Synmar & Castech

This is the company that the contractor, who remodeled our master bathroom, used. I do not know what relationship the contractor had with this company, but we did not find them helpful. The woman we dealt with was not helpful in terms of costs and would not send us pictures via email even though we were told that there were pictures we could view and it was not a problem. Her standard response was I have been advised not to discuss or quote prices. This was her response to questions that had nothing to do with price or cost. As for the quality of the marble product, we found it only fair as there were some imperfections. For what we were charged we expected much better. We would not use this company again even if there was no other supplier in the area. We would just use different materials.

After extensive research i decided to use Synmar Cast Marble for my counter top. Ease of maintenance was really the deciding factor over quartz as the stone required cutting for sinks which left edges more difficult to keep clean. I also liked the simple smooth lines from a design aspect. Taylor worked with me throughout selection and final design details. Scheduling the in-home measuring and installation went smoothly. I was very happy with both the final product and excellent service.

Synmar did a beautiful job! The top is mostly white, with rivers of tan running through it. The accent color is clear and well-distributed to look beautiful and natural. It's the next best thing to real marble. The fabricator obviously takes pride in his work, as he put his initials on the top (in easy to remove wax pencil). Synmar's earth-tone palette is unique - your counter top won't look like everyone else's. They produced the product on time, with no flaws. Unfortunately, Lowe's staff ignored the written and pictorial instructions on how to store the countertop, so the first one we received was warped (had been stored too long at Lowe's). Lowe's bought us a new one. I include this detail to say: the second one was every bit as beautiful as the first. Their product is consistent in its high quality.

They are very cheap and have a great quality of product and craftsmanship. We love our counters and they were great at the showroom. They helped us with everything and answered all of our questions. They were polite and when they came to install the counter they were on time and very neat. They only charge $20 a square foot, so they are extremely low in terms of price. We really like how helpful they were to us.
