My Whirlpool Duet was giving an F06 fault code. The manual said it was an electrical problem. I called AA Appliance and they were very prompt at getting out to my house when there was money to be made. The technician arrived at my house the next day. He had to order a part (I paid the $329 up front). He ordered and installed it next day. I told him I was wary about paying over $300 for a repair when I could go buy a new machine for just a little more. I was assured that with proper maintenance it would last another 10-15 years... 3 weeks later (~10 loads of laundry) it has the same fault code. I call back and am told someone will call me next day to set up an appointment. 3 days later I call again since I was never contacted. I get a call next day and am told that the technician can come out in the next 2-3 days. At the end of the third day I call again and am told he will come next day. He does come the next day and spends about 20 minutes at my house (complaining the whole time about how inconvenienced he is by coming to my house). In that 20 minutes, he only pops the cover off of the front of the washer and moves some wires around (that were only out of place from the original "repair"). He then leaves without checking to see if a 12 minute cycle will actually finish or not. Of course it faults again. I call him back and he tells me he'll have to order another part and will give me an quote on the part the following Monday. An entire week passes and I have not heard from him. At this point I'm out $329 and have been wrestling with them to even look at my machine for almost 3 weeks. I call and demand a refund. While explaining my situation to Terry Haynes (the owner), he hangs up on me and sends subsequent calls to voicemail. I was very polite during the whole ordeal (no yelling/swearing etc). I even thought for half a minute that maybe he didn't hang up on me and just lost cell signal since there was absolutely no reason for him to hang up on me. After a day with no returned call though, I'm positive he hung up on me. As a side note, maybe I should have realized they were a little bit shady before I called them originally. It was incredibly hard to find the name of the actual company when I went to file a complaintwith the BBB. They have several websites specialized for each city in the metro area. The one I found them on was appliancerepaircovingtonga.com. They have several more for hampton/conyers etc. Not in a single one of these websites does it actually say the name AA Appliance anywhere. After digging around the internet, the name of the company is either AA Appliance, AA Appliance Repair, or AA Appliance Service depending one whether you're looking at the invoice they gave me, Angie's List, the BBB website, or some yellowpages/superpages site (I assume they are all the same since They all have the same phone number (770-707-1614) and say to contact Terry). AA Appliance gets a huge F from me due to the absolutely horrendous customer service accompianied by a failed $329 repair.
Description of Work: (Failed) Replacement of the ECU on a Whirlpool Duet ($329). This was followed by 3 weeks of them ignoring me.

They were prompt and they got the job done in a timely manner. They were very courteous, polite and economical. They got the job done in a timely manner and we have not had any more problems with the stove.
Description of Work: My gas oven was not working properly, so they installed a new igniter.
