We recently worked with Luis on multiple projects for our house - deck rebuild and interior house painting. We did our research, obtained multiple quotes for both projects and by far Luis and Dixon Group were the most professional. Luis arrived on time, provided proposals - while on site, communicated and followed up appropriately. We worked with two crews (interior and exterior) and both completed the projects on time and with professional quality. Carlos and his paint crew were exceptional in delivering quality work, cleaned up daily and communicated throughout the entire process. In addition, the scheduling department (Diana) was fantastic in communicating and dealing with delays caused by rain (on deck project) I would highly recommend, Luis and the Dixon group to anyone considering home improvement projects.

Perfect, perfect, perfect! I walk from room to room marveling at the perfect seams between colors and the flawless execution of the job. They finished in half the time---by working long hours to accommodate our schedule. At all times they were professional and respectful of our home. I have never dealt with a contractor which was a better experience. The project manager checked in everyday--even when laid-up by a car accident. They cheerfully competed some extra (small) tasks not on the original contract. They were especially helpful in testing colors and patient as I changed my mind! Their concern was that I was genuinely happy in the end. I am!

Construction took a little longer than commitment due to extraordinarily heavy rain but the final product was an excellent fit, finish and quality. I am EXTREMELY satisfied. And am planning my next project with Dixon.

We needed new gutters in addition to exterior paint, and chose Dixon because they could address both at the same time. We also suspected some rot on the house. Roy, Edgar, and the entire crew were amazing. We would use them again

All aspects of the project are complete and work is EXCELLENT. This is typical Dixon Group quality and craftsmanship. The progress was hampered some by rain but when the weather permitted, thru work progressed to completion. I am very pleased with both the design as well as the construction quality of the project.

They installed a Solar Attic roof fan that I purchased from Costco. All they had to do was remove the old seized-up fan, cap off the power and install the new fan. Found out I got jipped when I finally did some searching and found that I should have only paid $600 if it included an electric fan, and that's on the high side. They sent out a 3 man crew and it took about an hour. They did a professional job but when they initially quoted me $750, I should have come back with $200 or just told them, "Thanks, but no thanks." This job was actually worth maybe $300 to $400 since I already had the fan.

Luis wrote the project up on 9/17. Made a date to send the crew out, then canceled, and sent them out about a week later 9/23 or 9/24. Their work was not up to par from what I expected. They took the wood off, but when they put the hardiplank back on they didn't put them on correctly. Luis told me when he came out initially that layers are supposed to be 7and rdquo; apart, but they are various lengths over 7and rdquo;. Johnny over saw the project. I had a support post at the end of my car port, we had a problem with the support post, thought that they would cut the post and put a 2x4 box in its place. When they came back from lunch, they put the hardiplank in front of the post. Told them that wouldn't't work, but they said they would correct it. I didn't check the work that evening. Then, they gave me something to fill out to tell them how I thought they did, which I gave good feedback about. Then, I looked at what they had done, the hardiplank had nail heads showing. Spoke with Dicet, one of the supervisors, who came out to look at the work, he said that they could correct the mistakes that were made. They took off over a little over half of the hardiplank and then they left, two or three days later they said they would be back out to put them back up. They canceled that appointment. Said they would come out a few days later, but only Luis came with them, they said Dicet was out of town and then they correct some of the mistakes that were made. He put the covers over a little over half of the nail heads that were showing on the car port side of the house, I just let the other side of the house go, because I don't want to deal with it anymore.

Because of my lack of trust in contractors it did not go well at first. After my phone call to Angie's List I approved them to paint the exterior of my home.

They did continue to change the price but we made emends with it. I did get them more jobs in the neighborhood as well. My only suggestion to them is just stick to painting because the sub contracting work was sub par.

We had some issues with the crew not showing up on time and the clean up afterwards. However, once we called the office and expressed our concerns; it was corrected immediately and the staff worked eagerly to make sure we were satisfied. Also, the crew accidently destroyed our Gazebo while replacing our roof but the Dirxon Group had no problem taking it off of the bill. On pricing, they compensated to include repairs that they didn't have to; in order to make sure the pricing was fair.

The job went very well, from providing the estimate to completing the work. They always arrived when expected. They completed the work in the time frame I was given. They did what they promised. It was trouble free - which for me is important. They were all professional. The person who came for the estimate and who gave me the quote was on site when the work began and when the work ended - again important to me. I would use them again.

They did a very good job. I was very pleased.

Our experience with them went really well. We were happy with it. We are actually thinking about calling them to submit on another project. If we had any questions, the main guy that was in-charge was really good at getting back to us. Their prices were good. They were here when they said they would be, and they worked all day until it got dark. We would recommend them.

The work done exceeded my expectations and at times we had an army of people working on the project. Having a larger company that has experts in a given area is worth a few $$$ to know you have people with extensive experience.

They were always on time over the approximately 5-6 day job, and the overall quality of their work was very good. However, as with any company involved in the trades, it is important to monitor what is being done to be sure it is being done within the terms of the contract.

I would recommend them. They do painting, deck, gutters and a lot of everything. I've used them a couple of years ago for house painting. They did a quality job.

GETTING THE ESTIMATE. Called Dixon group on an friend's recommendation after having some difficulty finding a painter who could take on more work. Was surprised to find anyone in the office on a Saturday, estimate appointment was set for Monday at 7pm (they accommodated the fact people work). Bicet was about 5 minutes early. Friendly and professional obviously knowledgeable. We walked the house and then sat in the swing while he walked around the house on his own, took measurements and made notes. Within 15 minutes he had a full detailed estimate of the exact carpentry repairs and total price. The efficiency was impressive. The deal was good enough that I signed off right there. PREP DAY (DAY 1)3 man crew arrived by 8am the next day and went right to work. Pressure washed, scraped, replaced Masonite with concrete board as needed with a profile that matches exactly. Caulking etc. They were still there at almost 9pm - and I do mean the entire crew WORKED - in the blazing hot weather. Crew foreman was there all day and Bicet came by to check on them. They cleaned up before they left. PREP FINISH AND PAINT (Day 2)4 man crew arrived by 8am and right way foreman Isaac asked if I had any questions. The crew seemed to automatically know what to do and got at it. Isaac went to Sherwin Williams to buy the paint colors handed him day before. Was only gone about 40 minutes and apologized for being gone so long. I was surprised he was that fast. I pestered him a little about some areas of concern regarding carpentry. Isaac was patient and listened and promised to take care of it -- and did. As it turns out I kind of jumped the gun not realizing they were not done with carpentry. I left for work and came home to them still working their butts off until almost 9pm. Bicet was checking on the work when I got home PAINT FINISH UP AND SITE CLEAN UP (Day 3)2 man crew today - finished all painting and clean up. They got here about 8am and left around 3pm while I was at work. These guys did the most incredibly good work I have ever seen from any work crew ever in 30+ years of home ownership. Today was supposed to be gutters but the crew was delayed and will come tomorrow. GUTTERS (Day 4) Gutter crew got here around 9am and by noon were done and Bicet had inspected and called me at work. We had some issues coordinating my work schedule so I called him a few minutes ago after I got home then called the office with the card info. I have never - ever - been more pleased with any work crew that has ever come to this house. The original builder of this house wasn't this meticulous. They were friendly, professional and incredibly competent. All of them. I was getting to hate this house because of the maintenance issues. They gave a miracle for a mere $4550

Initially the work stared on a bad note, when the evening prior to showing up, the foreman called to reschedule for 24 hours later. I requested the crew show up on the new scheduled date at 0800 since I had photographers showing up to take pictures for a real estate listing. The team showed up at 1030, 2.5 hours late. After they got started, they worked continuously for 12 hours straight and completed the work for the evening to precision and outstanding quality. The 2nd day, the company sent a finish carpenter to repair the damage done by Chitner Floors to the stairs. The finish carpenter was exceptionally skilled and completed the work in 2 hours completely to my satisfaction. the paint crew worked for approximately 8 hours more and finished the work with great quality. I would definitely hire them again.

They are very efficient and do a good job. The price is very reasonable. We get a frequent flyer mile kind f thing because we do use them. We are going to have them come out and paint our doors again to make them match the rest of the house.

They did a good job. The follow thru and the craftsmanship was good. I had a problem and had to have them come back and repair something and they were really good about that as well. As far as responsiveness goes, I never got a call back on the repair that I mentioned. When I called the guy, basically they send out the sales person, the account manager or whatever. So this guy comes out and he bids the whole job and then when the problem came up, I left him voice messages and he never responded. So it took me a little while to get in touch and I had to call the main office and finally someone came out. So trying to get in touch with them is a problem. They were fine with punctuality. Yes I will use them again in the future.

They seem real nice. Once they got started and did things, they were fine. It took over two months to complete the job. They would schedule appointments and not show up. Sometimes they would just show up without an appointment. There were a lot of excuses. He said he was going to screw the gutters in not nail them because that is when they fall apart. He said all this stuff he was going to do but then he sent these guys out who didn't do what he said they would. They nailed the gutters in. We called them to come back out and fix it. There was a lack of communication. They gave me a good price that I was satisfied with. He hired a new manager for the job and they fixed the job for me. It all worked out in the end.

I found them on Angie's List. Then after I accepted the quote, I got another call from a guy and said he was coming out to get the exact measurements. He came and told me he was going to send it in on Wednesday, and I should hear something in 2 weeks. 3 weeks went by, I heard nothing, so I called back and left numerous messages on the phone. No one returned my call. Finally, I called the owner or manager, he said he got the paperwork last week, and hadn't called me yet. His name is Rick. He said the estimate was short $800. The estimate was $3,600 and the price Rick quoted was $4,400. I told him to cancel the order. The original salesperson called and asked how they could make it up and apologized, I said if Rick will pay $400, I'll pay the other $400. I never heard from them again. Then I got a sales call stating they were doing work in my area and was there anything they could do. I told them not to call me back, as I am on the "National Do Not Call List". However, I got another call. Dixon Home Services is pitiful and unbelievable. I finally went into Home Depot, they came out and measured it, installed it, and everything went great. Dixon gets lower ratings and I would never use them again.

Ian the salesman came over within 2-3 days of my phone call, walked through the house and gave me an estimate within 15 minutes of being done, we discussed this and he worked with me very well since I was using Angies List I did receive the discout and also received another discout because I provided the paint for the rooms. I did go to Sherwin Williams and get the paint to use against their company with payment due upon purchase from me. I had torn up two bedrooms and made them into LR for my husband and I upstairs since all the kids are grown except my disabled son who has a room downstairs, but now has more room in the lower half of house for his use as we use the upstairs more now. I have installed a lot of cedar wood and they were very careful and didn't get any paint on them which is a big thing with me! I will have them back to do more of this house when I'm ready.

The quote process was good. Juan was very easy to converse with, upfront and informative, honest and straightforward (no pressure, just tries to understand what the client wants and then give a fair price). He was also easy to reach on his cell phone before and during the job. Dixon Group did not require any money until the job is complete (this shows they are not a small-time operator, they have confidence in their work, and they will bring the job to full completion before getting paid). The scheduling process could use some improvement - after Juan and I signed the papers to get started I was still subjected to phone-tag with folks in the office (with the obligation on me to call them back - seems like this could all be handled internally, between Juan and the office). The quality of work gets an A-. They used top-quality paint, and even upgraded the paint used on the deck rails upon my after-the-quote request. My project took 5 days, and the actual painting was mostly on the last day - this shows how much time was spent on preparation. The only reason hanging the and quot;-and quot; on their A is because there were just a little too many spots of paint spill/splatter here-and-there on the driveway, on the siding, and some white overspray on a black trailer I have parked under my deck. They also missed several spots of rot on the trim that were only discovered as I walked the house with Juan on the next-to-last day of work. Nevertheless, all things considered they were very good and I would recommend and hire them again.

There customer service is horrible and they do not care about their customers. I called to get an appointment for an estimate. I was told they would be here by 1 pm. He was suppose to be an expert on everything I wanted. 1 pm comes and goes and no one arrives. I call 45 minutes later and ask where he is. They let me know they are running late, and they assured me he would be arriving shortly. I called back and the receptionist was surprised that he hadn't arrived. It took a while, but finally she was able to reach him on his cell phone. He was still with another client doing an estimate. I wanted to speak with someone in management, but they wouldn't allow me to speak with anyone else. After I threatened to report them to the BBB they finally transferred me to someone named Rick. He finally sends someone out at 5 pm. The 2 gentleman seemed to be in a rush to leave. They didn't do any measurements, write anything down, and spoke to me for about 15 minutes. They said I would have an estimate by Monday. It is now Wednesday and I have nothing. I called again and asked to speak with someone in management, but the receptionist said everyone was out in the field. When I asked for a cell phone number she said she couldn't provide that.
