Liberty SmallEngine Repair

On the morning of 8/18 I dropped off 2 lawn mowers for repair. The first item is the huge Rottweiler sitting in the door it is very sweet but intimidating once in the shop he rubbed all over almost knocking me down as he walked between my legs. I was asked what was wrong with the mowers I was dropping off and given a receipt no estimate of cost or time to repair. I then asked outside as we were going to unload the mowers about cost and was given an hourly rate. There was no clarification on the cost to estimate what the repair would entail no how many hours that would be, at $65 an hour this should be something that is explained and also maybe if there would be an estimate or what. I then asked how long it would take, as I needed the mowers back on Friday. I was told they would try to get them done by Friday. My husband called later in the day and was told by the other man that was in the shop that it would e Friday or Saturday before they looked at it. I went back to pick up the lawn mowers as I needed them done sooner and was told by the man running the shop my husband was very blunt and said we would be picking up the mowers " and now he's gonna get a charge for that" I had no problem paying them for loading and unloading the mowers but, I fee for someone being upset as they were lied to. I guess if I knew I was going to be charged for this I wouldn't have had my son help push the mowers and carry one of their ramps. All in all very unprofessional shop.

The lawn mower was dropped off for carburetor near the end of june. They called and I picked up a couple days later ($65.00). I took it home and it didn't perform well. I took it back on July 2nd. I stopped in twice in weeks to follow fearing that I missed a call to pick it up and was told it hadn't been worked on yet. Finally I picked it up on July 26th ($45.00). It still hadn't been worked on and the owner tried to convince me that he told me he ordered a carburetor for it, and was waiting on it to arrive. They had to dig it out of the pile of mowers they had in a fenced in area which wasn't covered so all mowers are stored outside while waiting to be repaired. I took it to another repair shop and he fixed it in front of me in 30 minutes (behind the Allenhurst post office). I took it home and mowed for 2.5 hrs. At some point during the same time frame, he failed to repair a weedeater for me ($35.00).
