They removed the vinyl and installed the hardi plank. During the process they found some wood rot around a door frame. They said they would either repair or replace the wood. On the the first punch out walk around we found that they had just painted over rotten wood. They had to frame in around the house to install hardi-plank soffit & fascia. When they did, they cut the boards too big so it caused "valleys" along the roof on all sides. We asked them to fix it since it was ugly and also it would damage the new roof. They told us we were right, it was "aesthetically unpleasing" but wouldn't hurt the roof. Why would we pay $20,000.00 to have it aesthetically unpleasing? Also we knew that it would damage the roof over time. They finally came back and half heartedly repaired it but it still looks terrible. They caulked the hardi-plank and painted the house (2 coats) in about 2 hours. They gave the caulk no time to cure. Now, 5 months later all the joints are coming apart and the whole house looks terrible. Then, on the sunroom it was bare bones when they started. They framed in the ceiling and the line where the ceiling meets the wall looks like ocean waves. They came back 3 times to try to fix it and it's still wavy and now the ceiling pulls away from the trim in several places. They laid our tile floor so terribly that it is so uneven it's hardly safe to walk on. Several of the tiles sound hollow and move when you step on them. There is such a long list of things they did terribly that there is not enough time to write it down. I will publish my address so anyone who wants can come see their handiwork. I just don't want anyone to have to deal with these terribly unprofessional people.
