Customer service is HORRIBLE. I routinely get hung up on and placed on 10 minute holds. I had to argue with them for an hour to reduce service after they put me on a 2-year contract (without my approval) that increased in price each month until my bills were $240 each month. Comcast's cable service was reliable, although I found little to watch, even with 600 channels. I moved here from out of state and the cable programming was much better in the city where I used to live. Internet was intermittent and slow and I found out after paying for top tier internet (105mbps) for over a year that they did not even have the infrastructure/cable capable of providing that speed to my house. The necessary upgrades were made this summer and I only found out because a technician on his way out to my house to see why my internet was so slow stopped to talk to the workmen laying the new cable. Unfortunately, Comcast provides the best quality internet in Hinesville so I'm stuck with them for now. As soon as another option becomes available, I'll be switching.

Description of Work: Little to no attempt to fix our connection problems, which have been getting progressively worse over the past 2-3 months. Technicians have been out several times and have tried all kinds of things to resolve the issues, but the problem is obviously not in our office. It is somewhere within the Comcast system, and external to our office. We are constantly dropping calls, and have intermittent internet service. We have been extremely dissatisfied with the results from Comcast so far.

Lines to house were bad. New lines were laid across the road. Took Comcast 4 months to come back and run lines properly underneath the road. Trying to deal with issues is terrible. Customer service is horrible. Contract was $29.00 each month for a year. They decided to raise my rates to $44.00 a month. Charged me for service calls when they failed to properly install cable in the first place. I never requested an upgrade. Finally cancelled the service. They are terrible.

Description of Work: We just moved to St. Simons and were informed that the only real choice for TV and Internet was Comcast, so we had them come and install equipment. The installation was wrong. They came out 4 days later and corrected the specific problem, but the installation was sloppy. The quality of the TV reception is awful! Channels listed in the Comcast/Xfinity guide as HD are not HD. Also, the picture doesn't fill the entire screen; it is a little narrow strip. Prior to moving here, we had been Direct TV customers for 15 years. The difference in the high quality of Direct TV and the unbelievably low quality of Comcast is like night and day. If there was another viable alternative, we would certainly take it.

Every month I noticed my bill was getting bigger and bigger. I called asking why my payments were going up so much if I wasn't making any long distance phone calls or buying ppv movies. Customer service tried to explain why it was adding up but none of her numbers were adding up. Comcast has always been a pain for me. Power outages, service outages. The woman started laughing at me when I said her numbers dont add up. Comcast clearly doesn't care if they provide a quality service, all they care about is whether you pay on time. Paying almost $200 a month to them you would think they would be concerned about the quality of service they provide. Instead they laugh at you when you say your going to discontinue their services.
