Mr. Carlisle was professional and yet very personable. He pointed out what was good about the house and what needed attention. He wrote a detailed report that we could use to determine what needed to be repaired prior to our buying the house. He cautioned us in the report to "budget for a new roof" and "budget for a heating system"as both of these were quite old. In fact, the roof had leaks that needed immediate attention. The report was given us in a typed form and within a day or two. Unfortunately there were some expensive items that needed repair and the seller refused to take off sufficient money from the sales price for us to address the repairs so we backed out of the sale. Even though we paid for an inspection on a house we did not buy, it was money well spent because it prevented us from buying a house that would have immediately needed some expensive work that was really the seller's responsibility. Next time we find a house we are serious about, we will call on Mr. Carlisle again.
