area to prevent dust in other areas of the house. The concrete was grinded and the stain applied. It was step day process and is gorgeous!

We love the work they did, and really enjoyed working with Jim and Laura, as well as the nice gentlemen who worked with Jim. They are outstanding people with an outstanding product and organization. From start to finish, it was an excellent experience. Laura called me back immediately when I made my initial inquiry, and was able to quickly look at our space and provide us with an estimate that day. We were able to schedule the work to be done within 2 weeks. They are so conscientious that Laura even contacted me early in the week when our work was scheduled to see if we would like to have it done a couple of days sooner, since she watched the weather closely and we had a warm sunny period early in the week! We now have a beautiful outdoor room that we are really enjoying, thanks to Jim's amazing creative ability. I cannot say enough nice things about Jim and Laura and J. P. Concrete Creations!! They were a joy to work with and delivered a product that we will enjoy for years to come!

If I could give them a score higher than "A", I would. I can't begin to say how much I appreciated the job that they did for us. I fired our previous contractor . He dragged the job out for 2 months, did a sloppy job, gave me a floor that I didn't want and then continued to no-show me. I was really in a bind with 1/3 of a job completed in our downstairs family room and home theater. I called JP Concrete Creations and Laura called me right back. She listened to my horror story and agreed to come take a look and see if they could salvage any of the previous job. She was very comforting, told me what she thought her husband Jim could do to correct what was there and what he would do in our home theater, which hadn't been worked on yet. I selected the stained concrete in a dark stain and it is beautiful!!!! We moved all of our furniture back into that room and then Jim set about repairing the stain and finish on the other room and the transition between the 2 rooms. Not only did he do a fabulous job and correct the problem, he and Laura ordered a special matte finish for that room and it made a huge difference. I only wish I had called them first and then both rooms would have been done in the beautiful stain that Jim did in our home theater. They were so very kind and we appreciated so much that they we willing to take on someone else's mistakes. They showed up on the day and time they said that they would, their work was immaculate, everything totally cleaned up, and the floor looks fantastic. I'm calling them back to do around our pool and our back patio. We cannot say enough nice things about them!!!

Laura came out to our home, surveyed our project and provided a very fair quote. She was very helpful and personable. Jim came by with his assistant and did a fantastic job prepping and staining our basement floors. He helped us fine tune the color and had many valuable opinions backed by numerous jobs/experience. The job was completed on time and we have absolutely LOVED our new floors. It has transformed our basement, and saved us a huge amount of time with the renovation project. I would without hesitation recommend Jim and Laura for completing your concrete project. More importantly, we enjoyed both Jim and Laura's fantastic personalities. They are wonderful people, who take the time to listen, help and advise. Those qualities are the intangibles that set this company apart from their competition.

Called and left a message. Received a return call within minutes. Laura was very easy to work with and came out within a few days to give an estimate. She gave us some ideas of things we could do to help keep costs down. Once we agreed on a price and scope of work, things moved quickly. The work crew was always very punctual and polite. They kept the work area as clean as possible. There were a few unforeseen problems that added a little to the cost, but they did not nickle and dime us. The finished product is very nice. I'm a little disappointed by how easily the surface scratches, but that's probably my unrealistic expectation. Overall, we are pleased and would recommend this contractor to others.

The entire process from scheduling to completion was outstanding. Upon requesting an estimate, Laura showed up the next day and provided a fair quote. We agreed to the cost quoted and were told the work could begin the next day at 7am and would take two days to complete. Jim showed up the next day exactly when they said he would and took great care to explain the process and get our input. He completed the work exactly as quoted, both in time and cost and the finished product is BEAUTIFUL. Both Laura and Jim were a pleasure to work with and their courtesy and professionalism was greatly appreciated. I would definitely use J P Concrete Creations in the future and would recommend anyone else to do the same.

JP Concrete did a fantastic job on our concrete basement floor. Our house was built in the 60s and had had multiple floor coverings over the years so was not in the best shape. It had glue residue all over it and big chunks missing. They were able to come in and sand it all down and make it look great. There was a little shadowing that came through from the old tile but we were aware that would happen if we did not purchase an overlay. We are very happy and love the custom color work that they did. It looks amazing and we are so happy with it. Would definitely use them again for other rooms down the road.

Out of the 4 companies that I interviewed and received quotes from they gave me the most information about their process and came up with ideas that I never thought about. Laura came out to our home very promptly to look at what we wanted done and gave us a quote that very day. Jim started the work the very next week. Jim is truly an artist and it shows in his work. You will not be disappointed if you choose this company to do any concrete work around your home or office. We will be using them to redo our pool deck as well as the outdoor patio over looking the pool. Jim does the work along with 1 other person who helps demo. None of the work is contracted out. We had gotten estimates on laying stone over our existing concrete (which had no coloring at all - pretty boring). The cost was quite expensive. I did some research online about finishing and coloring existing concrete; I then found the J P Concrete Creations website both by using Google, then checking Angie's List. Their website was extremely helpful and gave us several ideas. I called on a Saturday, and Laura called me back the following day. She understood exactly what we wanted and told me that Jim would be very helpful in choosing the right colors. And she was exactly right...he did an absolutely wonderful job with, not only the color selection, but the job itself. He was very professional, punctual, knowledgeable, considerate, and cleaned up after each day. We could not have had a better experience nor a better outcome. (Through no fault of his own, Jim had to come back to make a small repair. Again, both Jim and Laura were very responsive.) I really can't give this company enough praise for the work that Jim did. We are absolutely delighted with our new patio; to make it even better, the finished product looks just as good as stone - I think better than stone - at under half the cost.

Hard working, Honest, Sweet people!! They do what they say and are incredibly creative and amazing with color. This is not a big company they are family owned and operated which allows them to pay attention to detail.WE were not sure about colors but Jim sure knew he is a color pro!! Jim was always on time worked long days and gave us exactly what we had in mind. They were very affordable and I would highly highly recommend them, they are not the typical contractors they go above and beyond. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

Our finished basement (approximately 440 square feet) had wall-to-wall carpeting over a concrete floor. We live in a low spot in the neighborhood and have had frequent basement flooding. After repeated flooding events causing replacement of carpet, we decided to rip out the carpet altogether and go with a decorative, stained floor. I called JP Concrete in late September, after finding out about them from a review on Angie's List, and scheduled a site visit and estimate. I spoke with Laura, the wife of this husband and wife small business. She came out to our house at the appointed date and time and explained in detail how the project would go and supplied me with an estimate and proposed contract. I took an immediate liking to her (especially appreciated the fact that their products are guaranteed environmentally friendly) and my husband and I thought the quote was reasonable. The project took 3 days and went exactly as proposed. Jim (business owner and Laura's husband) arrived on time at 7:30am the morning of the start of work, and assisted my husband with moving the last piece of furniture out of the basement. The first two days involved grinding the original concrete and taking out cracked old concrete pieces. All trash was hauled off our premises and all finished areas of our basement (like built-in bookcases and TV cabinet) were protected with plastic. The third and last day of project was devoted to staining, sealing and waxing. Jim consulted me on the color of the stain, and at each step in the color process I had the opportunity to to direct how I wanted the color to look. The finished floor is exactly what we wanted. JP Concrete did a wonderful job and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for this type of concrete veneer service.

The business is owned by Jim and Laura Peters. Laura came out to do the original consultation and measurements. We agreed on the scope of work and price and she set the schedule after confirming with her husband, Jim, who would do the work.We went in to the project with some float for price and time to complete the work because we knew there was some creative license here in getting the color and texture right for the floor as well as deciding on what to do with the wall. Jim arrived on time and on schedule and his assistant began the preliminary work of cleaning and preparing the concrete and placing protective paper and tape along the lower edges of the wall. We walked through the areas and discussed the scope of work. This also included using some of the excellent pictures on their website for reference (100+) and listening to his input and experience for obtaining the richness in the color that we wanted. Jim's suggestion on the wall was to put up backerboard and use mortar to apply a texture similar to Venetian Plaster and then work in the color to match. This was the really creative part but we were very comfortable with Jim's ideas and experience and felt that he had a great sense of what we were looking for. The wall began to take shape and yes, it was exactly what we were looking for! It just looks great! After completing the wall, they finished patching the concrete from the carpet strips/tacking. This dried over-night and Jim arrived on time the next day to start on the floor. He sanded down the patching and begin applying the color. Note: he told me that it would produce some dust and I knew that, but I just...brain cramped. Of course when you sand down some concrete patching there is dust. It was localized so if there is stuff close by, just put some light plastic sheeting over it. The color application was another part of the creative process. Jim's expert eye made corrections as he added layers and we could see the transformation and added our input. The floor began to take on color and character that accentuated the natural texture of the concrete. It was really very impressive to watch the entire room begin to look different and come together with the light and wood. Jim would apply the color in layers and then allow them to dry, touch up and add more color as we discussed it. When the color was done, he then added the sealant and a couple of coats of a finishing wax and that was it. We let it cure for 72 hours before putting anything heavy on it though you can walk on it as soon as the wax dries. Rarely does a vendor/contractor get it all right, but for us, Jim got it all right. 1. They were up front about what what they were going to do and the price.2. The price was very fair; I had no complaint and thought it was worth every penny.3. Showed up on time, communicated well and cleaned up.4. Above all else was the quality of the work. Wow! It just looks great and Jim had the ability to see where we wanted to go and add that artistic 'thing' to get us there. Fantastic job, highly recommended.

The project lasted four days. Each day Jim Peters and his crew worked about 10 hours. They were there each day right at 8:00am. There was not as much as a thing out of place, and the entire project went down without a hitch. We could not be more thrilled with the project from start to finish. The results were as amazing as Jim was as a contractor. I do have to say, it was more than we planned on spending, but the results were worth every penny. His wife Laura, went out of her way arranging and scheduling our project before a planned vacation. What a great team. I have been involved with at least 100 contracted projects, and this by far was the most professional, pleasant and painless experience I have ever encountered! The neighbors have been doing the tour, and they all want them to do their yards and driveways too! The only negative, is now the rest of my yard looks like h***, so it has motivated me to do now what I had planned for the spring! All we can say is thank you for such a wonderful experience!
