They were great. They were fantastic.

Work was performed on time and crew did good job cleaning up. Later I determined that work was not performed properly when roof began to leak in two places causing water damage to facia and soffet.

We have a leak and needed an estimate for repair and length of time for the repair. Academy Roofing was the first to respond and were able to come out and do the estimate immediately. The Repair Tech, Thomas, called me back almost immediately and was at the house within an hour. He was knowledgeable, thorough in his inspection (included pictures), and gave us a very detailed estimate. The very best part is that I didn't feel pressured at any point to make a decision. Academy has my vote based on that point alone! We still have a few more estimates scheduled, but I'm pretty sure we'll be calling Academy back.

The repair tech, Thomas, was knowledgeable and courteous. He quickly determined the roof leak issue and explained exactly what the problem was. He had replacement parts with him and was able to repair the leak on the spot. He also took a thorough look at and gave me an estimate to repair the roof over my sun room which has been continuing to leak after having another small roofing repair company do $500 worth of work only to find out that the work they did not only did not fix the leak but created more costly damage.

Excellent job! From the initial call to the completion of the job, the company was professional and thorough. The work crew completed the job in one day, and did not leave trash behind. A special thanks to Warren, their resident expert. The entire project was overseen by him, beginning with the initial meeting with my insurance company to the follow up after the job was completed. My insurance company came by to look at the work after it was finished, and told me that the roof looked great and the company had done a great job. How often does that happen?

Broken shingles. Stained shingles and our follow ups were not responded to. This happened within 6 months of the roof being put on. **we don't remember exact date of service.

This was the best service ever. Friendly, helpful, and he didn't even charge me for a service call since he felt the work done already would take care of the problem. I was surely worried that there would be all kinds of charges and recommendations for additional work but this was reassuring. Highly recommended for an honest evaluation of a roofing problem and a concern for cost effectiveness.

It went very well. They came out and measured. All the materials were delivered in a timely fashion. The job was completed and cleaned up in a day. We are very pleased with the end product.

The roofers arrived on time. They worked very professional and seem to have fun doing it. Everything was clean up when they finished and I am pleased!!! Thank you!

The end result of the shingle replacement turned out satisfactory, but they did not do what they were supposed to do in regards to associated repaired to gutters and trim. they also filed additional claims to my insurance company long after they filed the completion of the job and accepted payment.

Things went well. They got us a new roof due to hail damage. They were very cooperative, professional and worked as scheduled.

There was an issue about the roof vents, and a pipe was too close to the roof and was punctuated with a roof nail. Both issues were handled and corrected.

They were great. They were polite, cordial and prompt. I appreciated their honesty. They didn't charge us at all. The guy was very polite, nice, professional and he was good. They forgot one of my first appointments with them and I had to call them and check back.

The roof looks fantastic, but there were a few issues. The workers that they brought out did leave some trash from their lunch in the front yard, which was not a big deal. We also picked up no fewer than two dozen roofing nails that had been left behind, which was a much bigger deal. Four of us combed the driveway for a good 15-20 minutes, making sure to pick up every nail. This should have been taken care of by them. They swept with a magnet, but I'm guessing that either they didn't do a thorough job or these fell off the trailer when they pulled away. There were also a few spots where nails on the roof were exposed (not covered by a shingle) and they had to come and patch those areas. They also removed several screws to detach our skylight, and not all of those screws ever made it back on. Finally, they didn't clear all of the unused construction material from our driveway, and it took several weeks to get someone back out to collect all of it. Overall, we got a great price and a nice-looking roof, but it does seem that the adage "you get what you pay for" is true here. More than anything, it was a lack of communication and a feeling that they got 90% done with everything before moving on that keeps me from giving them a high recommendation.

Academy Roofing is an excellent company to provide top notch roofing replacement. The workers are fast and efficient. They started working at 9:00 a.m. and finished at 5:00 p.m.Tarps were used to cover all major outside areas such as the porch, deck, air conditioning unit and bushes. After work was completed, the yard was cleaned of all debris and nails. I greatly appreciated all that this company has done to take care of our roofing needs.

Academy Roofing was honest and extremely reasonable. Other companies wanted $650 to $700 for the repairs. They did two roofs for people I know who were very happy and recommended Academy Roofing. I would also recommend them.

Founder, Warren, came by early and and inspected what needed to be done and gave me a estimate. He then went to home depot to get a few things he needed and fixed the areas around the leakage areas. Very impressed. He was super nice and efficient Also the price was very reasonable.

Completed in one day by an excellent supervised team. Cleaned up (used magnets to find nails). Excellent experience.

I called the company yesterday morning to get someone scheduled to come out for an inspection and quote on our new roof which we know needs replacing. The lady I spoke to said that I would hear back from someone yesterday (I called around 1030am) - I specifically discussed with her that we need someone out as soon as possible as we have a leak and want it replaced as soon as possible, and have out of town guests in. so want to make sure they are ok with coming out without someone being here, and then we can discuss once they have inspected it (we don't need to be here for them to climb on my roof. and I am giving them permission to come without us being here) - a gentleman called today to "schedule" our inspection - he said the earliest he had available was Friday and today is Tuesday - I said that is fine, but we have out of town guests in so can he be here if we are out to lunch or out doing things and we can discuss afterwards - he said he could not do that (although i was told yesterday they could, plus EVERY other roofing company is ok with that) - I don't have time to sit around all day waiting for a roofing company to finally show up and then only inspect the outside/roof. I said well unfortunately I can not commit to being here as I have guests in town, so will just work with another company that can work around my schedule/ estimate my roof without me physcially being here with them at that moment - he said "fine" and hung up. Incredibly unprofessional - I would not reccoment to any friend or family!

It was an insurance claim. They did a good job. They did it in one day. I would use them again.

They are good roofers and they are excellent. They took off the old roof and put a new roof and they were very punctual and they did it in one day. They put a chimney top for us. They were so good. I gave them one of our telephone books with people’s names and addresses in our area so that they could contact people in our neighborhood and that’s how good they were. There was hail damage and we didn’t pay anything. They took us around to other houses to pick out colors. They are very professional and punctual. They do the job in one day. They were very friendly and professional. Their price was comparable to other companies. They quoted a price and our insurance company agreed to it and it was great.

On Wednesday (Jan 27) nobody had contacted me. I called the roof repair department again and was told that 'some repair men will be in later today to pick up your paperwork and they will give you a call'. Another week has gone by and no body called. Stay away from this company... if they can't even make a phone call to schedule an estimate/repair, then they are not capable of doing a good job. I called another major roofing company that I found on Angie's List, got a written estimate within 24 hours and am proceeding with the new company.

They are very busy so things were not perfect. They delivered the shingles, etc before they gave us a quote for the skylight. Then they said it would take a week to quote the skylight so we had them remove the shingles, etc. from the driveway. It then took several weeks before we could get the quote and then have the shingles redelivered. From then on it went smoothly except for the skylight. It proved to be a problem because the attic was so hot to work in and the length of the tube was difficult to handle particularly through our double ceiling. All in all they did a creditable job.

The representative who came to give the estimate was very nice and informative. He answered all my questions and was available over the phone as well to provide any information that I needed. The price was comparatively good.

My painting contractor referred me to Academy Roofing for an estimate to repair the roof of a screened porch with extensive wood rot. Nick Scowley from Academy arrived fifteen minutes late but apologized. I asked him to also look over the main roof, which he quickly observed to be severely damaged from hail. I was very surprised at the extent of the damage when viewed from the roof that was not evident from the ground. Nick met the insurance adjuster a few days later, provided an estimate for repair, and I received a check a few days later. In addition to the covered repairs I requested some upgrades including ridge vents and bathroom vents. I also requested that all work to the roof over the screened porch be coordinated with the painting contractor since they were going to be replacing all siding, soffits, fascia, and trim. My first clue that the work would be substandard was when the materials arrived and some of the plywood panels were extremely warped. I asked one of the crew if they would be able to use those panels in that condition and he said yes. On day two of the repairs, the supervisor showed me water damage to the house from a lack of flashing between the porch roof and the house. I asked why they had not installed any flashing. He said it was because some siding would have to be removed. He was obviously not aware that the siding was coming off anyway and that the installation of flashing was part of the job. Nick even made a sketch of how the flashing was to be done. The paint crew was disappointed in the roof repairs because many of the joists were rotted at the ends and not usable for attaching fascia. Academy also left a half palette of leftover shingles in my driveway for almost two weeks after the job. I have to wonder if I was charged for all of those extra shingles and why there was so much overage. Finally, they never installed the bathroom vents I had requested. I called Academy several times inquiring about the omission of vents, but they would just say that they will have to call me back which they never did.
