These people and their crew were absolute PROFESSIONALS from the initial in home quote with the Owner after he contacted to my search practically before I posted the job quote - thru the last stroke of paint and spotless final clean up! I have NEVER felt such an immediate reassuring confidence in any contractor I've EVER dealt with or likely will again than Five Star Painting. Nothing was missed or messed and the degree of rotten and damaged wood on the house pretty much tripled, once the initial pressure washing treatment revealed them before the repairs, sanding, replacing the rotten places & leaving in their places gracious clean and healthy new wood areas - away from any damaged areas to leach into the repaired areas, sealing and caulking and THEN the painting that was done by men with the steady hands of a Surgeon and paint that surprisingly left no particularly or unpleasant noticeable odor that my nose detected. They showed up on time and worked nothing short of magic on my poor old home in less than 2 full days! CALL them - when you're ready to update the look of your home too! The place is SO much prettier now and the new colourway beautifully updated this ol' dull house like brand new money! Amy was nothing short of amazing in helping me pick out my favorite color pallets that would accent the brickwork, from an emailed old photo of my house that showed her tired ho hummm outdated colours that everyone got 30 odd years ago. WHEN I'm ready to call for an entire interior paint job - I won't call anyone else and if possible will ask for the same crew. The pricing was absolutely fair - especially for the degree of work and materials for the proper repairs that simply had to be done and worth every single penny! They even tolerated me walking around the house with them looking for issues - and even found many more than I was aware of. No one could ask for anything more! In short - don't mess around calling anyone else. If you want first quality workmanship, painting, and repair work done on your house - You can call on Five Star Painting without reservations and you will not be disappointed!

My review is based on a paint project that was done about 2 months ago. I was happy at first that they were eager to help, however, I was under the impression that they use their own people to do the painting but they contract it out. They kept saying "our team" which is implied and didn't mention in the contract or verbally it's contracted out. That is the reason for the low-rating because the first crew that came did an awful job. It took 2 days of less than 8 hours each and a 3rd day where they were only there for less than 2 hours. For a 2400 sq ft, there was only about 2000 sq ft to be painted and to be done that quickly was too good to be true. I also kept getting the excuse that the paint needs to dry for a couple weeks before doing anything to the walls. So my question is, how on earth did they apply a second coat to each room?? I asked that and never got answer if they did a second coat or not. When they sent a new crew to fix what the first crew messed up, it was better. However, the rating is also based on how the project manager overlooked the job after-the-fact and had too many excuses as to why the baseboards were painted the same as the wall color and there was no clean-up and one part of the wall wasn't the correct color. They also painted on some of the light switch plates, not all but some. We also looked at the majority of the bordered areas and they painted those at the corner like we weren't going to notice. They also got paint on the floors and shutters but luckily I was able to peel it right off myself. I am also 90% sure that they didn't add a second coat to the main rooms because that is what was priced in the contract. Way too much paint leftover. After the second crew came out, no follow up call or anything to see if I was finally satisfied. I paid for a professional paint job and that wasn't what I got and was very disappointed. I also don't remember signing off that everything was done to my expectations. I would suggest to Five Star to not rehire the first contractor they sent out to the house. When they first came first thing they said was "here's my card, we do much better and cheaper". I was just astonished as that is just bad work ethic. I didn't mind speaking to the one project manager who scheduled the job but the overseer pm, I was not impressed with and had all different excuses. I wanted to have them come back to do our garage and upstairs if I was satisfied. Even though the issues were fixed in the end, I will not be hiring them back. I shouldn't have had to make several calls/texts and have another crew come out. I shouldn't have had pay them initially for how the job was done because I could have done it myself and wouldn't care if I didn't get it perfect because I am not a professional painter... that's why I needed to hire someone for the "professional" look.also that there onsite project manager said they would be coming around 4pm to send the new crew on a wednesday, 5pm told they were still

*This team got in touch with me immediately. They sent a rep to my home within a week. They got started and finished on time. There are always 'touch-up' areas, and someone took care of all of them in a short, reasonable amount of time. Overall, a good job for a fair price - but perhaps their customer service and communications are what pushes them way above all the other painters I attempted to deal with.

We had a wonderful experience with Five Start from start to finish with having our garage floor prepped and finished with epoxy coating and garage walls painted. All calls and emails were answered promptly and employees made sure any questions were answered and followed up with us throughout the project. Everything was done in a timely manner and we had complete confidence that we would be pleased with the finished product. This company follows the work ethics of my parents and grandparents-top notch.

Great experience with Five Star Painting from the start to the finish. I had my house painted and some wood replaced. Excellent quality and very friendly people throughout the whole project. They don’t sign off on the completion until you’re 100% satisfied and guarantee their work. And, they said if I find anything afterwards, to just give them a call and they would be out to correct it. They’re a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I would recommend Five Star Painting to everyone who needs their house painted.

I was very satisfied with the work that was done on my home. Customer service was really good. There was a problem with a handrail and they are due back today to fix it. The company also said very good things about Home Advisor!

The fellow who runs the business is very good and I was very impressed. The contractors were really the four. Not the one who came out at the beginning. He was really good.

Professional, courteous, helpful, honest crew, clean-up could have been better, but that was my fault for not pointing out. I would definitely hire Five star again AND would recommend them to anyone!!! Thanks to all!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Five Star Painting! Everything from start to finish was easy and smooth. Communication was good and they finished the job right on time. Everyone we had contact with, from the quoter, project manager, scheduler, painter was friendly and easy to deal with. Tavio, our painter, did a great job. Our fresh paint brightens up our home and we couldn't be happier! The price they quoted was the exact price we paid, and I felt was a fair price for the work. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone needing paint work done! They were also able to repair some drywall problems we had prior to painting. It was nice to have one company come in and do it all.

The entire team with Five Star Painting was very professional from the time I called for a quote to the day the job was completed. We have been very pleased with the entire process. I can tell the team that came to complete the job takes pride in what they do, which is appreciated.

An absolute NIGHTMARE! We put our house on the market and needed to spruce it up for a pending sale. We were on a timeline and I was very clear with the company about my expectations. We got an estimate of around $5400 to repair/paint the exterior of the house. I made the deposit and was told that the scheduler would call in a few days to schedule the work. Scheduler never called. Two weeks into this, I had to track down the scheduler. *I should have walked away* Finally, we get the work dates set. The day before work is to begin, the project manager and carpenters show up to assess the materials needed. They determined the estimate was VERY low. After phone calls with the project manager and the owner, I was told that an additional $1800 was needed to do the work “correctly”. We negotiate $1200 instead so I agreed to let the work continue (even though I felt baited) mostly because the owner gave his personal word that the project would be done well and on time. *I should have walked away*. Carpenters show up to replace damages boards/trim and I’m told that the upcoming pressure washing may reveal more damage. NEW project manager shows up after carpentry/pressure washing work to do a color match for the new paint. She was very hurried in her tasks and even though I specifically said that samples needed to be taken from areas not exposed to the sun to get a true color match, I was ignored. *I should have walked away* Siding was not checked after carpentry/power-washing and painters were given the go ahead by the project manager to begin. They painted over the damaged wood using a color that DID NOT match the original house color. *I should have walked away* The project manager showed up the next day for a final walk through and agreed that there was still a significant amount of damage that had not been repaired. She also noted that the paint on one side of the house was “streaked”. When I showed her how “off” the color was (they did not remove the shutters when they painted so the original color was still available/visible), she was speechless. This happened early on a Friday. *I should have walked away* I was told the owner was going to be contacted and I would hear back about a plan of action. On Tuesday, I still hadn’t heard from Five Star so I messaged to say I wanted to terminate our contract. I was not home most of Tuesday and was surprised when my realtor texted to say Five Star was contacting them REPEATEDLY making threats of a lien, threatening to contact our closing attorney, etc. (I had a for sale sign in my front yard with my realtor’s contact information) I was even MORE surprised to pull into my driveway and find the owner and project manager on my property unannounced and pulling at my siding! The owner approached me with a huge smile and cheerful greeting, probably assuming my realtor hadn’t already contacted me. When I confronted them and asked them to leave,

worst experience ever. do not do any business with this company . they offer the world and in exchange you get a cheap job that any regular painter can do.. I paid $2,500 for a job that was rushed done in 11 hours and that is not even worth $500. also terrible customer service..

Excellent customer service at initial estimate and throughout. Regular communication with regular updates. The painters were professional and hard working, even during some intense temperatures. I felt bad for them suffering in this stifling heat. Their attention to detail was amazing. Everything was cleaned up and all trash was hauled away. Very, very pleased with the overall experience.
