Working with the folks at Timberland was a real pleasure. We had a dream and they made it happen. The finished product is the centerpiece of our home. The quality and craftsmanship are phenomenal. We have bookcases, storage cabinets, a lighted curio unit, a fireplace and entertainment center in this unit. The room has cathedral ceilings so the entire unit was capped and looks awesome from upstairs. If you want to add custom quality to your home, you owe it to yourself to talk to these folks. You can't even come close with store bought "stuff".

The short review- without hesitation, one of the best decisions we ever made regarding a skilled trade for work on updating our home. Timberland helped put our dream and vision together in the most professional manner from start to finish. This was over an 18 month period- the service, the shared wisdom, the ease of contact, and fair pricing never wavered! The long review follows. We started a whole house renovation and extensive addition. This was our third full residence renovation and you learn quite a bit going through the process each time. It also has helped that we have several family members that have gone through this process (out of state) and you learn a lot more by hearing other people's first hand experiences of the good and bad. Our home is in a historic neighborhood and was built in 1925. When we were doing the research for cabinetry, we looked at semi-custom cabinetry- from the likes of Kraftmaid and Merillat, and some others, along with a handful of other custom cabinet makers in the southeast region and some custom national providers. We ended up going with Timberland Cabinets, http://www.timberlandcabinets.net/ just north of Atlanta. We spoke to multiple references, saw their work firsthand, and visited their location, just a short drive north of Atlanta. Loreto Tari and David DiCristina, of Timberland Cabinets, my architect and contractor, along with our extensive 'Type-A' review of thousands of pictures from www.houzz.com along with insightful guidance from Gardenweb's kitchen and bathroom forum- http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/kitchbath/ helped make our house, our dream home. No matter what we asked Timberland to do, they could, no matter what we showed them a picture of- they could build it. They made cabinetry out of cherry and mahogany- beautifully stained- beautifully finished, they made cabinetry out of maple, gorgeously painted- butter smooth and richness abounds. They made an amazing custom walnut farm table, that required 4 of their men to carry it into our house. If you can dream it, their craftsmen can make it. Custom medicine cabinets, extra deep, with electrcal outlets inside- a clean bathroom countertop- and shavers and toothbrushers charging out of sight- priceless. Hidden slide out step stools built into the children's vanity base molding- priceless. Inset cabinets (thank you gardenweb / houzz), kitchen drawers laid out to house all the various kitchen utensils, to keep counters clutter free- priceless! A beautiful library with crown and base molding and an amazing fireplace mantel, all out of a deep rich stained mahogany- Authentic. Bottom line- amazing custom cabinetry, at pricing that was comparable to semi-custom big box quotes or semi-custom stand alone cabinet sellers, with top notch service and all the fees went to support craftsmen in the local Georgia area, not overseas. Every time we sit down at our kitchen table and break bread, the feeling of supporting other family's in the region is much more satisfying than paying some furniture store for a table or cabinet that they sourced overseas and came to the USA on a freight tanker- priceless. Many Thanks!

For a custom cabinet I needed to house a sentimental item, Timberland again came through on a beautiful piece, helping me design what I needed and resulting in a beautiful, quality piece of custom furniture. Timberland Cabinets did top-notch work on my kitchen cabinets and helped me with the overall kitchen design as well, resulting in a beautiful and much more functional space.
Description of Work: They did work first in 2010, and again in 2012. In 2010, Timberland built new custom kitchen cabinets. In 2012, Timberland built a custom cabinet. The cost of the cabinets was about $9,000 and the cost of the custom cabinet was about $1,000, though worth much more.

We contacted them and met with David DiCristina at our new house. Since we had already decided on what we wanted I was very happy that he actually listened to us and didn't try to "show off his expertise" by picking our ideas apart. And to be honest he made some suggestions that we hadn't thought about that was eventually incorporated into our plan too. I was also very impressed that he brought everything to us. And even though they have a showroom he didn't push us to take time out of our schedule to drive there to do all the selections and paperwork. I think it was about 2 months later before the pre-arranged time to install everything came, but when it did they were right there. With the exception of one cabinet that had a scratch or something it was all installed the first day. The second day they brought back the new cabinet and finished putting on all the trim. Me and my husband are very happy with the way it all turned out. I'm sure we could have gotten our cabinets put in for a little less but for the quality of cabinet and absolutely trouble free experience we received there is no way I would change anything.
Description of Work: New Cabinets were installed in our kitchen and Bathrooms. We also has them build all the cabinets in our library along with the desk in our office.
