used wrong siding on my small exterior wood replacement job. I was aware before I hired Five Star to paint home exterior that the original siding was not available. I was told that a closer match could be made by them buying the siding from a company they use in Griffin GA. The siding would have to be modified to fit I agreed to this. What was used on my house was an improper fit bought from Home Depot and required large amounts of calk to fill gaps. Their response to the complaint I filed with the BBB contained false, misleading, and incorrect information. My impression is that their goal is have you sign on the dotted line. They did not performed the work as discussed. The contract was written using terminology which allowed them to do what they did. Use at your own risk....wished I had used another company.

They are busy, busy. If you want your project to progress smoothly and quickly, communication is key! Talk to the project manager and the workers regarding your expectations.

We have used Five Star for several projects in the last 4 months. They painted our dock, back porch, and garage walls. They also put a latex down on our garage floor that looks fantastic! It looks better than new. Everyone we dealt with, from the owner, the Project Manager, the office staff, and the workmen, have all been polite, punctual and professional. Their prices are very reasonable and they guarantee their work. We couldn't be more satisfied.

They are a great company, on time, quick results, and produce what was expected of the job.

Only one member of the crew spoke a little English and I didn't know he had a translation app until the last day of the job. Also, they could have done a little better clean up afterwards. However, I think they did a very good paint job.

Love the outcome, just had issues working with some of the project through customer service. The painters took a 4 hour lunch instead of 1 hour like we were told. Communication was our biggest issue.

Donâ t trust the estimator, he told us 2 coats of beige would cover our grey walls. We believed him. HA!! Big mistake. Our walls are just 2 shades lighter grey and we are out $769!!! 𠤬. The project manager said they could put another coat of a lighter color but weâ d have to pay for it, didnâ t care at all that I was extremely unhappy

Michael (owner) is a true pleasure to work with. He is honest, fair, and punctual. It was a great experience working with 5-star and we could not be happier with the results. It was everything he assured us it would be. The work is very high quality. The house looks amazing.

Very professional and courteous. Top quality work, very satisfied with the performance and work. There was an issue with timing and a couple appointments were missed without notification. Over all excellent work.

More expensive than competitors, but well worth it in the quality of the work

Professional, courteous and competent. The crew did top notch work and in a timely manner. Very pleased with the paint removal from our concrete patio floor and the sealing they did to finish it. They also cleaned and painted the deck around our pool.

They did an excellent job. I plan on getting the inside painted later in the year and will give them the job.

Our deck was in excellent condition structurally, but in need of a redo of the stain and protective coating. We made a huge mistake in hiring Five Star Painting to do the job. The owner/manager outlined the job (1) Apply stripper (2) Power wash (3) Apply new stain/sealer. The first three appointments were a no-show. No one came, and no phone call with an explanation. It gets worse. Finally, a two person crew arrived to apply the stripper. The two workers acted surprised that the chemical was not dissolving the old coating, but instead was creating a curdled mess. In addition they applied the chemical to an external door knob, metal door threshold, and two rain gutter downspouts with resulting permanent damage. After a failed attempt to pressure wash the curdled stain and stripper from the deck they expressed their frustration packed up their equipment and left. A second crew, of one, was sent the next day to apply a different chemical, and then power wash with a much more powerful pressure washer. The employee caused considerable damage to the deck boards and supporting timbers with a very forceful power washing (and a too strong chemical ??). The project manager made light of the damage and wanted to send a sanding crew to repair the damage and prepare the deck for staining. At this point we declined to allow any more of this company's incompetent employees to work on our deck. They were obviously poorly trained, if trained at all. The second crew also left our carport flooded with a few inches of standing water after completing the damaging pressure washing, he then went off and left it for us to clean up. The owner/manager called and urged us to continue the project, and when we declined he became very rude and angry. The damage to our deck has been confirmed by two companies that build/stain decks. One stated it angered him to see the damage Five Star Painting did to our deck. While we are the ones that gave the cease and desist order, we are appalled at the lack of follow-up, either apologetically or financially from this unreliable and incompetent company. A regrettable choice that maybe others can learn from.

They are ok to work with.

The Estimator Jesse Edwards was very professional and thorough. The project was to resurface a large deck. The paint crew Gabriella, Geraldo and Monroe were not very good painters in my opinion. Lots of visible brush strokes and globs of paint between deck boards. Attempt to correct this was somewhat made. The project manager (Kip Cannon) did not seem particularly concerned about the substandard work. He seemed rushed to complete job in one day. Instead of two coats as promised, the Project Manager said they just put on a heavier coat. I would still try this company again but would insist on a top-notch crew.

Others came in less expensive, but these folks use a minimum of 2 coats of high grade Sherwin Williams paint. Others used lesser paint and fewer coats. In one room they painted 4 times - plus the primer - to make sure there was no bleed through. All the same price. Loved the comittment to make sure the job looked great.

They removed popcorn ceilings, skimmed them and painted ceilings and walls.
