This was my first time using Hometown Electric, and was very impressed, from start to finish. I'm actually using them again today, and plan to use them for ALL of my electrical needs, going forward. Troy, in customer service, is always very polite, professional, and helpful on the phone, and Levi and David were terrific in working together to fulfill both of my requests. They're both very knowledgeable, informative, professional, polite, and sweet as sugar! I wanted my overhead, fluorescent kitchen light rewired as a dimmable set-up, and a new doorbell installed to replace one that was nonfunctional. I am VERY happy with both the results and the cost of both projects, Thank you, Home Town Electric!

I was amazed at how quickly they responded to my request for services. I had Levi scheduled to perform the transformer install within an hour. And because of an emergency that had us re-schedule for the following day there was no problem. Work completed in less than an hour and the technician was very polite and answered all my questions. Would highly recommend them, and will absolutely use their services again. :)

Hired Hometown in Sept 2020 to install a floor outlet and eliminate low hum in canned lights on a dimmer; Troy Lavendar performed the service. No issues with installation of new floor outlet into the wood floor in the desired location, although we would have preferred the outlet to be inset into the floor and not rest above it (he had basement access). As for the low hum, Troy indicated an incandescent dimmer was at fault. He replaced the dimmer with a new LED Lutron dimmer switch. The low hum remained. He then recommended replacing the 8 canned lights. We declined to replace the canned lights (which are not even 2 years old), and he charged us $168 for the dimmer switch he replaced. After he left, we were NOT HAPPY to find that the original Lutron dimmer WAS indeed an LED dimmer (we always ask to dispose of parts ourselves), and in fact, the new dimmer was the same exact model as the one he replaced it with. Either he did not know any better or felt he could score a larger job by recommending replacement of the cans. We believe the latter was the case. The total cost of this job was almost $600. We will not use Hometown again.

The lights work. It only cost me an arm, a leg, and my first born.

The electrician was very knowledgeable and suggested improvements to fuse box.

Professional and quick work completed. They donâ t do drywall repair work in case anyone wishes to move a light fixture.
