This team did a great job of putting the exclusion in place. Now that we are selling our home 6 years later, the rodent/pest inspector for the Buyer told me that not only could he tell there was exclusion work done, but he said "whoever did the exclusion work did an excellent job". This was someone from one of the national brands of exterminators.

Seven chipmunks removed for $350 and relocated to owners property. FYI, Cost to purchases cages at ace hardware $19.99. Please ensure you know how to open cages as I was reprimanded for setting a bird free and not informed ahead of time how to open cage. Ask in advance when your last day of service will be because cages were removed and tech left without communicating (via text or voicemail) that service had ended. Owner does not take well to constructive criticism and will text customer back and forth (tit for tat) instead of listening to customers feedback. My recommendations would be to understand how to open and close cage Incase a bird gets trapped. Know when your last day of trapping will be. Ensure you communicate with techs verbally or by text msg, as they will just leave a message that they are coming with no detailed info. While I am happy that the animals were relocated to the owners property, I would have liked to have more info on end date as well as how to open traps ahead of time. There is still a possum and a chipmunk in our back yard and we will be purchasing cages for $19.99 instead of paying $350 for their removal. This was definitely a costly learning experience.

Response from SOUTHERN WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT LLC
Hi. I am deeply sorry to that you rated us as a "F". After reading the multiple reviews it is confusing as to where we fell short. You hired us to trap for one week (5 visits) at the rate of $350 for the week which includes daily trap checks. Your said there was 5-6 chipmunks that you wanted relocated. We trapped 7 . We even gave an extra day for FREE. We called every single day when the tech was in route letting you know when we were arriving. Although we had dozens of text messages and countless conversations with you, we disappointed you with our communication. In our text messages, I have been addressing every concern that you have raised. I am deeply sorry if it came across via text any way other than concerned, passionate and professional. That was not my intention by any means. This is our livelihood and I assured you that it deeply affected each of us. We ask every single client in advance not to walk around checking the traps to see if we caught anything (this puts the animals on guard) and not to tamper with the traps. It is in writing on the invoice. We check our traps every single day and there is no need for you to check or touch them. We found traps moved and one door broken from being forced opened. As for our performance, all feedback is a learning & growth opportunity. We have reviewed how we dealt with your specific situation and we honestly would not change anything. We provided many phone calls, dozens of texts before & after hours, fantastic trapping results, affordable prices, and ethical treatment for the animals. In spite of your bad review.... we seriously wish you & your family a happy and healthy future.

Paid $450 to have noises in the attic go way. The company came out and set a couple raccoon and squirrel traps outside the house and caught just 1 squirrel during that time. I asked on more than one occasion that traps be placed in the attic with a round about answer. Long story short, traps never placed in attic. I also requested from two separate individuals a quote to patch the hole the squirrels chewed, as well as a quote for full exclusion. I never received responses and continue to hear squirrels running around in the attic to this day. If you are considering this company, I would encourage you to look elsewhere. There are a number of companies out there with superior customer service and warranties on their products.

Hi [Member Name Removed]. We are deeply sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the service that we provided. You hired us for raccoon trapping which is done outside. We found squirrel signs and set traps for squirrels & raccoons. We even had traps on your roof right by the holes that were torn into your shingles and soffit. After we caught one we were told there were no noises heard for days. The tech explained that the immense damage done (photos provided to you) was done by raccoons but the tech felt it was squirrels utilizing the raccoon holes. As for us being non-responsive, I checked our call logs and there wasn't a missed phone call from you during that period. I am concerned that you were not calling the correct number. If for any reason you were texting or calling the cellphone of the original Tech (partner) who started your job and not the main office number that would explain the lack of response. You probably were told the reason we switched techs is that he was in the hospital with the flu that turned into Pneumonia and his phone was turned off. Let me tell you with him being in the hospital none of us were operating at 100%. We had one person that was not inflicted with the flu. By the time you get this response, I would think that the problem has since been resolved. If not please call our office number to discuss options. We are here. Let's see what we can do.

I called them and they answered the phone promptly. I told them my issue and he explained pricing, etc. I wanted it done today, but he said he could come first thing in the morning. But, then he said maybe I can move some things around and said he would call back. Called back immediately and said he could come. I went in the room and grabbed the trash and realized the bottom of my trash is what smelled. Yep, I called back and didn't use them since I solved my own problem. BUT, I would certainly use them in the future. Prompt, professional and accommodating. I also believe their pricing is spot on!

This company was highly professional, responsive, and interested in providing good service to us - AND - to take care of the animals in an ethical way. They also educated us about the squirrels and shared that knowledge with youngsters in the neighborhood. They provided excellent service and quality materials in the exclusion process and worked carefully to close every nook and cranny in the house. We would use them again and highly recommend them to others.

I had a dead animal behind a wall. The smell was intense. I knew about where it was. He used a flexible camera to look inside the wall making only a very small hole. He found the carcass and removed it and all the contaminated insulation. He disinfected the area after he was done. He did a good job and was on time.

I found a yellow jacket nest inside the wood siding of my house during a roofing project. Not knowing how big or exactly where, I decided to have a professional remove the nest. I called several companies. I decided to go with one who could remove the nest instead of trying to inject chemicals into the hole where they yellow jackets were entering. The crew that came to my house were fantastic. Completely understood the situation, had a plan, and completed the work quickly without the use of chemicals. I couldn't be happier!

Southern Wildlife Management is a superb company! They are reliable, reasonably priced and absolutely committed to taking care of you. I feel like I am part of their family already. They were punctual and do great work. They also noticed a few problems areas in our home that I hadn?t noticed and told me about them even though it wasn't issues that they could be contracted to solve. I highly recommend to them. They came out same day I called, looked over everything and gave me a very reasonable quote. They did the initial work then came back after August 15th when the flightless young would be out of the attic. They even worked with another contractor (who wasn't as good as them) to coordinate the work on the home.

We had a poisonous copperhead who had decided to take up residence in our yard. Luckily for us, the weather was nice and when it was still hanging out in the same area the next day I started calling around to have someone remove it. Southern Wildlife Management was the third company we called (at the recommendation of the first guy we contacted who couldn't help us that day) and Richard was able to make it out within a couple hours and remove it. They are a very professional company and kept in constant contact with me (I was at work trying to get everything arranged while my nanny was at home) and let me know exactly when to expect them, who would be coming to my house and followed up with me when the job was done. The price was exactly what they had quoted me and Verron even sent me a picture of the copperhead afterwards. They seem very knowledgable and I would not hesitate to use them again.

We kept periodically hearing an owl hooting to what we initially thought was very close to a window at the rear of our home. After a day or two and in an early Saturday morning we realized the owl was in our chimney. We called at least 8 pest control companies, the Audobon society and city animal control and did not receive even one call back. Finally on Sunday morning the idea struck to Google search "wildlife trapping" and Southern Wildlife Management's name and number came up. We dialed and got a very unique recording that started out with the usual "you have reached...."but continued by saying "shortly you will be connected live to one of our associates, so please don't hang up while we dial and connect you". Sure enough the owner, Verron, answered and could not have been more helpful. She took a phone assessment, fully explained the charge and said they would have a crew to our home within the hour. Promptly an hour later, two men arrived. They gloved up, carefully opened the chimney flue part way and the scared bowl rose a couple feet up into the firebox, but could not shimmy itself up the narrow flue to escape. For the next 30 or 40 minutes the two men worked in tandem with their hands and instruments, attempting to free Mr. Owl. After several futile attempts one of the men went to their company truck and returned with a "shepherd hook". Carefully placing the hook over the owls wing he was able to bring the owl down to the flue opening so his co-worker could get his hands around the owl. Doing so, he then placed the owl in a cage in front of our eyes. Next they went outside and did an "assessment" of the owl's health. In phone consultation with Verron they determined that our friend did not need rehab and could be released back into the wild from our deck. Watching this magnificent creature fly out of the cage and be reunited with its waiting mate in a nearby tree was a true joy. Simply put-- Southern Wildlife Management answered immediately, did all they said they would do and were prompt, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. There is no need to call anyone else !

The experience with Southern Wildlife was very easy and pleasant. I had been on the phone for a good 45 minutes trying to get someone to help. I did not feel I could ignore this and let this rather large snapping turtle find its way on to someone elses property. There are children and animals where I live and I did not want to take a chance on them stumbling across it and getting hurt. I called the City, Animal Control, DNR and so forth and while everyone was very nice the bottomline was that they said they don't deal with such matters and they kept referring me to others. Some showed more concern about the turtle than the possible harm that it might cause to people or pets. One sent me a list of approved. licensed contractors that I could reach out. This was very frustrating. Southern Wildlife (a licensed State contractor) answered their phone immediately. They said that they had someone already in the area but they would call me back in two minutes to confirm. They called me right back and within 10 minutes someone from their company had arrived and removed the turtle for relocation. The turtle wasn't hurt and neither was person or pet in my subdivision. They were very nice and handled the matter effortlessly.
Description of Work: A very large snapping turtle (the shell by itself was approximately 12 inches) had found its way on to my property. Southern Wildlife safely retrieved the turtle and relocated it to an area where it could not hurt anyone.

Wow and WOW and Double WOW! They saved Gracie- our neighborhood Goose! I can't say enough good things about Southern Wildlife Management (SWM). After calling around to different companies for 5 days, my husband finally had a suggestion to call this company. I wish we had known about them earlier. We called them and they came out the very next day (on time) and were able to capture a goose (I have named her Gracie) that had a broken wing. She had a gander with her, that I named George, and he was protecting her and would hiss at anyone trying to get close to Gracie. So, we needed to call in the professionals! The 2 guys that came out to help - captured her- they were fearless and were the most caring and loving animal rescue guys ever! They transported Gracie to the vet and then gave us daily updates on Gracie's progress- surgery, post op...everything! We can't wait to re-unite Gracie with her life long love, George! Thanks to SWM, they will be reunited soon! This is a stellar company!

This company and everyone that works there are wonderful to work with. Extremely professional. You would feel comfortable with the guys coming in and out of your house. They are NOT some backwoods people that might make you uncomfortable. Very knowledgeable. The traps are checked everyday. They don't kill the animals. They are released back into the wild. They can trap the animals and cap off the attic so those critters do not get back in. The construction to cap off the attic looked great. One of the gentleman even rescued 2 baby squirrels in my back yard. He was sitting up in a tree getting bitten by ants and rescued these babies and then rehabilitated them to be released back into the wild. I would highly recommend their services.
Description of Work: We had them come trap animals in our yard/attic and decided to have them 'cap' off the attic so we would not get any more animals in the attic.
