The feeling you get when you know you have been a sucker and have been sold a complete bill of goods. You feel stupid, gullible, naive. And it lasts a long time. It could save you a lot of money and more importantly it could prevent you from feeling like a complete idiot.

Our neighbor had a new chimney cap put on their house in November 2023, and knowing we needed to have the same done, we asked them who they used. They referred us to Atlanta Chimney Doctor. So, we called Atlanta Chimney Doctor owner, Chuck Connor, to inquire about having a new chimney cap installed and having the fireplace panel inserts replaced. He asked when was the last time we had our prefabbed fireplace cleaned, to which I said never. He said he would first need to come out and clean it and inspect it, for the discounted price of $349 since our neighbor had referred him, and I agreed to that. Upon completion of the cleaning and inspecting, we were told that there had been a chimney fire before and that if it were his house he wouldn’t burn a wood fire in it. Chuck recommended we install gas logs, as they would be safe to use. He quoted us $3,421.00 to replace the chimney cap, install gas logs, and replace the back fireplace panel insert, and reattached the side fireplace panels. I agreed and said to move forward and used Venmo to send him a $521.00 deposit on 11/27/23. On 12/11/23 two of Chuck’s workers showed up to do all the work. They were done in less than an hour. Wife wrote them a check for $3,421 and they were gone. When I got home to inspect the work, I noticed that the left side fireplace panel was still not reattached correctly and in fact was not in the left side track. When my wife asked the worker about it, he told her that was normal and that they are supposed to lean in. See attached pictures of the left and right side fireplace panels. In the meantime, Chuck immediately sent us a link via email to give him a great review on Google. I emailed Chuck on 12/12/23 to see if he would come back out to repair/replace the left side panel and he agreed he would. On 12/19/23 he didn’t show back up as his dispatcher said he would, and when I called him, he said he had it on his schedule for 12/28/23 at 4pm. Ok, fine, I’ll see you then. On 12/28/23, no show, no call, nothing. I texted him again on 12/29/23 and said I guess you will reschedule for January. He replied yes, 1/8/24 at 4pm. On 1/8/24, again no show, no call, no text, nothing. I took two vacation days for the 12/28/23 and the 1/8/24 days for nothing. Strike three, I’m done. I texted Chuck on 1/8/24 at 5:46pm basically giving up on him, and his replies to me was "There is nothing wrong with your stupid fireplace you OCD" at 11pm later that night. His replies were totally unprofessional. In short, he got paid and didn’t want to make another trip to our house to make it right. I would definitely not recommend Atlanta Chimney Doctor.

NO SHOW 3 TIMES - called out first two times and rescheduled. NO CALL NO SHOW THIRD TIME. DON’T WASTE YOUE TIME LIKE I DID.

I opted for the Chimney Doctor because another company was going to be about $80 more to inspect two chimneys. TWO TIMES I schedule with this guy Chuck, and he doesn't show up. TWO TIMES! He calls me about a week after the first no-show and says he really wants to get me on the schedule, sings me a song about some type of personal issue that prevented him from showing up at the first appointment, answering my calls or returning my calls. Against my spidey-sense I go ahead a schedule him again. Another no-show and now his number's "temporarily disconnected."

This is a follow up to my previous post - Chuck did contact me a week after he was scheduled to be here. He had apparently had a death in the family. Chuck arrived on the rescheduled date promptly and installed the Chimney Cap. He did good work and I am satisfied with the service he provided.

I gave a deposit for just over half the amount on the work I needed done. When I met him, he seemed very knowledgeable and professional. However, after the first meeting, all other contact has been through text and phone calls. Once I sent him the deposit, he scheduled an appointment for 6/20/2017. I tried to verify the appointment the preceding Friday and Monday, but I just got voicemail. I took the 22nd off work, and could not get ahold of him. I sent him emails and text messages, but I haven't had any contact. After investigating reviews on other sites, this seems to be how he normally conducts business.

Fabricated new cap and installed. Sprayed sealer on masonry. Leak is gone.

Great. Chuck took measurements and installed our new chimney cap about a week or so later.

Collar on furnace exhaust was incorrectly installed. Took approximately 3 months for Atlanta Chimney Doctor to correct problem. In those 3 months water was leaking into my home. Atlanta Chimney Doctor was slow to respond, did not always return phone calls.

No call, no show after two rescheduled appointments to quote previously. Wasted more than a week with this company. Would not recommend. They sound nice but have proven to be unreliable. I've entered a cost here but that is a guess. They never came to quote it.

I very highly recommend Chuck! I wouldn't go anywhere else. He knows his stuff inside and out and not only is he an absolute expert, he also doesn't cost an arm and a leg. He will be able to quickly diagnose your problem and provide you with a remedy you're happy with. If he's coming out to clean your chimney, it will be quicker than you'd think, clean, and efficient. He's a very hard worker. He is a straight-forward guy, so if he recommends something, it means just that: it should be done. He's not the type to rip you off or overcharge. With that in mind, you can wholeheartedly trust him. I strongly recommend you do whatever he says is best! You will be very happy with the outcome.

The job was Fabulous!This man was way cheaper than anyone around.I searched for a company with reliability and honesty and the owner of this company has great passion for his work as he came out and completed everything himself,i highly recommend this company.

After being initially unsatisfied, Chuck contacted me and came to my house to look at the problem and determined that the Pan and Shroud was not installed correctly. He was able to quickly fix the problem and now the chimney no longer leaks. Thank you Chuck for taking care of this problem.

Chuck and hil helper did a great job on both installs. The chimney cap frame was repaired and installed in qiuck order. It looks great. He even made it slightly oversized so that the siding crew coming a few weeks later wouldn't have to touch the new cap to demo the old siding. Chuck is very knowledgable in his craft and personable as well. I have already reccommended him to a coworker for her switch over to gas logs. Thank you Chuck for a job well done.....

The day Chuck was supposed to come nowbody showed up. I called 20-30 times on all the numbers. Next day Mary called and told me that they cut the hole incorrectly. She told me that it is only second time it happened. I asked them to make sure that it wouldn have seams. They brought the top part with a seam in a middle and a caulk over it. If there would an option to upload that I will. When I said that it is not exseptebel Chuck started screaming that I have a contract with your signature. They didn't appliey savor system!! He charged me $700.00 for it I would never recommend that company to anyone. Potential customers beware!!!

Installed new logs and chimney pan with a complimentary cleaning (which I didn't need) and then suggested a shroud to protect from down drafts. Quick turn around and I now have the best chimney in the neighborhood.

Chuck Corner is the owner. The guy was really personable and really friendly. He really knew what he was doing and I didn't feel like he was taking advantage of me. He was on time. His systems was really good. I just felt like he really knew what he was talking about, and it means a lot for the contractor. He is an A, so I would have recommended to Angie's List.

After speaking with the owner who explained the unfortunate sequence of events that occurred on our first missed appt. he assured me I'd receive the services with life time warranty on the cap.

Mr. Conner showed up on time, and was very professional. He cleaned and serviced my fireplace. Changed the gas to wood provided a new gas starter and grate, as well as took the time to explain the inner works. I am very pleased with his service and already referred him to my neighbor.
