Description of Work: We used Chapman Fence & Pool for the installation of an above ground pool. They estimated the job would take 2 days and they were there for a week. We got the impression they had never installed an above ground pool before. They installed the liner incorrectly and it had numerous creases in it. The company from which we purchased the pool kit came out and took a look, and advised the liner was installed incorrectly. We had to empty the pool for Chapman to re-install the liner, and then had to refill the pool at a cost of about $300 for water. In agreement with the pool kit sales company and Chapman, we all agreed the $300 would be deducted from the amount due Chapman. We would have been satisfied with that, but after we paid the final bill Chapman came back saying the price for the installation was more than they quoted, and we still owed them money! Needless to say, we did not pay them the additional money. Stay away from these scam artists!

+ -1 moreIf you like being lied to, you will LOVE dealing with Chapman Fence Company!!! I have NEVER been lied to so much by any company that I have ever dealt with, that is supposed to be a Professional installer of ANYTHING! The owner lied to us from day one after we signed a contract with his company. It took FIVE months to get a job done that was promised in one month. He blamed the weather, he blamed his powder coater, he blamed our computer, he blamed his supplier/s, he blamed everyone he could. We found out that all of his excuses were just more lies. After his company finally installed the gate and fence, the gate would not work as he had said that it would. We finally figured out that he had NO IDEA how it was supposed to work! We was told that we had to hire an "IT" guy (at our expense) to get it working. The IT guy found out that the 300 cards that he had provided to us were not compatible with the equipment that he had sold us. When we called the company that makes the equipment we was told that he had not ordered any cards from them in over a year! Where did he get our cards??? The owner of Chapman Fence Company refused to refund our money for the worthless cards unless we released him from all liability regarding our fence and gate that still did not work properly. I/we will NEVER deal with this man or any company that he is associated with. YOU SHOULD NEVER DEAL WITH THEM EITHER!!!
