Al Couch is a liar, a con man and a thief. He should be avoided.

Had a prescheduled appointment and he never showed up. Did not return calls nor did he reach out to explain or apologize. Cannot recommend.

He came and gave an estimate and told me he could start on it the weekend after the 4th of July. I texted him several times and no response. I called him from my huabands phone and he answered and told me what material i needed and that he could do it the following Thurs - Sun. I texted him to touch base and see what time he was coming and he told me he didnt give me a day that he could do it. I hung up and a few minutes later i texted him and told him ididnt need his service i would find someone else and he didnt even respond to that.

Like many of you,I have not had a good experience with contractors or handyman services for last 30 years of home ownership. I was pleasantly surprised to meet Al, who was professional, prompt, and explained all the options of every repair. He is both an excellent craftsman and a extremely friendly person - how unusual is that? He repaired doors and windows that were poorly serviced by another handyman service less than 1 month ago, along with new repairs on rotten wood on the roof. I have since hired Al for complete exterior and interior painting of the house. He is on time everyday, and always lets me know each stages of services he is performing. He cleans up completely after his work (better than I can). I cannot praise him enough. You will not be disappointed to have Al as your handyman.
