WOMEN BEWARE Do keep close eye on him, you have to stand your ground, may have to get another man to deal with him. Don't let him do any major construction, don't believe the " I have 23+ years, 3rd generation experience". Women be ware, we are easy targets for him to take advantage of.
Description of Work: 1st Customer - This is related to Mark Baker. He installed a room to the back of my house and carport. The roof leaks, paint chipped, water leaks from the floor (floor below grade), paid for new door old dented doors installed. Charged alot higher then quoted. Kept my driveway blocked and cluttered. Would not listen to any of my concerns during the building process but would say things are fine or he was going to take care of it. Had to get a man to talk to him becuase he would not return my calls. Spent $45,000.00 for a room that cannot be used. Other contractors want to knock down entire room and star 2nd Customer - Mark Baker dba MDB Renovations aka HiMarks Inspec. & Consult. was contracted to do basic remodeling to my home in 2008. He was given full access to an empty home (not yet occupied). Between 22 Dec 2008 and 15 January 2009, he did not complete projects as requested or in the time frame promised. All supplies to complete projects were purchased by buyer. Mr. Baker received ~ $10,000 for substandard work (sloppy amateur painting throughout home, tacky drywall patching, leaky kitchen sink, leaking bathroom vanity, paint droplets on floors, cabinets, walls, etc). He would not return my numerous telephone calls. Complaint was submitted to BBB - unresolved. Mr. Baker and Company was taken to court - women BEWARE of the 'good ole boy' system. I found out (he posted a note and it was erroneously given to me when I retrieved my evidence from the Court) that he was working on another job for a well know judge in the community when he was supposed to be completing my projects. {Photos are available upon request}. 3rd Customer - Job was taking longer then estimated, Mark was found sitting around in the house watching TV.
