+ -1 moreHe came to our house 5 years ago and graded and regraveled our driveway which was in huge disrepair. Our driveway is a steep incline and 600 feet long. Even a bit of rain was really causing the damage to go deeper and wider. He did a great job for us 5 years ago and the driveway has lasted well. Three weeks ago we had 5 inches of rain fall in 1.5 hours and it caused huge damage to the driveway. We called and he redid the driveway soon after we approved the estimate. Did a great job. Yesterday we had 3.5 inches of rain in a 24-hour period and the driveway has stayed in excellent shape. We recommend him highly! Very courteous, responsive and professional.
Description of Work: Graded and graveled my 600 foot, steeply inclined driveway.

+ -1 moreThe work was done well; I am pleased with the result. Due to a tight schedule, however, they started a day later than the original schedule, and as a result finished a day later as well. The owner has crews in several southern cities, and he travels to assist as needed. Phone calls were not always returned promptly, nor were we notified of some of the schedule changes. As of this writing (5 days after the concrete was poured), we are still waiting for the top soil backfill along the edges of the driveway. In addition, many pieces of concrete were left in the lawn, creating a hazard when mowing. I had to clean that up myself. Overall a great result, they just need to work on attention to detail after the pouring is finished.
Description of Work: Royal Grading and Paving no longer does concrete. They are strictly asphalt. However, one of his concrete workers started his own firm, Augusta Custom Driveways, and he passes the concrete work on to this firm. They were that actual firm I dealt with.

+ -1 moreI wish we had taken before and after pictures as the new driveway totally changed the appearance of my front yard for the better. Now my yard won't wash away and friends will have a designated place to park. Instead of concrete, I requested "SuperPak" which is recycled concrete. However, they used concrete "washout" which is much better and easier to work with. I really like the appearance of the surface and it is easier to walk on than crush and run. Alan Hodgkins was very easy to work with and did his best to accommodate my wishes.
Description of Work: Grading and tree removal to extend my driveway into a circular drive in front of my house and grading and restoration of the original driveway.

Description of Work: The services Royal performed don't fit into either category since they leveled and laid down 4" of crush and run. Alan Hodgkins detailed exactly how he would widen and resurface our driveway. The work included removal of three stumps that would have decomposed over time and compromised the surface.
